The T7 did well but more sense of occasion with the FW. I am old school from the 70's and 80's, like a bit of smoke and noise. Spend too much time on FS 22 with the grandkids, like the classics on there too. Not the modern stuff purring quietly. Great video thanks George, Cheers, Poth.
Hello George for 180 ponies she jingles along well u can hear the engine working and slipping abit but doing well iam ploughing at the minute with 7 furrow doweswell well was till all the rain keep up the good work I see on the news your area bad with floods look forward to the next video 👍👍
Love your vids George I’m 78 old school brought up on Fordson majors, grey ferries and Nuffield , the modern tractors are now to complicated , I wouldn’t know where to start , a pity really as I used to love my tractor driving 😔
That's one heck of a quite cab or a dam good mic with good sound suppression? . We have a single leg sub but don't really get down to far for all the drains we have... and the water table 😂.. Your vids haven't half changed over the years.. 😮😊.. on the mole plough though... Nice kit.. 👍🏻.. Do they do a Stone Ripper to? 😜. Stay safe 🏴
225 pulling well mate, do you think you’l go down the wheel weight route in future? There was always something satisfying about clearing a drain blocked with iron ore on our farm, came out like tomato soup
Definitely interesting (comparison?🤔) seeing the T7 pulling it that well. Begs the question, is that how far technology has come in the modern tractor compared to old school or different horse for different course's🤔🤷♂🤷♂
Any chance the FW can get to LM's Patreon day George? I won't be there as it's too far for me to travel, but would be nice to see the video! Thanks for showing the T7 225, certainly lugging at times, but you're right, she hasn't got the weight!
Hey George, Shame there is no outer bolt on back wheel covers that have a set of spring loaded sliding pins that have ground spikes on the ground side, so when the tires are pressed down as your pulling the attachment the spikes dig in to the ground as the wheels turn adding extra ground traction. the springs keeping the pins sliding down pushing the spikes in to the ground and releasing them as the wheels turn away from the ground. If you get what I mean? like a spring outer wheel but with stainless steel spikes giving more grip. Or a Tractor with built in back wheeled tracks may do the ground grip better?
I have seen a tractor with a hydraulic operated version of what you are suggesting, pull the spikes in for road travel and out for field work. Downside is it makes the tractor wider 👍
@@GeorgeSaunders They can hate it all they want you used teh TW and will use the FW they arent gonna be wasting away in some shed and i say thast a good thing
@@GeorgeSaunders they are both a nice bit of kit. Takes my mind back to when I was doing mole draining either a Ransomes single leg trailing mole drainer behind either a Fordson County Crawler and a Trackmarshall Crawler. And it was a slow job them days
Cheers Branno, the technology on the new stuff is amazing, but you can't beat a bit of simple old school 👍 the mole plough forms a channel under the soil to help with drainage 👍
It provides a tube through the soil (in this case 4" diameter) that excess soil water will drain into. This water will travel down the pipe until it either exits into a pond or ditch directly OR much more likely an artificial drain installed in the soil. Often these artificial drains have a narrow trench which the drain tile or perforated plastic pipe laid in them. The trench is filled with clean gravel backfill nearly to the soil surface. When the mole passes through the backfill the water in the mole drains down into a "proper" tile drain which pipes this water often to a system of drains which eventually lead to a suitable outfall. The length of time a mole will exist is 1. very dependant on the characteristics of the soil that they are drawn through. Normally a high clay content is a basic requirement. 2. The volume of water moving through the mole itself as this will erode the soil to some extent 3. The amount of snow, rainfall or flooding both as measured in the short term - perhaps 2 -4 weeks and long term over an several months eg Autumn through to late Spring 4. the use of heavy vehicles or machinery, especially on wet soils, will cause mole drains to collapse so the mole system fails to work due to blockages 5. Particularly in the case of flooding the drainage system outfall may well be underwater itself in which case little or no excess water will be drained away off the soil until the outfalls are exposed due to falling levels of water in local streams and rivers. Hope this helps, Dan
That's not what I call mole draining, all I see you doing is subsiding , mole draining in my day was done with a mole the size of a canon ball or shot put, almost the diameter of the porous pipes, and that tractor would not of been able to pull it, we used a Caterpillar D8 and you would always pull up hill if there was a gradient and ride back down with the track on the Grove you just cut closing the Groove, contractors don't like doing that way because it's slower and more expensive but it's the correct way to do mole draining.
Now she sounds well under a bit of pressure it's loving that mole..... Think as always George you know what I'm going to say,,,, get rid of the Fastrack and the FW, yes they both sound great but there work has been done time to step them down and start thinking green........ John Deere green never mind blue and yellow go green better for the environment!!!!!!

