Keaton Jennings mostly starts well in test series, but fails during the middle and end. Like this innings, he got 42, and after that he didn't even pass that score. Only when he scored 36 did he look the way he played this innings. Another problem: he misses out on 50. Eng vs South Africa, he scored 48, this innings 42, against Sri Lanka 46 and for Lancashire 48, which he also scored 40* in. Another reason is his vulnerability to pace and his stance of his bat. I remember on the TV in a report where someone mentioned that Jennings keeps his bat too close to his body. One significant thing, however, is that he is a good player of spin bowling, like Joe Root too. Sadly, that won't be enough for him to retain a spot in the Ashes unless Bayliss decides to do so. It is going to be a very tough time for him to impress England once again.
