  • I applied this coating to the vehicle back in early November 2022. The client has had me wash it usually every month or every two months, so it has been well maintained. Here is what the coating looks like 1 year later on a daily driver.

    I agree with you, I used that on my car, and did two coats.. easy to apply and remove. High gloss.

      I haven't tried their 5 year, but I love their 3 yr and 8 yr! In my opinion, those are actually easier to apply than the adams lol. My next order will for sure have the 5 yr coating in it. Their coatings are my go to coatings at the moment

    I guess the new "big" thing by DIY is "The Stack"; a combo of "8yr + 3yr" or the "5yr + 3yr". I am thinking about the 8+3 or trying Blue Collar 7 (BC7) stacked with Blue Collar 1 (BC1). Adam's spray coating are pretty good, especially they are always running coupons anywhere from 20%-30% off on their website.

      @DelgadoDetailing  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah I love the DIY coatings. I haven't tried their 5 yr, but I've done plenty of 3 yr and 8 yr installs and they are great coatings. I am now an installer for their C6 ceramics coatings too so now I'm playing with those lol

    Sorry to bug you bro, but is it rue you can apply this elsewhere? Not just paint? Like trim, glass and rims?

    • @DelgadoDetailing
      @DelgadoDetailing  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Haha no worries, as long as people are respectful, I'll never be bugged by a comment. Yes! You can use it on trim and glass. You'll want to level it immediately on trim and glass though as the flash time is way quicker on those surfaces due to the material being porous.

    I just coated my car in this today but the car doesn’t get driven much and I don’t drive it when it rains but what shampoo do you use for this type of spray coating?

      I primarily do rinseless washes, so if you want to learn that, I'd recommend the DIY Detail rinseless wash. If you want a traditional soap wash, my favorite soap is the DIY Detail Incredible suds

    how do you store the adams graphene spray coating? Can you reapply the coating every year without polishing, just doing the decon process (wash, clay and iron remover)? Thanks

    • @DelgadoDetailing
      @DelgadoDetailing  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I honestly just keep it on my shelf in my garage. Not quite sure of the shelf life on it, but I wouldn't use it if it's been open and sitting for over a year

    • @DelgadoDetailing
      @DelgadoDetailing  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah for something like this, polishing isn't needed. However, if you were doing a 3+ year coating, I would polish after the decon just to be safe

    Do you recommend this product for headlights?
    And yes I know that they say it can be used on headlights, but what do you think?

    • @DelgadoDetailing
      @DelgadoDetailing  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I think it's a really good product to maintain your headlights! Once you see the water beading start to diminish, just apply some more. It'll definitely help in slowing down the oxidation process

    Hi, does anyone know how long after application this can be topped with something like a cos spray dressing? I’m looking at the collinite beadmaker ceramic/graphene product as a little gloss/bead enhancer….

    Can the Adams be used OVER an existing , say FLEX WAX? (Adams being a solvent based product)

    • @DelgadoDetailing
      @DelgadoDetailing  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I honestly wouldn't recommend it. The Adams will fail prematurely if it doesn't bond to the paint. For the best results, make sure there are no waxes or Sealants on the paint before applying their coating.

    dunno i applied this to a brand new car decon wash and clayed it. no polish. its been 10 months and its still behaving like day q i don't use toppers car lives outside. so ? will say probably is 18 months. remember this has wayyy more ceramic than any other sprayable product at like 12 percent solids in it. the only downside is its not as easy as a spray should be can leave difficult high dpots so if you want easy.. this isn't the right choice.

      I was using the turtle wax ceramic spray on my wife’s brand new suv and I sprayed it in June 2023 and it’s still beading but I’m going to use this Adam’s grapheme be used I just coated my STI with it but I hardly drive the car so the coating will last much longer because I don’t drive in the rain but the suv is also garaged but it gets driven in the rain. What soap do you use for the washing?

    • @DelgadoDetailing
      @DelgadoDetailing  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @E85_STI I honestly prefer to do rinseless washes over traditional soap washes. So if you are interested in rinseless washing, check out the DIY Detail rinseless wash and their rinseless wash sponge. If you prefer soap, I am loving Incredible suds by DIY Detail

    • @DelgadoDetailing
      @DelgadoDetailing  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The cure time is actually only 4 hrs! After 4 hrs you can return it to the customer. As for flash time, with the humidity there, you'll probably want to level after 15-30 seconds.

    You realize it’s not a “real” ceramic coating if it’s not in a glass bottle, right? They come in glass for a reason. It might be very good, but it’s not a real ceramic coating. That’s why you can get 12 oz for $26. It’s known as a “spray ceramic coating” & is a serious step down from a real coating.

    • @DelgadoDetailing
      @DelgadoDetailing  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      There are many "real" coatings that come in aluminum bottles. Are those fake? Of course, this coating doesn't hold a tea to coatings that have a 8 yr or 10 yr durability claim, but just because it has a durability claim of 1-2 yrs and doesn't come in a glass bottle doesn't make it fake. I've tried several "real" coatings before and they have the exact same solvent coatings smell that this one does. Heck even carpro has a lite coating that only lasts 6 months. Is that faker than this one? No. Both are real ceramic coatings with real ceramic properties, just with different durability claims

    • @larrysing
      @larrysing 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      What I meant really is if it's in PLASTIC bottle it's not real. Of course metal bottles can maintain the integrity of the SiO2. Thanks for the reply.@@DelgadoDetailing

      @larrysing Ah okay I gotcha. Thanks for the clarification. Let's just agree to disagree then. This stuff applies, smells, rainbows, levels and performs just like any other ceramic coating I've used, but just only lasts a year. I believe they said it's just a diluted version of their 9 year coating.

      Man you the man hahhaah I keep telling DETAILERS like professional detailer that put a 7 year coating on cars and say it dead in a year, proper washing techniques, the right products clean the coating properly and it's back!!! It's mineral, road grime... but they would say oh just top it with a sealant.... makes no sense to me if you put all the time to polish and coat a car why after applying sealant every wash 🤷🏾‍♂️ then to coating not doing its job it would be the sealant

    • @DelgadoDetailing
      @DelgadoDetailing  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @cebasmb8250 Facts! I mean this was just a 1 year coating so it's not that important to do a coating decon, but when it comes to anything 3yrs+, it's super important to decon the coating ever 6-12 months to actually get your money's worth from the coating. And also some Sealants can alter the hydrophobics of the original coating, so that's why I only will apply a sealant as a topper every 2-4 months but it's actually not necessary

      In a world where you can purchase an actual ceramic coating rated at 5 years from McKees 37 that works out to $30/car, I can't see utilizing this product in my arsenal.
      That's a garaged, well taken care of vehicle so that ceramic product will be shown in the best light. It's the same amount of time for prep and application for this coating or a full ceramic 3-5 year coating. I just don't see a wide market for this type of product.
