    We ride on level 2, pedal just past "Ghost pedal," and are only two bars down after 25miles. Flat, 250lbs, 90 deg... Love this thing!!!

      a great deal on a great bike. I paid $1600 for mine (if memory serves) and I regret nothing.

    I bought this ebike for my daughter and it actually peaks at 1140+ watts as the bike is shipped with PAS5=75% of max power so it appears to peak around 870 watts or so.. but if you go into the advanced menu and set PAS5=100%, you get 1140+ watts peak all the time when pedaling. if you don't pedal and use throttle only, it only peaks around 870 watts. No one realizes this on these reviews. Great bike, torque is a bit weak at 60 NM so not the best at hill climbing. Nice review.

      What does this mean for riding? Do you go faster or just get up to speed faster? More torque? Less range also?
      Asking because im thinking of getting this bike used.

    • @AP-go1ks
      @AP-go1ks 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      The torque does not increase, it is fixed at 60 newton meters, but for riding, here is the impact: when pedaling, you have significant more power, which means faster acceleration and easier hill climbing. 750 watts = 1 horsepower, 1140+ watts = 1.52 horsepower. So it is faster getting up to speed, however top speed remains the same at 28-30 MPH. If you do not pedal, the motor will keep it at the usual 850-870 watts (peak) or so on throttle only. The drawback when using 1140+ watts peak is the battery drains ~25% faster, which means we get only 14-15 miles on PAS5, vs the usual ~18 miles. On the converse, you can tune the bike for less power and more range, which is what my daughter wanted. Very flexible. The bike is a steal at $1200@@kaizen_creations

      @@AP-go1ks thank you for the explanation! Seems like a good bike. I like that its customizable settings wise as my current ebike isnt. Do you happen to know how heavy the bike is with and without the battery in? Id have to carry it up/down 3 flights of stairs unfortunately :(
      But this guy is selling it for $900 after just upgrading brakes and kickstand and comes with a brand new battery as well as the original one so its quite a deal.

      Bike is 65 lbs, battery is 9 lbs or so. If you get the passenger kit with the extra seat, foot pegs and leg shield, it will be closer to 70 lbs. So heavy bike, but very robust!@@kaizen_creations

    I like how Ride1Up sets up their cadence sensor bikes so each PAS level corresponds to an amount of power sent to the motor rather than a speed target. It’s easier to manage the bike (I’ve been thrown off bikes that use speed targets due to high bursts of power while making tight maneuvers) and it doesn’t cut off assistance until you reach the class limit.
    I think this is one of the most elegant-looking cruiser frames. I think it would look sharp equipped with tires with white or tan sidewalls.

    they knocked it out of the park on styling, just a shame it only has 60nm of torque. holding off buying one until they bring torque sensor+at least 80nm+ motor

    HELP! As a new purchase, I can't find anything on brake adjustments?

    • @RunBikeMike
      @RunBikeMike  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It depends on what you want to adjust. They are just standard hydraulic disc brakes. So depending on your needs there should be a large number of videos out there on how to adjust them. I might have a few. Just let me know what the issue is and I will try to help out.

    its a 500 watt motor that runs 750 SUSTAINED....look it up

    • @vigilant_1934
      @vigilant_1934 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sustained means continuous which is the power the motor is rated to do. This is a 750W motor as Ride1Up mentions in all their specs I can find. If they said it "peaks" at 750W then you might have a point but it peaks over 800W.
      Sustained wattage isn't going to be more than the rated wattage. Some companies only mention peak power of the motor but the sustained power is always lower. You used the word "sustained" like you don't realize it's not the higher number. A 500W motor will have a continuous or sustained power of 500W. That's how it works.

      CookieMan, Your missing the point. These bikes are regulated, And will even be more regulated in the future as far as speed goes. So a motorbike is not a viable comparison.

    • @carstarsarstenstesenn
      @carstarsarstenstesenn 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@CookieManCookies That's fine but you are completely missing the point of e bikes. Motorbikes need gas, insurance, and repairs are a lot more expensive. E bikes aren't growing in popularity just for speed, it's for the accessibility and convenience

    • @vigilant_1934
      @vigilant_1934 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      But you can't ride that motor bike on a bike trail or the bike lane so what's your point? You need a license for it.
