Thank you so much for watching our videos and supporting us!
#HatFilms
I like that this is basically the same dynamic of Hat Films playing a *_Trials_* map - a podcast that waits for Trott to struggle his way to the end while they periodically roast each other. _Absolutely perfect._
Trottimus Total: 145
Alsmiffy hole 1: 175
One of those episodes that make me realise I'm not watching for the gameplay
Mate i havent been watching for the gameplay since 1066, these boys are the only thing keeping me going
It must be ages ago now but there was a Hat Chat they were like if you're listening to this and playing a game at the same time isn't that basically the same as our normal videos?
You watch these videos for the *gameplay*?
I put these on in the background when I'm playing something else. I love the rambles.
@mac6 my opinion is the same without any potential traces of irony
The contrast of Trott progressing, Smith doing the same shot over and over and Ross genuinely failing over and over is glorious
That "wearing the clothes of your Granny" conversation is why I will always love Hat Films
You gotta admire the tenacity of these lads trying to finish the map over and over again despite it being so painfully obvious that none of them (except Trott, well done mate) will ever even come close to succeeding
My grandma could play better while blindfolded than the boiks
Their inability to understand the way the hole is labeled is so unbelievable…
It's almost like there's icons to show where the next hole is and they keep swinging their camera past it while going "where's the next hole?". I think Ross' dogvision is contagious.
i had a fantastic nap watching this, just slowly nodding off towards the end, cheers lads, the longer videos are great. not taking the piss, listened to the whole thing.
you throw like a dog is such a funny insult
These platform golf videos feel like classic hatfilms. Keep it up legends
Love Ross just casually taking Trott's shots while completely ignoring Trott's angry protests XD
Also the way Ross creeps in behind Trott around 39:40 really made me laugh, it was just so perfectly timed
You know, I think Trott's random outbursts of aggression towards Ross are the funniest recurring gag. It's interesting that sometimes Smith will have his own outbursts, mainly towards Trott, but Ross pretty much never engages in it to either.
There was supposedly something going to happen in Newcastle today, I asked a few passers by if they wanted to loot a greggs with me but no one was particularly interested. I went home after buying a cheese and bacon wrap just to spite Smiff.
Reminds me of homer dreaming about robbing the quick e mart
you need to ask teenage lads, they're the greggs demographic.
Smith, previously frontman of a bluegrass band, confused he is recommended country music
So, charity shop management here! Any donated clothes that do not sell within 1-2 weeks get sent on (we still get money for doing this!) and used either for foreign aid, or broken down into its materials and reused, so it is worth donating. AND in some cases (like the shop I work at) we get so many donations we DO send donations to our other branches.
But Smith is correct, a lot of people who donate do it because they can't be bothered to use their own recycling/bin and so it falls to us to sift through literal rubbish bags and try to salvage anything we can.
Brings to mind living with my parents and having the old spring clean of the wardrobe. Two bin bags, one for the bin and one for charity shop when it "makes the cut"
The editing speed of this, I swear I only heard those conversations the day before this was posted. Felt like I was having deja vu
20:00 Trott's realization HAHAHAHA
Its strange how thrifting is cool and hip, yet buying from a charity shop has connotations
Really don't understand the coward angle, how is it cowardly to want to recycle clothes in good condition
Edit: he did say it was a joke but yea as Trott eluded to seems not far from the real opinion
That opinion doesnt really exist in the Scandinavian countries, literally noone looks down upon you for buying things from a charity shop
buy 1-5 things from the charity shop: fine. buy 5+ things: poor. Jokes charity shops are good but as Alex said its concerning when all shops on the high street are charity.
@@philipromberg1963 In the UK its not that people look down on you if your buy from charity, its that people look down on the high street if its all charity.
I work in a charity shop and our clothes are only allowed to be on display for a maximum of 4 weeks. If they don't get sold within that time, they get recycled...
I also get a 75% discount so basically all my clothes come from charity shops. They're a gold-mine if you know what to look for...
@@NotRingoStarrI find them to be a bit shit these days, stuff is generally cheaper on apps like vinted. Could just be my town though.
@@kantina4765 Some are definitely better than others. My shop is the distribution centre for a few other charity shops in the area so most of the decent stuff comes through us before being redirected. We also have an ebay fulfilment centre onsite with some really nice rare items like vintage furniture, paintings etc.
The prices in big city charity shops can be brutal though...
