Lol. I thought I was the only one that had little fine files like that. I used to use them also as an Electrical Engineer in the old days and now I use them for my points as well.
It has been a cold wet day here in the UK, just right for a full length feature. As a Brit, I must ask if you take tea during a long stint? I start with a well brewed Assam, full cream milk, no sugar, thereafter a Yorkshire tea every 45 to 55 minutes, with a plain digestive biscuit, in order to maintain peak performance. Thanks again for your efforts.
Good video, BUT sometimes it's painful to watch. Timing ,Static type, is very simple. I use a cigarette paper with a light oil on the paper to make it slide out without tearing the paper as I pull lightly while turning the eccentric to set timing statically. Strobe timing is best if you have an assistant.
One of your best Frank! You won’t agree though. You did need to master the video changes on the new iPhone 16 , though 😮
Your videos are great Frank, the audio was so so, especially considering the new equipment. Work in progress.
I have owned my 1970 commando S since 1977. Still using points. Thinking about
installing power-arc ignition.
Keep the shiny side up.
Enjoying the long video. May be my phone but I have it full volume to hear you.👍

Hi could you have assembled the advanced unit 180 deg. Out ?
If the bike won't start, swop out the black and yellow and the black and white wires

What is this cigarette paper thing you speak of? (Humor.)
