    Always such a delight to catch up with you! I love to stitch all the holidays, but Halloween is my favorite! Size doesn’t really matter to me, but small ones light a fire in me to do more and more stitching because they’re so quick and satisfying!

    Always enjoy watching. I learned how to stitch my senior year in high school while working with a work/school program by a coworker in our local school board office. Stopped stitching in early 90's, with children and work didn't have much time. Picked it back up a little about 10 years ago but the passed couple of years have been stitching a lot more, mainly monogamous, may have 2 or 3 going at a time. Usually 1 big project and a couple smaller ones. I enjoy stitching anything with hens or farm life. I am currently working on This is the Day by Plumstreet. I started watching flosstube about 6 months ago and I have been hooked. Love seeing all the patterns and ideas.

It reminds me a lot of my mom's experiences and I'm so glad that both you and her are back at it and enjoying it. I think stitching only a few things at a time is very wise and I'm looking forward to trimming my WIPS down a bit. 😊 Thanks for stopping by and for commenting!

    thanks that was fun! The 32 count decision about one thread or two is always tricky... probably two is "standard" for 32, but sometimes a "lacy" look is what you want. 36 is definitely better at one. And some color threads seem too fat to do 2 on 32... while other colors fit very nicely. If you like the finished size you get with a 32 count project... might I suggest 16 count aida? I can even easily do two threads on 18 count aida... the structure just lends itself better to "fatter" threads. I've tried almost everything over the last year, and for ease of stitching, and manageable size results, I'm really liking 18 aida. best wishes, and hoping your book launch next year goes well!

    Hi Joanne, I am a fairly new stitcher and was thinking of stitching Nettle. Would you be able to tell me what you found challenging about stitching her? I am trying to determine if this particular chart is above my skill level. Thank you!

      @Joanne_TheStoryStitcher  āļŦāļĨāļēāļĒāđ€āļ”āļ·āļāļ™āļāđˆāļāļ™ +1

      Great question. She's actually a lot of fun to work on and the stitching isn't very hard. What I found challenging were a few things. One was doing her on 36 count as I can only do that well if I use a magnifying light and mine happens to be kind of uncomfortable. The second is that I was trying to finish her in the month of October so it was just a lot of little stitches over and over and I was losing the fun of it. But I'd say if you allow yourself a slightly larger fabric size and to not put too much pressure on yourself, she is actually quite fun. I hope that answers you!

      Aida is something I enjoy as well and my mom also loves it. If you have a chance to watch my video "Yard sale haul with mom" I think you might get some inspiration with the smalls she's chosen and the methods she uses as she also struggles with her eyesight. I hope it helps and brings you a smile.
