Brings me back to a time when I had a fish named Shadow, he lived at my great great aunts house because we couldn't afford a fish tank at the time, my GG Aunt would never listen to me, one day when we were leaving from my aunts house I told her that it looked like shadow was stuck, she said that he was just playing again (we named him shadow cause he was always hiding) I kept asking her if she could get him out and she yelled at me for "talking back" we came back around a week later to find out that he was stuck, he got sucked into the filter and shredded 😭

The editing on these mod videos is almost as artful as the project, itself. You are getting pretty damn close to having enough dope builds to open your own art exhibit. You might burn the place down with the N64 mod...but I would pay good money to see that.
I think it’s pretty amazing that you can take apart and rebuild consoles like that, but please, don’t ever turn it into an aquarium again.
Idk how hot that thing can get when it’s running, but the heat will probably kill the fish. When you cast the interior in resin it pretty much cut off the air flow.
Besides, it’s too small for any living creature, really. The fish will probably drown in their own waste. Not a pleasant death.
I know this video was made awhile ago but I felt like I needed to say something. With all the comments saying that this is really cool and all. And don’t get me wrong, glass video game consoles are epic, but turning them into fish tanks is not.

It's clearly done to a high standard and it's probably more of a novelty project anyway, and yet... well, I hate to be "that guy," but some things about this do kinda bother me, namely "what if something goes wrong?" You do have two loose wires, and, on top of that... I know old consoles like this don't throw-out much heat, but casting the board in resin can't be got for cooling. Altogether, it doesn't seem like this would make a particularly comfy fish habitat (although I don't really know; I'm not a fish), although, these being goldfish, they might not really care.
Even though you hate to be 'that guy' well... You are lol easier to criticize from the comfort of one's ass; what makes him different from you is that he actually makes it happen. :)
I'm also slightly concerned about the well-being of the fish but I choose to believe he knows more about that than we do.

I used to take care of goldfish. This may be a better habitat for beta fish that like to live alone in smaller tanks. Goldfish are often placed alone in smaller tanks which isn't exactly ideal. In a perfect situation goldfish can live up to 5 or 10 years and when not space constrained grow to 7 or 8 inches so if these guys lived long enough they might be a little cramped. Since they're schooling fish you want at least two which is good to see here. Goldfish also generally prefer room temperature or slightly warm water and the SNES components don't really get that hot so they should be fine. Even cast in resin they would need to be a lot hotter than they are now to fail due to any heat issues and with the entire case being filled with water I bet it would be fine.
My only real concern would be cleaning. Goldfish poop a lot so without a filter or bottom rocks you're going to see poop and algae build up quickly. You can manage a little bit with frequent water changes but in order to clean hard water and algae from the sides then suction the poop off the bottom you're going to want to be able to take the lid off.
All said this should work for now with some effort to keep it clean and then transfer the fish to a bigger tank later but it's more work than I'd be willing to go through for some simple goldfish. Sweet build though, looks awesome!

I was thinking a remotely mounted cartridge slot might be a good idea to allow for a bigger tank, but after seeing your final product following the form of the original SNES, better the way you did it. - And no need to solve the problem of a ribbon cable or crazy wiring for the remote mount.

Impressive how so much time went into something so bad. Zero research was done on how to keep goldfish. If he actually left those fish in there then they died within a week. So sad.