Thrifting is a bit of a curse, the purpose of charity shops is two fold - to generate money for charities and also to supply items for people in need to be able to purchase at a lower price.
However, far too many charity shops are getting raided by individuals with plenty of money buying up all the stock for thrifting and haul videos on social media.
@@ChrisWestFF I imagine that could be a big problem in fashionable areas but I find that most of the time we have far more stock than we could ever possibly sell.
I wonder if these people return most of the clothes after filming their "Thrift Haul" videos or just throw them out?..
Trouts eyes at 20:02 when he realizes he's missed a hole xD
It's an honour and a privilege to have the boiks discuss the low moral character of the people of my home city. RIP Shoezone, we hardly knew ye.
One of my Hat Films highlights is them laughing uncontrollably at the idea of KKK members calling themselves 'Grand Wizard'.
My home city tooooo
Fellow Hullensian??
@@beth_mars that I am
@@Pear_chan Ayyy nice to meet you bud! Honestly thought I was the only one from here. Been here wayyyy too long at this point 😂
Will they ever learn the fundamental mechanic of there being an icon over the hole they're supposed to aim for?
11:35 they were just called plimsols and only ever used for PE here
At the Hershey's factory in Canada you could get cheap chocolate because they sold the busted rejects by the pound.
Chris Trott: Hole Finder
NOT SHOEZONE! I GOT MY WELLIES FROM THERE!
Trott... you just want Zeus to turn in to a shower made of gold, to bugger you!
Trott is spot on. My mum would iron EVERYTHING. Socks, underwear etc etc. These days, what's the point unless it's super creased.
SMITH! try a diffract shot, stop doing the same thing and expecting a different result, that is madness. 🤣
Warpope?!
Long may he rule!
I don't get the reference :( maybe I'm the only one
@louisglen7444 as to the warpope? Many pope's in history have commanded military forces even though as leader of the catholic church it is typically considered out of the authority of the pope, especially in modern days (although it was contested to some extent back then), to that end Chris Trott refers to his player modle as the war pope. The "long may he reign" is not a reference, just a person committed to the comedy bit
They somehow forget the "reset ball to start" button every single time, and every single time they complain that you can't reset the ball.
And every time when they are told about this button they believe it means to the start of the very beginning of the entire level
AAAnd they have a reset player to start button and somehow still get stuck on a different hole.
I have many thoughts... 😂
Firstly, Ross, just iron your shirts
😂
Secondly, wtf are daps... they're plimsolls or sanshoes 😂
Smiths complete misunderstanding of charity shops is horrendous 😂 I work in a charity shop. Have done for years! We week number everything, and it all gets rotated every 3 weeks and either recycled or sent to another store. It doesn't sit there for years, and it's the way we make millions for our causes and care that we give people. 😊
This was a great episode, lads! ❤
From the NW England and I've never heard of plimsolls be called that.
Grew up in midlands and me mam's from the North, also never heard that. They're plimsolls
"Pop their clogs" nice, didn't know English that expressions as well 😅
That 35:15 burp sounded sicky. I immediately doubled over in my chair laughing, next time avoid fizzy drinks Ross.
Loved the Podcast guys. The golf was...well...
Yay, new maps!
Papa bless the boiks playing GOLF MOUNTAIN
@1:15 say the line Smith!
Smithy definitely knows Charlie XCX from the one "I dont care" song
smith showing his upper class again
It might be a damning statement about my cognitive abilities and preferences, but I would watch hours and hours of War Pope pokemon antics.
VCD2 is coming Bois 🧹🧹
I wanna see Alan’s Daily mixes
Surely, if you wear a slightly wrinkly t-shirt the heat from your body should straighten it out? I refuse to iron anything outside of dress shirts...
not sure the logic is totally sound but im with you, using this excuse in future
If it's not enough then you just need to get even warmer!
if the surface of your skin isnt as warm as a heated iron, you're not working out hard enough!
i just fold my stuff after i get it out of the dryer, then theres never any need for ironing, them being folded for a while removes wrinkles i guess
@@raafmaatI fold mine into the smallest square I can and then compress it in my butt cheeks, is that right?
171 comments, what happened here :o
Great episode though, good energy and chats.
DAPS: Government Issue Mandatory Sport Shoe
11:30 you mean Sanny B Bobs ? That's what we called them in Scotland, shit ass school gym shoes lol
trott work at poundland lol
Smith is somehow the most unlucky golfer I have ever seen.
Can we say "unlucky" when he expends literally zero thinking power on each shot?
