what about sizing between Merrels and the Selvatica? I wear 9 on Merrels

I have these. Worn for relatively light dail wear.
The material of the outsole is not good for tarmac... grippy - but wears out very quickly. I see your 'worn' pair has the same problem (mine are worn at the heel) with the hollow 'lugs' wearing through.
Really comfy - and keep me dry... just disappointingly not hard-wearing.

Great review, I appreciate the length you went to show the features of the boot and also the year old pair for comparison.
In particular, the silent walk confirmation was very helpful.
Are you able to advise if you tested the grip on slippery wet surfaces? Specifically wet boots on polished concrete, tiles or wooden flooring?
I’m currently using Salomons which are terrible on wet surfaces

I think AKU Selvatica is not waterproof well. The thumb position of my sock is wet on rainy days. Do you have this situation

The gortex stops around the enkels. Best to get a pants thats fits over the boots till that area. So water will not get in the shoe.
