I just want to update you, we made these garden beds. Great idea! I believe this is the 3rd year and still looking like new. Thank you for sharing this idea. Made them exactly like you did yours 😊
So glad to hear that!
Love it !!
These are great! I used treated lumber; wish I'd thought of cedar planks. For those who don't have a way to rip 2x4s, you can just buy 2x2s for the corner/side posts.
Thx Lisa! Great tip and tutorial!
This is on my wish list! Love your raised garden beds!
I think i can do this!! Yay! Thank you for this tutorial! ❤️
Perfect idea!! Going to do this also
Great info, what a wonderful garden. Thanks for posting.
I love your garden! Thanks for sharing all of this information. 😁🥕🥒🥬🌽🌶🍆🍅👨🏼🌾👩🏼🌾
Very affordable project. Thanks for sharing!
Your beds look very nice! I have been using raised beds for years now and I love it!
We've been gardening in raised beds for years. Great inexpensive option! You have put together such a cute little garden. 🤗
Very interesting. Hope your keeping well Lisa
We did raised beds this year to make it easier for my back... Loving them 💖🙏
That’s brilliant!! Thanks so much for sharing!!
I've done this method and it works well. 2 cheap C-clamps can help stabilize when building by yourself but a great cheap way to get into gardening. The pickets will last about 5 years but the soil keeps its form so rebuild a new frame and fit it over where you removed old one.
I enjoyed. Always great to learn more.
Love it! Would love to have a veg patch like that!♡
Thank you for the video. I plan to use it later
Great tutorial! Love raised garden beds!
Thank you so much for this detailed AWESOME video! Perfect for a newbie like me! I actually followed your directions and advice and they turned out beautifully! 😍 I so wish I could show you a picture! 🤣😁 You guys are amazing! Keep posting goodness! New subie!❤
Good idea using fence post!
Love this video ❤
Hi, your garden is looking so cute
Thank you so much for this idea! You saved me so much money!
Glad I could help!
Thanks for the great idea! My husband built me two using your instructions.
that's great!
Thanks 🌻
I did a video on our diy beds too. Such a treat for the entire family. 💜
Hi Lisa have you thought of starting a worm farm the castings will be awesome benefit for your garden.
I’ll definitely be using this for when I make my own raised beds next spring!! Side note: I love your dress! Where did you get it from?
These are great! How are they holding up?
I would love a companion video on how to make good soil in a raised bed. Info on organic fertilizers/compost tea after the initial planting. We live in town and all our soil is 'bad'; andy/silty. We've gotten compost from my parents farm different times, but it seems like the fertility only last a year then the next season the plants are spindly again. I really want to try raised beds so hopefully the nutrients won't leach out of the soil so fast. Thanks!
It's best to put new compost in after you harvest, and before the next planting. Growing plants use the nutrients, compost replaces them for the next planting.
I love your videos 🥰 I noticed you don’t have a P.O.BOX. I’m a “home crafter” and wanted to share my fabric pumpkins with you.
I have been wondering how to do these!! I've tried them in the ground with no success where I live.
What did you put in the bottom? It appeared to be a weed control screen. Is that right? Did you till the soil under it or just put on top of the grass?
If the 2x4’s (or2x2’s) aren’t treated, will they rot? I also don’t want to use treated lumber on our future beds.
Question with getting ready to make these. What is the best cost efficient way to fill these beds when I only have bad dry rock and no soil.
What should did you use?
Where did you get the pickets? Ive looked online and at homeddepot and lowes and neither of them have single cedar pickets for $2
What do you put on the bottom of the raised bed was it a plastic bottom?
So are they pockets or posts? You mentioned both. Thanks.
Oh, thanks. I see that crazy auto correct made me look stupid again...pockets...oh, well.
I think you meant cedar fence 'boards' . . not posts or pickets.
I was wondering where the 'posts' were. lol
Amazing raised beds ! ! !
I'm a Believer she used pickets for fencing. That’s why they were shaped that way at the top.
@@mrsamywhite
True . . but she called them posts at the beginning. I kept looking for the posts. lol
I have a question about growing tomatoes in a raised bed; wouldn't tomatoes need a lot deeper space into the ground for their roots to grow? Thanks!
Old question but:
Tomatoes grow really well in smallish containers so my guess is no 😅
It’s April now so does that mean it’s too late to build a raised bed and grow vegetables for spring?
no definitely not! but I'd start soon

What a wonderful garden. Thank you for the good video.
