- Continuing the 1951 Chevy Budget Rat Truck build, I first build wheel tubs or inner fenders, then decide to get rid of all the paint on the load bed!

Truck is looking cool Div. Tubs came out lekke', You right about sanding bondo...its a "kak" job. Tank you for sharing.
Thats one of the big reasons I play with rats now, sick of bondo, sanding and shiny paint that causes stress! 😂

The fiddle tune is Billy in the low ground..It was brought from the British Isles and is well played in the Appalachian Mountains in eastern North America,in Kentucky, Virginia and West Virginia..It was originally called William in the Low Country and depicts William of Oranges fight to drive out Catholicism in the British Isles and the Low Countries of Holland and Belgium.. There are a couple guys from eastern Canada you should check out in your spare time if you have any! One is called Fitzee's Fabrication and the other is called Station Road Ratrods. Fitzee is a magician with metal work and Barry is very good mechanically. Love the Chevy! Keep it Up!👍🇨🇦

Looking great Diff. I would like to see something done with the brake lights and indicators, it would break up that big flat section. Maybe the lights protruding out the back a bit more. Keep up the good work mate.

Great job making the wheel tubs. Paint removal would a lot easier with a wet sand or powder blaster ha ha. Dark brown for the wheel color.

Great job! How about some red paint for the wheels? And maybe add another color for the outer ring of the rims, like a black pinstripe or maybe a cream one? ;-)

I'm with you 100%! Grinding, sanding removing paint, rust, bondo.... sucks:( I hate drywall as well. But as you said there's nobody else to do it!!:) Great video as always!

It's certainly coming together, with the wheels if you take some of the paint off, and patina look like the truck, looking great, all the best to you and your loved ones, have a Lekka one

There was an old trick played on young workers when they first started, being sent for Tartan (- like a kilt,) paint, I know your a fabricating genius but have you made tartan paint lol. Brightest yellow Div

Good job on the wheel tubs ! Again you made that "look" quick and easy. I saw a very interesting patina technique on TH-cam
channel "Cory wheat customs" video title: How we did the patina on the 59 Chevy Viking. Dusted some paint over the bare metal , then used the rust chemical. keep up the good work !!!!!!!!

Very cool , sanding is about as much fun as hemorrhoids ... LOL redo the white on the rims then patina them , just an idea and maybe include a thin red line around the out edge of the rim , give it some pop and Build On

i think the rims would look good painted in that faded aqua blue'ish colour to match the patches on the original chev cab. and it would make the wheels pop right out

Do you paint the color of rust.or use pool acid to rust it up then clear coat it.?. Brake lights look good. Some old wood would look great in the bed. Have you ever tried using new wood and using vinegar and soaking steel wool in a bucket for about 30 minutes then roll it on the wood it will dry an old gray look.and keep it's strength of new wood then clear it with a matte varathane.just a suggestion. I make old wood signs just a force of habit. Have a great day.thanks for the video.

Duff, well another day done ! I know how messy that grinding all the old paint and filler is and yes it's a crappy job but, when you're done it sure looks better. Nice wheel tubs, They sure make the difference and are really easy to do, Is this truck going to be your daily driver when it's done ? Keep up the great work !
