I see myself often finding new unique ways of doing things, and later people ask me how I did it and get inspired by me. Today I pulled 2 cards one was the Hermit & boy has that proven to be true today. And the other card was the Emperor. Today is 1/11 and I wanted divine intuitive wisdom to help me jump into the portal seamlessly. This card for me means now more than ever I need to be resolute in my dreams and vision. I need to be stubborn and aggressive in harnessing control and power over my own fears. I need to be resolved in diving head on into a higher timeline leaving behind the idea and wished well meaning family and friends desire for me (to teach in a public school) and instead follow my own path. I would say my Emperor quality that I can relate to is stubbornness. I can be stubborn and walk my own path but I can be flexible . I do like things to be organized and a certain amount of structure in the way I do things but again I'm flexible. I have always challenged authority and had great difficulty with taking instructions. Whenever I walk into a workspace, I always find ways to improve how things work and end up leading. Sometimes I see it as animals like a rooster or better yet, a silverback gorrila. I meditate before work. I journal afterward- I put a lot of effort in being just and prudent. I drew a frw cards last night. When I asked what archetype I'm currently embodying I got The Emperor. I'm also getting a lot of lady customers acting giddy around me. As your anecdote, yeah I have discovered that almost all people, like a general rule of this matrix reality, we seek outside what we lack inside, but this I believe has more magnitude and impact, like the song says "everybody is looking for something", we are always escaping away but at the same time chasing something in our lives, always on the move, then we remember the past as it was a "these were the good times" but no, because we are always on the move, rarely here and now, always chasing to fill a void inside of us, and this void is exactly correlated to what we are trying to get from the practical world, I am talking this from personal experience, because I love cats, probably the sincerity I rarely find anywhere else is what I find in them.

wow, I have The Emperor - Death Birth Card and I totally resonate with not wanting to tell people what to do. I like to set my own rules and would rather follow up with it on my own. haha! I always have affinity with the ultimate bosses (which usually causes issues of jealousy with co-workers), but its usually the smaller bosses (managers, supervisors, TLs and co-workers who have 1 level up ranks above me that I tend to have issues with, and these people are usually the ones that acts super bossy than the big bosses and the thought of them doing that to me really pisses me off thats why I usually ridicule them or just rebel towards them. I believe in respect begets respect. lmao
Career life has been unstable for a year now and everything I get a position, I pay for travel expenses, blah blah, it's retracted at the last second, putting me right back to square 1. I can't venture my own business because of a 12 month work contract from 😢 position with a covert narcissist boss. On top of that, I recently made the excruciating decision to halt my relationshipwith my perpetual victimizibg elderly father and a controlling Godmother. I want to be free of all this nonsense but these cords keep me stuck. For a week and a half, the Emperor keeps showing up. The word "sovereignty" stood out to me the most. I am a male 25 year old. In my very first reading, I had a lot of cards representing struggles and anxiety and patience. In the following reading meant to help me find a path forward, from that same individual, they pulled the emperor. They mentioned I might have a masculine figure in my life, whether my father or some other individual, that has really affected me and might be the reason for some of the negative aspects i’m experiencing now. I cannot pin point that at all. I don’t have a bad relationship with my father, albeit it’s distant, but there’s nothing negative there. I can relate to the Emperor, that being of a law unto oneself and being an independent thinker and nonconformist and wanting power and control especially over oneself. But Hierophant seems almost the opposite in a way? like conformist or something? I don't see myself as a conformist at all, but maybe I am in that I am sort of a status-seeker and status has to do with conforming to society?

Good question! Sometimes both sides of a card could apply, but how you read the card will depend on where it is in a reading (like if you're using a spread and a card shows up in the "let go" position or the "blocks" position, it might make sense to interpret it through a more negative lens). It also depends on who your reading for, what the question is, surrounding cards, what your intuition is telling you, etc.

I really enjoy this deep dive series. I'm always looking to expand my understanding of the cards. 🙏 *I'm very stubborn, Aries moon, Sag sun sign. Sometimes that helps me assert myself and get my needs met, at other times I've burnt a person to a crisp because they've tried to assert authority over me and try to control me. I feel that I'm very fair and kind, but crossing me is a mistake.

I am a male 25 year old. In my very first reading, I had a lot of cards representing struggles and anxiety and patience. In the following reading meant to help me find a path forward, from that same individual, they pulled the emperor. They mentioned I might have a masculine figure in my life, whether my father or some other individual, that has really affected me and might be the reason for some of the negative aspects i’m experiencing now. I cannot pin point that at all. I don’t have a bad relationship with my father, albeit it’s distant, but there’s nothing negative there. I can’t say any men in my life have done anything negative that I haven’t moved on from. They then pulled a card to clarify from another deck and it was the emperor again.
I just don’t know what this could mean. Could it be inside myself? Does this mean I am the one that’s causing the problems?
My family says I'm stubborn but I don't think so lol!
Will you please explain how emperor behaves as husband. What he expects in relationship, what he expects from spouse.. I heard " If emperor energy as husband he would be protective, provider.. Good in career, leadership qualities, little bit bossy n Controlling.. But in a respectable way " Is it true mam
I've gotten Emperor card and Hierophant card. I can relate to the Emperor, that being of a law unto oneself and being an independent thinker and nonconformist and wanting power and control especially over oneself. But Hierophant seems almost the opposite in a way? like conformist or something? I don't see myself as a conformist at all, but maybe I am in that I am sort of a status-seeker and status has to do with conforming to society?
Love your anecdotes to personalise the meaning of the cards. I tend to be a rule follower until I am not and then it’s start up the x wing fighter and full speed ahead to the Death Star 😂

My question today is, when you speak of the dark side, does it refer to the upside down position?
Cause to me, upright will always be talking about the "wise emperor" qualities, am I right, or can it come upright for an abusive leader? That just wouldn't make sense to me but Im still learning.

Thanks for this Kate. I always have a bit of a blank when the Hierophant comes up. Your explanations are great and I am enjoying this deep dive series. Question though - with the regular interpretations of the card and the dark side of the card, when does one know the difference in a reading?
Good question! Sometimes both sides of a card could apply, but how you read the card will depend on where it is in a reading (like if you're using a spread and a card shows up in the "let go" position or the "blocks" position, it might make sense to interpret it through a more negative lens). It also depends on who your reading for, what the question is, surrounding cards, what your intuition is telling you, etc.
I always get this in pregnancy readings for others first card out usually. Why is this?