When I was detailing cars I had a coworker that looked like a bald buzzard, like a literal caricature from a MAD magazine turned human and he had the brain to match. He had (somehow) been with us a few months and asked the company to advance his next 2 weeks pay (we were paid every 2 weeks by default, so a 4 week paycheck total), and being a family business the owner thought he might be facing a financial hardship and approved it without asking. Buzzard Jerry came back after taking a 4 day weekend that pay period he got the advance and was bragging about how much fun he had - turns out he had asked for the 2 week advance to fund an escort service to join him on a some trip but had made just a crazy amount of charges to the card he'd given the service to keep on file for his... rendezvous. 4 weeks of pay gone in 3 days, and he had the nerve to ask the owner for another 2 week advance so he could pay rent, but by then the owner had heard the whole story and told him he could get a cash advance from one of the loan sharks across the street.
Thought this was going to be geoguessr
GOLFING KISSES?!
If Trott pretended to be Smith’s grandmother, that would be harrowing 🥲
Honestly, the talk about ironing vs steaming was super interesting.. can we have Get Ready With Me's? Clean With Us? Like content from women creators, but.. you guys
long video deserves a comment, like, bell you know
I love these
21:00 War Pope evolved into WAR GOAT
How is Smith so bad??
Some peak HAT content. I am glad Ross has that insurance.
WAR pope

So funny
why has my sub box been filled with streams from 4 months ago???
Mine too
Wonder if they were private and they've just been made public?
@@anomalousresult all I know is, I saw a vid called Trotts bday and got disappointed very quickly. I'm not a stream watcher
"christianity is the original patriarchy" is actually true. Before catholicism there were five ruling patriarchs, of which the Roman pope was one.
*Ross hits his ball purposefully under the glass wall the wrong way* Tells the map creator that they made a mistake in map design.
Well, the creator probably didn't think his map would be played by idiots. Lol.
Holy shit the Ross burp sent me over the edge... my sides hurt from laughter.
He made it specifically for Hat Films, so yes he knew.
As someone who lives in Hull, it started off fine with the protest and then the rats came out of the sewers to steal and unnecessarily cause damage
Huh.
Unfortunately, there’ll always be people who take advantage of protests and use them as an excuse to vandalise things. It also happened with BLM, Hong Kong and Palestine. It’s especially annoying as I agree with the current protests’ message
At least Greggs and Lush have recovered as of writing, but I think the Shoezone is done for
Hello there fellow Hullensian!!😊
@@Shlepp the question isn't whether it will happen, the question is what percent. for example palestine ahs been 40% max non-protests as far as I've seen, B to the L to the M was about 70, etc.
doesn't help fidning out the statistics with the media shutting down dissenters.
and who thinks a protester wants to take from greggs anyway?
I was told 'riots are the voice of the unheard' and that 'it's only property, not people's lives' during the Summer of Floyd four years ago.
What changed?
The color of the people rioting, duh
The media and police are doing exactly what people are protesting against. The bias is so blatant
What changed is people were rioting (mostly peacefully protesting, btw) to fight against oppression and injustice, instead of fighting for more oppression lmao
@@pifegpeople now are protesting against police bias, grooming gangs, human trafficking, SA against little girls and a bigoted culture that attacks outsiders (just look at Birmingham). You can dislike the people protesting, but don’t lie about their message
I lived in the Louisville area during that time.
There were no riots.
My brothers partner is from Bowling Green, ky - there was no 'massacre.'
Our conservative news media will absolutely make things up for their narratives.
To the point that the legal defense for Fox News is 'we're entertainment, no sensible person would believe this.'
Catholic ( early christian) theology: catches on for being anti superstitious. 2000 years later: random people who only see misnomer representations mock it superstitiously
is spread because of overt threats, not because it was good at anything.
cry
My god, this game is sooooooooooo shit lmao
I love when you guys shit on religion but have no idea what religious beliefs you’re shitting on. I also love how you wouldn’t dare shit on Muslims. Because. Well. Ya know.
I found the salt 😂 pretty sure islam is included in their crititicism
@@Thetruepianoman Not once have they openly criticized islam like they do Christianity, and we all know why.
I shit on religions equally, because in the end I'd rather people behave morally because that's just the right thing to do, and not because some old pedophile wrote a book telling them to behave morally. (Which they then ignore and twist around anyway).
Triggerd much?
@@antaLord Yes, you are.
I agree Trout. Spotify's algorithm *does*
