The good old 70's, Jean Claude Duvalier was president and the country was beautiful, you could travel anywhere without any fear, Haiti was still a paradise! What the hell happened?
I remember those days as a little boy in Aux Cayes du Sud. Bernie Sagittarius you are absolutely right. Now we can't go in Haiti you will be kill for just being there. It's more than 30 years I set foot in my country Haiti. I don't think I will never go back there. the Haiti that I knew I only live in my memories with those old songs.
How can i forget these beautiful songs.I left Haiti in 1984 at age 14.I remember my neighboor servant always wash the front porsh every Sunday morning and my neighboor always left the door open and play a lot of these beautiful songs loud.I was a kid at that time but 30 years later they are favorite songs.I dont listen to these craps they play today. Thanks for posted.
Pierre Louis I left Haiti at the same year as you body, I was 23 then. Those songs reminded me when I a little kid around 68 and 76. When I yesd to go to school Aux Cayes du sud every day you can hear Difficile, Gypsies Ambassadeur. Fantaisistes de Carrefour and others.
+Serge Baron I'M only 33, in my opinion i believe Les difficiles & les gypsies was better than Tabou de petion ville. those two bands had more hits thanTabou, of course Tabou was more popular. I'M glad now more people are recognizing Eddy's master piece of art. He is a "G.M" A GRAND MASTER...I'M yet to find another guitarist like him. I also like R. Martino and Dadou, but Eddi is my favorite .
thanks Eddynesnesfor bringing me back to those great days If you can remember Difficiles a Petionville on Sunday morning Pace St Pierre and on the afternoon a Rond Point at first and Pont Morin after
