I would be proud to have worked on the Crown vic line. Sad to see it stop production just like the big body Chevy Caprice stopped in 1996. They were 2 of the best sedans ever built.
As the owner of CVs from 1998 to 2009 models, and proud current owner of a 2003 CV LX, I thank you for this series of videos.....sad to see them go... Best cars ever built.
Proud owner of an Aspen green 2003 Ford Crown Victoria. Bought it brand new from Northside Ford in San Antonio, Texas back in October 2003. Yes, I still have it! I absolutely love this car, especially getting it in my favorite color, which coincidentally 2003 was the last year for the availability of Aspen green.
The last 3 months of production we were building 2011s and they all went overseas mainly the Middle East because they wouldn't pass the new rollover standards here.
@@garymanley507 i have read 2012 safety standards from IIHS they require all cars to have active stability braking system or something very close cant remember
Thanks for this series Gary, it's the most detailed production of these cars I've ever seen. I've owned a few Marquis produced here, and currently two Town Cars (though only one was built at Talbotville). Even got to tour the plant a few times back when Marauder was being produced!
Thanks for posting this series - I enjoyed it immensely. The Crown Vic has been my dream car for many years, finally decided it was now or never and got a 2008 ex-San Antonio cruiser in 2012. It's been a great car, especially considering its usage before I got it. I'll keep it as long as I can - there is nothing else like it anymore.
Ford Crown Victoria is the only car that made Ford outperform Chevrolet since the beginning of the new millennium !! I hope that it will be remanufactured in the future with some improvements👍🏻👌🏻
4:24 This is Saudi police interceptor not a normal one, it’s actually pretty hard to spot one because they don’t have a black grill or even a police interceptor badge on the trunk they just a have a normal crown victoria badge but you can spot them by their hubcaps, black tail lights and the two front doors are missing a panel.
I was wondering about that. The chrome trim on the back with the black truck molding is definitely something you don't see on US spec cars, and the lack of molding on the driver's side doors tells you it must be a police car, but the passenger door has the regular molding instead of the police simplified version.
Thank you for this. I would have liked to tour the plant back then but don’t even know if they allowed it. I took the plunge in 2/03 on a GM. It was my first new car in 23 years and I didn’t know what to expect. Over the years I wondered if I should have bought the Marauder instead but I couldn’t be happier with the standard GM. After 18 years and 150,000 miles the only thing I replaced is the fuel pump. Getting ready to purge the OEM brake fluid and axel lube. I was very sorry to see they ended production. Again thank you for this peek behind the curtain to see this great vehicle being assembled.
I'm proud to have this car, After 6 months of buying my police interceptor on 15 of September 2011 ford announced stop production of panther platform and rolled off the Saint Thomas line, Last crown Victoria was sent to Saudi Arabia for Aljazirah Vehicles agency.. So sad

I got broadsided on the passenger side of my crown Vic by a Ford Focus going about 30-35mph. Hit me dead center. The Vic was completely drivable after I left the scene and drove straight as an arrow even with all that damage. Got the Vic repaired and can’t even tell it was in a major accident. Still drive it to this day. What a car
They could care less what the consumer actually wants.....it's all about profit. Much less costly to brainwash the public on a new model that in turn, increases the profit column in the ledger.
This car is very famous in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and all citizens want the same, but it has become extinct. It is a very powerful and wonderful American car.😭😢😢😢🇸🇦❤️🇺🇸
Who cares if it's no longer built? When it WAS built, they made the shit out of them! There's a massive community of crown Victoria owners and enthusiasts out there! All you have to do is turn on a camera and talk about what makes them special and people will listen because according to your current videos, you were there! As far as the partner program, they've split it into two tiers now. 500+ subscribers and so many watch hours means you can attach a merchandise store to your channel, charge for membership, and get "super likes". Basically , people send you tips to encourage you to keep making videos that they like to watch. After 1,000 subscribers, TH-cam itself pays you part of what they get for running ads on your videos, even if the viewer is a premium member. It's basically like having a hobby that pays for itself. I saw your garage door video too. You could even make money on that type of video too. I'm not eligible for it yet, so I can't tell you more because I don't know much more, but you really should apply for it. They'll be able to tell you more.
As far as creative ideas, maybe you could narrate the videos you already have posted, explaining why things are done the way they're done in the factory and possibly the differences between the civilian and police versions of these cars? Because that's what most of the used market for them are now since the government was more able to maintain them than maw and paw were. That's part of what brought me here.

I think the car was too heavy for the A,B and C posts to keep the roof from collapsing. I'd rather be in. Crown Vic than any small car in an accident.
Ive read in the past the pillars/posts are weaker when they are drilled out for spotlights also. That probably applies to any vehicle im sure.
