I would be so upset, flying that far for nothing. Issues happen and that's okay, but communication is key. Enjoy the trip, see the museums, get some good food. Don't stress over the content. Sharing the experience, the good and bad, is why I'm here.

I agree, sometimes stuff is out of our control....and this was a big letdown for you, the customer. What I would hope a company of Mercedes' stature would do, is offer to fly you back on their dime when your car is in fact ready so you can experience the thrill you had been promised. That would make it right in my book. Schmee seems like a really great guy, glad he could be there to assist you.

In a previous one of your vlogs, you were riding your S550, and I was the dude who commented something to the effect of "you'll miss the comfort of the S-Class", and I recommended that you go for the S63 vs the E. This very-balanced review of your E63 delivery experience in Germany has actually impressed me. It was consistently thorough at both the overview level, and touched on the right balance of details. Nicely done. I've changed my mind and the E might have been the better way to go here.

Having lived in Germany for the past three years and did European delivery with my 2016 BMW M3, I can tell you this was a blessing in the sky's. You probably would have gone nuts in your E63S while the engine is still in its break in period. This obviously would have been bad for your engine long term. So, I think this really will work out for the best. Also, there is another place like motor world in Frankfurt. It's called Klassicstadt. It has tons of supercars and antiques that are truly spectacular. They also have a very cool place to eat there as well. I'm sure Shmee (whom I met at Top Marques- great guy) has been there, too. Make sure to check that out. Also, if you are making a trip through Europe, you MUST go to Monaco. I think Shmee will agree.

Has anyone on TH-cam not had an issue with their new Mercedes?
haha it's so true..... I have a 2017 AMG E43 and the auto window up button doesn't work all the time, and the other day randomly my volume wheel stopped working, replaced by a blinking red light. Thankfully, this hasn't happened again, but part of me wants to get rid of it and go back to leasing japanese cars that I never had a problem with in 20 years. But I'm not gonna do that because driving an $80,000 Benz feels good.

Oh boy Parker, I feel for you. Travelling 4,000+ miles with so much excitement and anticipation, only to hear "your car's not here, it's not ready, and there's a problem with it and others like it" I can only guess how that will have taken your breath away. As a very small compensation, you at least got to drive one a bit through the Rev range - sounds fabulous. I've had my AMG CLS63 for two years (the one with the 5.5v8 BiTurbo), but today was the very first time I followed my car being driven by my wife and heard just how good mine sounds when your behind it, and she was only driving it conservatively in Comfort mode. Yes, make your videos as much as you can with whatever AMG's you can get your hands on - let us petrol heads hear the noise most importantly, and also, make sure on the videos you show the size of the grin on your face and the absolute childish giggles you get by being old enough to drive a beast like an AMG. You had a tough day, but keep enjoying yourself.

Do a tour of the BMW Welt/Museum, also rent an ///M car direct from the factory using the bmw on demand facility.

Hi Jason, yes you are indeed correct!
Porsche is based in Stuttgart, the Autostadt is based in Wolfsburg, the home of VW, but they have a pavilion for their group brands such as Porsche to exhibit their cars & latest technology. The Autostadt itself, literally 'Motor City", is absolutely huge and is essentially fantasy land for car lovers of all ages!
People can test drive the cars, see cars being built, interact with the latest technology, you could spend weeks just looking through the museum alone!
It also has a planetarium, a Ritz-Carlton hotel, Phaeno Science Center, the largest science museum in Germany, a water ski resort and a private art museum!
He's already near Stuttgart....so he doesn't need any more Porsche I guess 😂

have you ever built a car?your right they are a big company, part of the reason is because if they find a fault in a car they dont just deliver it to the customer anyway..if their is an unexpected fault THE car gets delayed
Gazza 'rafale mozzy' Mercedes is one of the top 2 car companies. Shit like this is unacceptable. He didnt go to a dealership around the corner from his house. He flew to the factory in another country. Especially for him not to even be notified. They shipped a E63s to a person in Canada who wasnt allowed to drive the car because it was a mistake an had to ship it back. Nice cars but they are fking up

I've been meaning to subscribe for a while ... Great videos ... And of course great choice on the new E63S !!! Looking forward to some great content on that amazing car. I really think it's the best all around car right now.
I did euro delivery on my Audi S4, they had no problems having it ready on my delivery date, just saying. Also Audi advertises their custom exclusive options, got mine in Merlin purple instead of the boring black, white, and silver. Whole experience was amazing tho, getting my own car on the autobahn and Nurburgring was a once in a lifetime experience. As a suggestion use Apple maps in Europe, used it all 3 weeks I was there and never got lost once.
Good to hear that Mercedes somewhat compensated in a way. If you can, spend a week or two in Germany and see what happens.
Advise from a German BMW employee: cancel the order and get an BMW M5. Regards from Munich 😉
