Nostalgic memories of childhood when we used to travel to Mangalore in Canara Pinto. These buses are high end versions...the ones we travelled were normal buses with Video Coaches....
Nice vlog 👌, Beautiful journey 👍, I was returning from Jogfalls to Dharwad my home town via yellapur, met this same bus CPT in yellapur around 1 am and started chasing in yellapur- KALAGHATGI stretch he was too aggressive and always in opposite lane to overtake , I over took him once but couldn't maintained he was always behind with big continuously flashing so had to give up 😀, keep vlogging, have safe journey 👍👍
The CPT starz is the best bus between Mumbai and Mangalore. And the green 966 is generally faster than the blue 967. You are lucky to get this one, well done!
@@Ash2travel Nowadays to avoid the covid checks, they take a detour after Kolhapur, via Boragaon, Chikody and meets the main highway after Sankeshwar at Gotur. This extends the journey by another hour at least. Very often, instead of taking a right at Hubli, they take a right at Jogyellapur which is a short cut to Kalghatki. That road is narrow, goes through villages and full of spead-breakers. But your bus didn't take this route. Looks like you didn't get much sleep till after breakfast. The mornings shots looked awesome!
Actually no avoiding tht Covid chks now. The buses were caught which took tht route. All Mangalore buses mostly go by Kalghatgi Yellapur and then take tht detour shortcut
I am regular traveller with CPT for decades. The best bus service provider to Mumbai-Mangalore 👍 for sure. But only negative thing is 20min time for dinner is not sufficient for normal human being. If you travelling along with family / kids / aged members its difficult to tackle with CPT driver & pick-up man!!!
Nah, CPT.stops.too.less and also don't stop for morning breakfast or washroom.. it's difficult for old age people, hence I prefer ksrtc which always have breakfast and maintain speed. dowside it's only semi sleeper bus..

Just observed that this bus went upto karwar Road toll at hubli dharwad bypass and joined the hubli karwar highway. Why did it avoid the dharwad kalghatagi road.

I wish I had seen this earlier. I wasn’t aware of the pathetic road from Kumta to Yellapur. It was the the worst leg of my otherwise excellent drive from Kumta to Mumbai during Christmas vacation.
In 1980 we took 24 hour to travel from sion to udupi 1 morning &2 eveing service Morning service 12.00 at natraj hotelpune for lunch 4.00 at kholapur for tea 9.30 ramdev belgaum for dinner 7.00 morning udupi Evening start 9.00 night at natraj pune dinner 7.30 morning ramdev belgaum for tea 1.00 for lunch sai sangam bhatkal 4.00 udupi
Yes, there was buses then like Gadge Patel, Metro Link, Manish Travels, Blueline many more. At Honavar buses would go on Boat as there was no bridge bulit at that time.
In my personal opinion the older B9R and B11R were better looking and interiors were wow(Volvo built).MG needs to improve interior build still looks like late 90's early 2000 build.

Traveled by both these buses. Feel the MG Starz is a wee bit slow than the normal Volvo buses at bad roads.
