    Am I disabled or does the swivel foor make the stand super unstable when you turn it even slightly?

    Question, how stable are these high hat pedals with the legs rotated that far? Seems like it could wobble or fall over.

      For me at least it's super unstable even if I turn the just a bit and I don't know how to fix it. I hope it's me and not the stand, so if someone knows how to fix it, plz help

    Just bought one. It always wants to tilt back. Don't like it at all. The button clutch is a pain also.

    • @letroy7227
      @letroy7227 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Iron Cobra HH605 are more like other "standard hi-hat stands": it's a tripod (905 is bipod), it has a regular chain action (905 have a "glide system"), and the footboard has a fixed position (you have more angle/distance control with the 905)...
      The biggest difference remains the price: the 600 series cost around 150€ vs 250€ for the 900 series... That's a big deal :-/

    Great stand but if you are using 2 bass drums with the iron cobra 900 single pedals and the bass drum hi hat attachment be wanrned the pedals do not line up. No problem with a single bass durm and doubel bass pedal.

    I love everything about these pedals but the STRAP. Crucial bit of info that should come as no surprise to anyone here. The strap WILL eventually break. I’ve broken 2 so far (one speed cobra & one iron cobra) both within 3 years of purchase. My 2 Tama chain drive hi-hat stands have lasted years (one 20 years and the other 6). To me this makes it an inexcusable design flaw. Can Tama please make the Lever Glide but with chain linkage where the strap is? I love the action of these pedals but cannot have one break on a gig.

    How does having to depress the pedal twice as far translate to “half the effort”?

    • @duyhoang
      @duyhoang 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it works in the same way like (cable -) pulley.

    • @IAmInfinitus208
      @IAmInfinitus208 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because it's using less of the chain system like most hi-hat pedals. Since it's less chained and more connected with a Kevlar strap instead, it slightly lowers the effort to press down and reduces the energy needed from your leg.

    The spring loaded bottom hat thing is a gimmick. It changed the way my hats sounded so i sold it and got a pearl h1050 for my star set. Plus the chain wasn't pulling straight down. I had to drill new holes for the wire pedal connection to make it pull straight down. I've got an 8 piece star set but I wouldn't recommend tama hihat stand. But they make the stands in China, so what do you expect?

    • @guiltyspark343able
      @guiltyspark343able 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've had a previous version of this hi hat stand for at least 5 years and never had problems, its smooth, rock solid and easy to use and set. Pearl h1050 in my opinion looks intermediate level, the tripod and the beginner style foot plate doesn't convince me. I believe your hi hat problems could be sold just by putting some grease and changing the spring on the pedal....

    • @IAmInfinitus208
      @IAmInfinitus208 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@guiltyspark343able Plus you can make adjustments and change some modifications to it. That's the unique thing about Tama's pedals and hi-hats, their adjustability.

    Pay a bit more for your backing track - it's a travesty that the music falls over and doesn't get back up again!
