  • Well, we're finally here. After months of piecing together a strange story, we've reached the final moments of our End Times video series. This is a long one and wraps up a lot of content in one. As I've said in this video, thank you so much if you've watched. Whether you've been with me for all the way or not, it means a lot to spend even a moment of your time here. Also, I'm ready, you can rip me to shreds in the comments now.

    Wow, what an end. Louen is gone, Karl is gone, Vlad is gone. But Archaon is gone along with the winds of magic and the influence of Chaos. A pyrrhic victory, but Order can rebuild and united can defeat the Skaven and Greenskins who took advantage of the war against Chaos to seize territory from the other races. Broken but alive, Order still stands. And forever united, order and peace can be restored to the world.
    So many cool and amazing moments in this one, Zhao Ming the flying tank dragon, Gotrek and Durthu slaying Kholek, Grombrindal and Malekith's stand, all of it was just so awesome. Easily the best video in the series, and fitting for the finale of the series as well.
    What an amazing series, and one I'm glad to be able to see right to the end.
    I do wonder, would the Lizardmen return now that Chaos is forever gone, or Lustria open and up for grabs now?

    • @cryptghoul8408

      Potentially, but I'd say they're probably happier somewhere else, and there could always be remnants left behind. Thank you for watching by the way

  • @SMT-ks8yp

    That kind of next-Warhammer is a good alternative to AoS! Another one might be the planet falling apart because of the moon crashed into it and continuing to exist as patches of reality floating in Chaos and held together by whatever protection was there, be it lizardmen geomantic network, elven waystones, cathayan bastions, etc.
    Honestly, I skipped some of your videos and lost track of some events. But I certainly remember what you did with Louen and his son, and that's great. Changeling dying randomly... that's a certified greenskin moment. The gangup on Kholek is also great.
    Finally, I always felt like Gelt and the wind of Chamon are underrated and misunderstood, especially in the part of canon End Times where Gelt becomes a necromancer for some reason. Chamon is about intelligence and mastery of material world. It allows to cure madness and conjure anything "simple" out of nowhere, albeit temporarily. And when Gelt was once sent by Karl Franz to settle an infighting, he arrived at one of the bickering nobles' castle and secretly turned all his treasury into lead. His entire army then left because they thought that the opposite happened, and the gold they have been promised was transmutated lead all along (all Chamon transmutations are temporary... unlike the ones done with the other winds). That's what Gelt can do. He's well beyond being very good at turning people into metal. Your gun dragon is cool and fancy indeed and much better than the whole necromancy plot, there is this flair of inventiveness around him. But it's... uninventive inventiveness to an extent. Take a dragon, slap armor and weapons on him, go fight. It worked, sure, but why guns??? Also how they were reloaded? Magic? Then why not just fling bullets directly with magic like Chamon already allows?

    • @cryptghoul8408
      @cryptghoul8408  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I get that with the gun dragon, I imagined it more as Gelt on the back doing his usual blasting, turning people to metal, etc, and it was his magic that kept the dragon armed and armoured, while his mates the dwarfs used the guns

    I really loved this series! This felt so much more properly planned out than the original. Skarsnik doesn't get forgotten about halfway through, Mannfred pulling double uno-reverse cards, no weird alliances, and it feels like an actual tug of war where all sides are pushing their limits trying to win. I think my only issues are Ogre Kingdoms getting the same treatment from the original, some characters getting skimmed over (though that's understandable with how many there are), and I was kind of hoping for the world to still ultimately end. But all around great job!
    So, are the Lizardmen just floating around in space now?

    • @cryptghoul8408
      @cryptghoul8408  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you! I get the feeling with the Ogre Kingdoms. I just couldn't find the space for them in the rewrite really, and yes our lizard friends are still out there looking for a new home. Perhaps they'll find it, or perhaps someone will be able to get in touch with them to call them home.

    Loved the series. I got into warhammer cuz of total war so i missed out on the greatness and messiness of the old world and the end times. Honestly love the ending where setting survives but in a low fantasy way, thats honestly more in tune to the spirit of the setting where there is only war instead of a constanr cycle where chaos wins regardless.

    There were a couple little things i kind of missed from the original, but for the most part, that was pretty fun.
    I know it technically wasn't needed at this point, but having no tomb kings characters besides Arkhan left for the final battle is kind of a shame, especially seeing as Setra's legendary feet was given to Durthu and Gotrek, and the whole Nepherata and Khalida stuff ended a bit earlier in this rewrite.

  • @silentecho92able

    Considering how this ended im pretty sure the lizardmen in space would be able to comeback to the planet they would feel that Chaos has been defeated and its influence has decreased. Probably, some of them under the orders from lord Kroak doubled back and reestablished themselves in Lustria after carpet bombing the living hell out of the Skaven and fixing the moon. Upon returning the Lizardmen aren't the Lizardmen that we know of as many of them have become Seraphon from AOS or at least halfway there. As they have somewhat evolve despite there short time in space. These pseudo-Seraphon are far more superior and out right cleaned house in Lustria by wiping out large Skaven armies easily.
    The difference i can give about the Lizardmen aside from physical changes, is they see themselves a much more superior race then those around them. These new Lizards see all other races as not part of the Great Plan, as they understood the plans true meaning ever since they have ascended. Though they are still somewhat part of the ordertide they want to be the only order faction around.
    This way we can add some complexity with the Lizards in the new world. Personally it would be interesting if something like this would happen in order to bring the Lizards back into the setting in a post End Times world.

    • @cryptghoul8408
      @cryptghoul8408  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think that's a perfect way to bring them back. Then you could also have the tension between new Ordertide and lizards over them abandoning the world

      @@cryptghoul8408 Dude you should make at least 2 videos talking about each major faction one vid for Good guys, and one for Bad guys and where they stand in the post End times world. It does not have to be completely detailed, just what they are doing say 10 years after Endtimes. Whos leading each faction and how they are rebuilding.
      An if they are currently facing at least difficulty in the current situation they find themselves in, like is Grombrindal leading a expedition to reclaim Karaz-a-Karak, or who the Emperor of the Empire? Does Balthasar Gelt lead the Empire as regent and he delves into dark magic in order to bring Karl Franz back to the land of the living? Though this can be a topic for another day.

      The one problem is that, canonically, the Great Plan was actually to create the Ordertide and send it to delete Chaos. So, if anything, the Great Plan had succeeded, at least partially.

    • @silentecho92able
      @silentecho92able 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@SMT-ks8yp That is true but what if the Slann re-interpret the meaning of the Great plan.
      You see the Lizardmen will look at the other races a susceptible to Chaos corruption or simply just chaotic in general.
      Obviously this applies to the Beastmen, Skaven & Greenskins as one is serving the version of a chaos god the Horned Rat, while another is just a destructive force in general so seeing them be destroyed is necessary. An another is just a spawn of Chaos in general.
      While the other Ordertide races on the other hand the Lizards. Would see them as susceptible to Chaos influence, nuisance or a danger. Dwarfs, elves, human, Undead etc. Have all ventured into Lustria stealing sacred artifacts. Human most of all are highly likely to fall too Chaos considering Archaon was a normal human who fell and led the forces of Chaos in the Endtime, including many humans who gave both body and soul to Chaos.
      I guess we can argue that the Lizardmen will just see all this and be like "Better safe then sorry an wipe the board clean so no Endtime 2.0".
