I am also considering a Thormalen Serenade, but can't decide between mahogany, walnut, cherry....what combination of woods did you choose for this harp--it has the type of sound I love (warm, bell-like, not too bright). And of course, your playing made it so beautiful!
Thank you so much Michelle! Actually for a Serenade, you don't get to decide on the wood choice. The soundboard is made of Okume (African mahogany), the pillar and feet are made of mahogany, and the neck is maple pin block. However, you do get to pick your choice of stain. Mine is chestnut with contrasting soundboard stain and front binding. It is fitted with folk gut strings which sound warmer than nylon or carbon strings. Hope this help!
