A no-flask run with the Convergence mod sounds really fun! I just had a blast with a magic-only bloodflame build with a few other toggle buffs that made FP regen more than sustainable even without cerulean flasks, so I wonder if that can be achieved with HP too?
Yes it can. You can get the Blessing of Grace from Brother Corhyn from the start of the game, which grants you 10HP/s regen. That stacked with Convergence's innate 1FP/s regen and multiple spells available that make that regen bigger (i personally played Mystic class who has the Spirit Link spell that grants 1fp/s + removes spirit summon debuffs), and there are are also talismans that grant you even more HP and FP regen. You 100% can play the entire game without ever needing to use a flask.
Great vid i enjoy watching, there is always better staff/seal for every class in the mod -i think- and i hope to see you pick them up for the next playthroughs, its just that they didn't put it in the starting notes and they are massive upgrade.
Quick tip if you didn’t know (saw you moving the map all the way over to the round table grace) if you hit Y, X, A while in the map, you’ll automatically go to the round table grace.

Just a note the remnant that boosts cast speed of spells was buffed compared to base game so its very very good for slower casting spells like the charion greatsword, its become a permanent staple in all my builds of this mod

The dude that played so much in covergence and still does not realize that weapons do not deal mixed damage and instead deal pure elemental damage if infused that way. This means that against bosses with high magic resistance (Rennala, Loretta) it did not matter if you used spell or melee, since your melee weapon was doing pure magic damage anyway.
oh I honestly thought there was a split because the weapon has a certain number in physical and then in this case magic damage, so I assumed, while also doing magic damage it was still counting towards physical to an extent making it optimal to use melee over pure magic which I assume the number would all be magic. Basically it's the menu numbers throwing me off LOL
@@curtisthecactus well, if it says something other than "0" next to "physical" in the weapon stats then it does mixed, and I would have to apologize for false info. I said that because so far every single weapon i saw and used in Convergence dealt only pure damage of one type, never mixed. Sombers are sombers, and for non-somber weapons when you change their affinity you completely change the damage type it deals, getting completely rid of physical damage. Maybe there are some exceptions to it, but I have yet to come across one.

@@curtisthecactus Then I am full of admiration how you manage to be good at this game without looking at the numbers, hahah, with the way these games work nerding it all in is kinda key to optimizing your character, which i both enjoy, and don't at the same time XD Especially important with all the various buffs from armor/clothing/spells/talismans here, knowing specifically what damage type you deal, what buffs work for which weapon/spell you use and so on is a must IMO. That being said the equipment we get in Convergence is so OP in some cases that it does not really matter in the end. Great videos in general, keep up the awesome work!
The real mage build is locking on 9 vigor, never upgrading it. Also, the weapon is very busted, but if you get 1 shot by everything it balances it out perfectly. Im playing this pure mage build too. The spiral magic would be great vs dragons. I killed greyoll, by killing smaller dragons with the spiral. Also, greatbow is trash. Only it's range is semi good. But you could do a lot more with comet or spiral spam vs big targets. Phalanx is also pretty bad imo. The laser beam one is actually game breaking. You can summon multiple of them. I perma stunlocked malenia and she didnt get to come in front of me. Such is the power of the starborne. I also used a lot of the death magic where you summon 3 skeletons. That spell is mega busted for stunlocking and cheesing stuff. It easily deals more dmg and is spammable and capable of locking targets. It also deals physical damage, I think, which makes it even better when you get 3 hits. Near end game it falls off hard though. Comet deals about 1100 dmg for me, nothing can beat that. Even that sword. Too slow it is. Magic is very strong in damage and being a glasscanon is for me the most fun way to play any souls game. It is very frustrating though. Also the long cast times make it even harder to dodge. Magic is perfectly balanced when you get 1 shot by everything.
I realize what happened now, when I clicked "close gaps" to move all the clips into one to render the video I clicked the 1st audio track and bc I was talking to my sister at that time I cut out my audio so it never got moved and that's why it stayed over the fight. I didn't even notice it! Thanks for pointing it out tho.
Dude, I appreciate you demonstrating is convergence mod classes. But can you like not narrate every single thing you do we can see you rolling and we can see you drinking your Estes and we can see you attacking. I don’t know if you have a lot of blind people that watch your videos if so, my bad.
and u def should have sticked to shard spiral ... it is def good egnough in mana to damage relation to be used as main spell even it is slow ... it just eats evrything easy and is spammable
Yeah currently working on breaking the habit, as i've seen a couple comments like this. I gotta let the gameplay speak for itself sometimes I’m just always worried about “dead space” with no commentary and me just fighting something
I know this is a old comment but playing reforged first where everything did no damage and everything had a weird delay because the perfect timing system. Convergence having all these cool options that work and are viable made me enjoy it a lot more. I also play seamless coop so bosses have a lot more HP.
