The host Shereen played her role well with ease and knowledge. Because of her active and timely queries the session turned very lively and useful. Good debate indeed.

Flaw less , clear , up to the point, invoking interest to layman also- such wonderful conversation is best in recent months. The best thing is Niti ayog expressing confidence in Indian talent . All panelists are at their best . Thanks to news channel and the anchor is also at her best

Anyone remember when Modiji is talking about Digital India , cashless transactions???
people and of course me too used to laugh at him..
Now I feel ashamed 😞 it is really happening.. here in US , we dont use that much digital transactions as compared to India. small roadside vendor does not accept digital transactions here in US, and In India even small vendor has capability to accept digital transfers...
I highly appreciate vision of Modi "JI"

Indians, remember YOU are RESPONSIBLE for this news. YOU elected MODIJI.
I would have NEVER expected to see such news before 2014. Thanks to 🇮🇳 and Indians for electing Modiji and the BJP. My head used to hang in shame when I used to see the UPA, it's corruption, its minority appeasement and how PM MMS was treated by pappu and his party. Like the rest of the world, I too was shocked to see the UPA give a non response to 26/11 due to their vote bank politics. If we don't want to return to those days, it's Modi and BJP again in 2024 🙏💪

Digitization of India has happened in spite of the bureaucracy and not because of it.
Bureaucracy has very little contribution to India creating the best digital public infrastructure in the world.
Indian government is still using paper files for most of its functions. Digitalization of the government should have happened first, that will ensure more transparency and efficiency in government functioning.

2 are from IAS. NITI and Telecom.
      Anchor is knowledgeable.
She is asking technical qs properly. On UPA question, she should have asked poor people. Yes , while using UPI many do not know that they are using UPI. Ultimately Govt has to charge on UPI. Where is RBI's digital currency?
Shopkeepers charge extra for plastic cards. They will charge for UPI; every shopkeeper will not pay. People have 2 realize that Telecom is not road. People have 2 pay slowly. Why IT Secretary is not invited? Ms Bhan may note 4 future.
Banks should conduct properly with poor when they go there. Poor people hesitate. Universalization of UPI is interesting. Ultimately will it lead to one global currency? Banks have imposed some restrictions on UPI transfer; cap on amount. At times we face issues. Banks are charging for transferring money to digital wallet in the name of revenue generation.

9:23 When charges are made to Merchant by Visa or MasterCard we don't have anything to state. But when govt charges it and ensures the money is rotated within the country, why should we have an issue.

India should allow foreign nationals living outside India to join the aydhaar authentication network just like Indian nationals working abroad can. This will allow India to spread its network and economy abroad, not only for inport/export businesses, but will allow foreign customers to buy through ONDC and have products shipped abroad from India (with shipping, customs declarations etc. also handled by ONDC aggregators). Also foreign nationals and companies can remote work in India for customer facing services and freelancing in those countries for Indian companies, and pay Indian and foreign taxes as required by both India and the foreign country requirements as necessary.
Because joining and providing data like fingerprints and retinal scans would be voluntary, the foreign countries cannot prevent this using data localisation laws, because the adhaar data would be submitted voluntarily and would be held in India. This could also help in prevention of terrorism, tax evation and fraud by foreign nationals trading with, visiting, or spying or carrying out terrorism in India because their identity can be traced.

Unless Rupee is fully convertible, the growth of UPI across the border is questionable. Today if you remit money abroad, a significant % gets stuck in the system due to Rupee not being convertible.

10:03 "customer doesn't pay, merchant pays"
Where does the merchant get money from? 😂😂😂
Merchants will have to increase their prices to pay those charges, so ultimately customer has to pay!!
    Kisko murkh bana raha hai??

All this is good, but if India need to be of better service to its citizens, the mandatory minimum wage need to be raised to living wage. That would help a lot of people get out of poverty. I feel the middlemen is what makes all the money in India where the producers and consumers are severely punished. For example, clothes are very expensive in India compared to other countries but the people foot soldiers - working in the textile industry are not rich, and the consumer is forced to pay high prices for textiles - finished goods I mean. Same story with farmers.
