This had to be done in order for God to even deal with you.
2 Corinthians 5:19 and Ephesians 1:7 says all your sins were already forgiven.
Salvation is not of yourself. Ephesians 2:8,9
If you want to be saved, then you need to follow Gods instructions. Not mans opinion of what Gods word says.
Thre's a BIG difference.

Need this prayer in the morning. Father, I pray to You asking for forgiveness of all my sins in my past week. You know them in my heart (pride, lust, envy, etc.). I pray for all of us to cultivate a continual heart of repentance and turn wholeheartedly towards a life that puts our trust in You. You are Greater, and worthy of all of our worship. You are mighty and strong and deserving of all my praise and honor. Give me the strength and desire to continually walk in obedient towards You O Lord. Show me the sins of my heart, my inner darkness of my heart and mind, convict me, and lead me out of my own sin as well as the Devil's temptation. Remind me that You are powerful, and I pray that Your love and grace would be poured out upon me in Jesus' precious name. Amen.

If you want to go to heaven, the Bible says the only way is to believe the Romans 1:16 gospel of your salvation.
Jesus DIED for all your sins. The wages of sin was death, and he paid it all.
Trust the Word of God (king james Bible).
The bible says that anything that is not of faith in Christ is sin. Romans 14:23 kjv.
We sin sometimes without realizing it. As long as saved or unsaved people live in a fleshly body on earth, we will sin. Romans 7 proves this.
There is no more sin to confess. Everyone born today is a sinner, yet Christ forgave and died for every single one of your sins. Ephesians 1:7; 2nd Corinthians 5:19 kjv.
He took those sins to the grave and left them there. Then he rose again 3 days later.
Thats the gospel. 1st Corinthians 15:1-4 kjv. Thats the good news this world rejects:
*Jesus died for your sins according to scripture, he was buried, and he rose again the third day according to scripture.*
If people choose to believe the gospel they are SAVED from Gods eternal rath. If people chose NOT to believe, they will go to hell forever in thier disbelief.
Salvation is not getting your sins forgiven, its believing they already are.