Great video as always George great drone footage 👍👍👍
Great vlog George. Really interesting to see old tech v new tech on the mole.
Hallo george Nice Film from ceres mole underground plough. The New Holland t7 make a good Job with a little traction
Another fantastic video George with plenty of great information well explained. That was no problem for the T7
Great vid George - the T7 doing very well I thought. 🚜👍😊
Great video George - after the FW the T7 acquitted itself very nicely!
another great video again George always enjoy watching your videos 👍
Cheers Glen 👍
Great video George 👍 thinking about it another way if the T7 had the grip of the FW then T7s power might have struggled 🤔 good job 💪👍
Interesting video George New Holland to the rescue great tractors you can't beat them keep the vids coming George
Great job Liz and George👌👍🙏😎
Best of luck with everything on the farm ahead 👍👍👍
Great performing T7

Loving the 225 videos George! My new 225 bluepower is only a week or 2 away now, ordered in June. Can’t wait! 🎉🎉
Good luck with it👍

Nice video George, pulled it easy
The 225 has done well George. How would the TW have coped I wonder. Probably struggled maybe???..
Seen a fw 65 the other day instanty thought of you

Lovely job. Had there been more moisture in the soil it would have pulled a lot easier.
I would love to see your FW with some Goodyear Titan LSW tyres they are really good but haven't taken off here in great Britain yet
We can subsoil at 12 inch’s deep with 6 legs on a T7210
I should hope a 210 can pull 6 legs at 12 inches
@@GeorgeSaunders struggles because if the compaction properly pulls it down in power

“Don’t send the bale in” 😂
Just in case👌😂
making good job just in time for the rain
Not a farmer, but love farm machines so I apologize for my lack of knowledge. Just curious what the chain on the back of the plow is for?
The "plug" or expander on the end of the chain forms a channel under the soil to help with drainage 👍
The T7 looks to be doing a good job on the mole ploughing. Would you fit auto steer to the FW George. Great video George 👍 🚜 🔧
I have fitted the kit that was in the TW into the FW, people will hate it no doubt 😂

On agricultural college, professors called this tool a "torpedo".
Hi George great video mate 👍 I still watch your old videos when you was at jwb and Henry saunders.
Need a fast trac 8330 on the mole
Haven't even got to the pulling bit yet but course it will pull it.. it's only 1 leg in the ground, would pull a 2 leg buster...
Szuper 👍☺️🚜💪
Another great video George, what's the difference in horse power between the T7 225 and the FW30 ?
T7 225 180hp unboosted, 225hp boosted.
FW30 300hp👍
@@GeorgeSaunders was the T7 boosting on the Mole Plough or is it only PTO and road work ?
Hy! Is there a video about the autosteer system? I thought chcnav is available only with those ugly steering wheel hub motor?
It is the first tractor in the UK to use the tractors own valve block and steering wheel
Just seen Obie kobie D2 CAT DRAGING SOME FARROWS GOT FOUR INCH
PLUG more water in the tank but wheat grows better mildew wet fields
good job 👍
George would the j.c.b had coped better with subbing ? Cheers budd for up load regards😊👍😊👍
Probably not, the Fastrac is lighter so would have struggled with traction👍
How often do you mole drain your fields George?
5 to 10 years is the norm👍
What’s the function of the mole ???
Cheers Branno, the technology on the new stuff is amazing, but you can't beat a bit of simple old school 👍 the mole plough forms a channel under the soil to help with drainage 👍
Did you get any of the rain we had not that far west of you today?
Which day did you actually film this video
This was probably a couple of weeks ago, trying to catch up with videos, yes we've had a ton of rain!
How does your forward speed compare.?
It was probably at it's maximum forward speed most of the time Geoff, FW could have gone quicker 👍
when was the field drained,
Late seventy early eightys I can just remember them doing the job 79 seams to come to mind
cracking video but what does Moleing do :)

Bloody good explanation 👍
Never seen mole used before so I'm gonna be thick here 🤪 what's it for . ( job purpose)
May i ask george what happened to your finger plus great video
Chopped the tendons years ago, so can't bend it properly 👍
that tractor pulls better than the big tractor.
But it didn't, did you not take any notice of the comparison?
Is that the company who will bore out the rusty cylinders and insert stainless steel liners ? Put them back to new spec.
Yes, that's the company 👍
