From minds that dared to dream, PETRONAS came to be on 17 August 1974, operating from a humble single-storey wooden-floored building in Jalan Dato' Onn, Kuala Lumpur.
Fuelled by passion and perseverance, we set out on our journey, diversifying our business and establishing our presence locally and around the world, eventually moving our global headquarters to where we are today: the PETRONAS Twin Towers. Along the way, we are honoured to have played a part in our nation's economic growth, and grateful for the opportunities we have to give back to society. We remain humbled by our achievements, as we mark our golden jubilee this year.
To commemorate this significant milestone, Datuk Abdullah Ahmad (Che Lah) - the man behind our corporate anthem, "PETRONAS Maju Jaya" - has crafted a heartfelt sajak (poem) that encapsulates our journey so far.
