    It stills feels like a huge injustice that a man not yet convicted was put in solitary for 13 months! It is inhumane. It is an extraordinarily long time for anyone. Especially as he already had a serious mental health condition.

      @Oshunsprite It seems to me they made his safety a priority and tried to make him as comfortable as possible, more than other inmates in that situation. As a matter of fact, he is currently in a more restricted jail with fewer social interactions and access to gadgets than when he was in the prison! He broke because he's more fragile than most with his previous mental health issues and because his new reality of being institutionalized was too much for him to handle.
      Like I stated before, RA would've broken no matter what institution he was placed in. I don't know what people would've preferred; for him to get hurt in jail (it was extremely dangerous for him when he first got arrested) or for him to be out on bond until trial?? (which was never going to happen). I guess another option would've been the medical ward, which he still would've had a difficult time with, and they would have to keep him medicated, like the prison did.
      Sorry, but I don't see any other options or situations that would've been ok for him besides being at home with his family.

    55:16 Special Guest with Jumpsuit Pablo. First of all, Pablo thank you for your honesty. It appears that it is normal the way LE has treated Richard. They put him in prison for safety reasons and to accomodate him there, instead of jail. May Justice Prevail. Justice for Abby and Libby.

    • @melistasy
      @melistasy 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @justicejane2429 Yes, and that's what the prosecution has been trying to tell everyone. The problem is, I don't think anymore expected RA to be as mentally unstable as he turned out to be. He had prior mental health issues (depression, dependent personality disorder, etc...) that I believe would've made him go off the deep end in *any* institution!
      Also, i think he might've committed the crime, but the people around him are making him believe he didn't. Every time he tries to confess, they keep telling him he didn't do it, which caused the confusion he had.

      So unbelievably disgusting that this trial is being so censored and not only have RA’s rights been trampled all over pre-trial they continuing to be trampled all over during trial.
      The sad thing is that this will get overturned if he’s found guilty but it often takes years to get the point of going to a higher court & who knows if he will be alive then because housing anyone in Solitary Confinement for more than 4 days is inhumane. It’s recognised as being equal to torture the kind that was used on prisoners of war to get them to flip on information.
      I’m so disgusted with how he has been treated and continues to be treated and how this trial is anything but fair…. As The saying goes it’s better to let one guilty man walk then lock up an innocent person or something like that.

But I have to admit that I don't believe LE has the right guy in this case. While the details Pablo shared ring true, it is still cruel and unusual to throw RA in solitary at a max prison pre trial. Meanwhile, Idaho is getting it right with kohberger. People got so up in arms about his vegan meals. He has rights that they're protecting. What a stark contrast here with RA. There is a difference in single cell not in GP and solitary. Shame on Indiana.

      being harmed by others or keeping others (including us staff), safe from being possibly harmed by them. Our systems aren’t perfect, there are definite flaws and ongoing room for improvements, but everyday we put our own safety at risk for the safety of those we care for. Yeah, I agree. Once a person is CONVICTED and has been sentenced, all these things might naturally flow from that decision.
      The issue in this case is the first act: not having fair representation/day in court.
      We will never be able to rightly say if he genuinely broke or didn’t in that environment.

    Lee, thanks for the collaboration with JSP. My takeaway is that prison culture causes inmates, guards, and staff to look at every behavior as being strategically motivated to gain some small advantage. This really sheds tremendous light on why so many DOC staff immediately took and held the position that RA was just acting psychotic. Prison systems are really a universe of their own, and in my view inmates and DOC staff are like the cat and the mouse. Both are operating on the same level of eat or be eaten, and in my mind I think the DOC creates much of its own problems.

    • @shoe_thompsano
      @shoe_thompsano 15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @nickyjones867 Respectfully, I don't think you're familiar with Lawyer Lee's channel. To clarify, I believe RA is guilty and that justice has been served. That said, I understand why people with knowledge of how the law and trials work had issues with the prosecution (even tho I strongly agree with Allen's guilt)
      However, Lawyer Lee is an attorney, not a journalist. She's not just giving her personal opinions-she's explaining the legal process and the reasoning behind what’s happening in the courtroom that day. When covering the prosecution, she explained their actions and intentions, and she does the same with the defense. She provides unbiased legal commentary on the trial (feel free to go back and watch her coverage of the prosecution and tell me where she is biased, I'd like to know because my _'bias detector'_ did not go off with lawyer Lee, It did go off with Åndrea tho-- she's a snake).
      If she brought Jump Suit Pablo onto this show, clearly unprepped with talking points, and discovered things that contradicted the defense’s narrative, doesn’t that suggest something to you? It would be easy to manipulate a narrative, but that's not what she’s doing.

    • @shoe_thompsano
      @shoe_thompsano 15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@nickyjones867 Hi again, I just recently listened to lawyer Lee's "what's next video" and I admit that she sounded bias in it. I kept trying to remind myself when I was listening to her that she is a defense attorney and so her entire channel is about defense attorney stuff but she's absolutely pandering to her audience and saying stuff like, "It's not about if we think RA is guilty it's about if it is proven beyond a reasonable doubt" which I guess is in the area of a lawyer TH-cam channel but... She could admit that he seems guilty but it doesn't meet the standards of law and trials. :/ (amongst a lot of other stuff)
      She is definitely swinging for the appeal team which I heard rumors this whole trial cost 4 million so by a career standpoint it's great to bat for the defense team because they're getting paid by taxpayers nyah
      Long story short I concede but she is better than most

      @@shoe_thompsano hey! Thankyou for your reply. I think my issue is that I have always believed he is guilty, but I have not ever been able to give my view as you get attacked instantly! I’m just disappointed that people like her are clearly agreeing with the defence. I don’t know if you know ‘grizzly true crime’? She is another one I have so much respect for, but she is openly saying she thinks he is innocent. She has always been unbiased and for the victims. It disappointed me so much!!! I feel Lawyer Lee is almost disappointed in this video that JSP is saying all these things are normal!!!
      Honestly, this case has really got to me. I think I need to take a bit of time out as it shouldn’t be affecting me so much. I just cannot imagine the terror those sweet girls went through, and the pain their families have to live with. It’s made me so defensive in my viewpoint.

    Lawyer Lee, I would be happy to give you a fuller picture of the complex issue of conditions of confinement and solitary confinement. I am a criminal justice researcher and have interviewed over 6,000 prisoners in 22 states, including inmates on Death Row. My focus is specifically on access to health and mental health care and conditions of confinement in jails, prisons and ICE. I realize not everyone has this kind of experience; but this guest is accusing someone he does not know of "malingering". Allen may be guilty of a heinous murder; but in his conditions of confinement violate every international law and the US constitution. Prosecute him fairly and sentence him properly. If my studies interest you, they can be found online under my name. My brother was murdered, and I forced three changes in DA's to get the killer punished so I am not pro-defense, I'm pro legal prosecution.

    Treat people like animals and they'll behave like animals. This is why people who go to prison often go on to reoffend. If you weren't traumatised beforehand you will be after. How can you exist in that system and then come out and be a normal person who contributes to society? Look at WM3 Damien Echols. He was on death row long term solitary, he described his experience as "pure hell". Similar crime as well.
    Edit: Damien Echols was in solitary confinement for a decade.
