Great tour of the layout. Don't under estimate yourself. This is one of the most inspirational and fun working layouts I have seen. It has certainly inspired me to build my own similar one. I don't quite have as much room to build one as big, but it has all the fun items on including a turntable and a mail set. Thanks to you for the advise getting them working well. It appears to be based on Hornby's fourth edition track plan 17, my dream layout as a kid. Keep up the videos they are always a pleasure to watch.
Yes you are perfectly correct; its based on Plan 17. But no 1st radius curves, Turntable added and a few high speed crossovers and a connection from one branch line to join the oppisite main line. Regards Baz
Hi Barry, like you I am getting on a bit and I no longer build models Eg brass and white metal Kits. I started with OO and graduated to O gauge and I still have them all to this day. I used Peco and flexible track and I also made all my O gauge points, I fitted them all with Slowmo motors. The best thing I ever did was to convert all my locomotives to DCC ( digital Chipped) and the O gauge was with the Sound Chips, I know it doesn’t come cheap but the advantages are brilliant and you only need two wires for the layout, so you can park your models anywhere you like. Regards from Ron 🚂👍😃🚂
Hi Barrie, thats a very generous offer to come and play with your prode an joy train setup, just a pity you are in England and I'm in Australia and I don't have the funds avaiable for such a trip, but thankyou for the offer, I'm sure you will get some train ethusatives visting you.
