If my mannerisms and speech are wacky this video it's because I was aiming for a specific aesthetic and also to pad runtime. I'll admit it bro, I be a little greedy, you gotta do what you gotta do you know. It was MAINLY for the aesthetic vibe though.
Very keen observations! I initially linked Aura to only Lord Jawbus and Kuudra's flaming golems due to them all being in the same island and their bestiary entries but you changed my perspective!
*_Really_* enjoyed this, you have a talent for this sort of storytelling! Personal speculation though: surely the Precursors must have some sort of ability to manipulate their size, or otherwise varied in size? The Lost Precursor City clearly isn't built with giants in mind. I suppose it is possible that the Precursors themselves never actually went to the Crystal Hollows themselves and only sent the Automatons there to work on the Automaton Prime, but that also seems unlikely given the presence of the bookshelves and other amenities the Automatons assumedly would not need.
I believe that the Precursors primary thrived/came to be from specifically the Crystal Hollows in the first place, due to the presence of sapphire. The Precursors would need a high level of intelligence to create the machines that they did, and so it could be that this intelligence came from harnessing the power of sapphire. Sapphire is also likely key to creating Automatons, shown from it being in the Automaton drop pool but also shown from the sapphire crystal being the key to creating the Automaton Prime. Aswell as using the Crystal, Automaton Prime's along with the other Automaton's purpose is to protect the sapphire crystal, as it likely might have been the key to the Precursor's powers/technologies. Edit: In Professor Robot's dialogue it is proved that Precursors definetly did inhabit the cities, and it is implied the Automatons were left behind to guard the sapphire.
If we are basing stuff on the architecture, I would say it is more likely that Sadan's giants were modified to be that big, or are some sort of exception, as the precursor structures in the crystal hollows and in Aura's lab are all clearly built for normal sized people. I will however say that in the dungeon hub, the scale of the structure in the precursor remnants is a lot larger. Due to it's proximity, I am lead to believe Sadan got the giant's from this area, possibly only assuming they are actually precursors because they were in a precursor structure, although I do still think the giants specifically are precursors. As for the precursor eye, I think this is more so an example of how advanced precursor technology was, as we can see the precursors created similar technologies when creating the automatons. Also, I think it is very likely that Julian is from the mage faction on the crimson isles based off of Mazakala's (one of the Taika NPC's who was talking about the rift) dialogue: "That doesn't mean we should ignore it, *someone* needs to..." This dialogue gets cut off, but I believe at this point they were planning on sending Julian into the rift.
Everything is presented well in the video, and edits are amazing! However, I feel like it makes sense if the Precursor Eye is more of an invention the Precursors made rather an actual part of their body. It seems a bit far-fetched that they would have something as insane as laser eyes. If we're assuming they were all giants, then maybe it would make sense for them to have a way to insert it into their eyes to grant them the ability to shoot lasers. If they were player-sized this may have also been true and Sadan changing the size of the corpses also changed the size of the items they were wearing, including the Precursor Eye. Furthermore, Automatons also shoot lasers out of their eyes and it would make sense that the Precursors created the laser eyes themselves and had applied them to the Automatons, rather than studying their own anatomy to find a way to apply their abilities to the creations.
If there IS any precursor with laser eyes, it would definetly by L.A.S.R. It is the only giant (aside from Sadan's analgamtion) that shoots lasers, and L.A.S.R. eyes being a specifically unique precursor relic prove that they are more of an exception rather than an innate ability of every precursor. Something I find a bit overlooked is how precursor relics are actually key in harnessing the true power of wither gear. Although you could end the discussion at "Precursor relics frag wither armour for gameplay purposes.", I believe its more interesting to think that while creating their respective gear, the wither lords utilized precursor technology. Furthermore, I think it is possible when creating the wither skeleton factory, Precursor technology could have been used, as from the ending reward chest Precursor Gears can be found (Why else would gears be found in a factory?). The dungeon hub gives a clear explanation as to where those from the Catacombs might have found these technologies, but everything I'm saying here is basically just speculation.
What about the hub Castle Ruins ? It has similar block pallets to the three major Precursor buildings, and since it’s above ground, the architecture style would be different anyway, but even then, it’s still pretty similar. Diorite, smooth stone, and stone bricks are all found in the Castle. I have no reason to suspect that it’s the precursor’s other than by the architecture, which, again, would be different on land than under it, but these people would need somewhere to go if they weren’t actually living underground, just using the Automatons for a mining space.
I thought about it but the hub castle is discussed a lot in the dungeon journals as being inhabited by humans and stuff like that, and because it's so documented as being a human inhabited location I would assume that they are the ones who built it. The main thing that it didn't have that the three locations I mentioned DO have are iron golem heads and the dark oak chairs. I suppose it is possible that the precursors made a castle and then when they left the humans inhabited it, there just isn't enough evidence to support that as a theory. It's a cool one though.
"catacombs" refer to underground tombs, so maybe the precursors invented a way to revive the dead and went to the catacombs to do so, but as they revived the dead people there, maybe there were witches or something happened to them and they became the guardians (bosses) of the catacombs. and oruo is like a robot they made that has all the knowledge (like ai which kinda makes sense)
the catacombs are meant as the resting place for all victims of the calamity in the lore, which is after the time period at least in my theories for the precursors (regardless I think it’s safe to say that Kaeman was the source of the catacomb’s inhabitants reviving considering he has canonical feats of doing the exact same thing)
Some parts of this are very clever, however i dont believe that all of these theriories make sense. First is the one about sadans giants, we aknowledge that sadan can change their appearance, however not that their size could be altered. This seems to be the case as many precursor locations are built with rooms which fit the character. Additionally, if they were giants, they would want to make giant defences, not just those automatons. The automatons having laser eyes also seems to maybe debunk the theory on precursors having laser eyes since the eye could simply be attributed to the precursors technological creation of laser eyes. Even the fact that not all of sadans giants have laser eyes I believe proves that precursors just created laser eyes. I also want to build on the theory about the mages. Since we think that the rift in the hub is caused by the precursors and there are mages in Scarleton whom discuss the rift, perhaps they have a connection, especially since the precursors may return via the rift and mages have had some success in utilising the rift.
those issues are inherent with the design of precursor’s environment, assuming they are issues at all. If it doesn’t seem to be a problem with the lore in the admin’s mind when designing the builds for the precursors (as well as mentions of them supposedly being giants) then I don’t really see a reason to think that this build limitation is a flaw with the theories
I’m probably the one at fault for making people think Oruo isn’t a precursor, that thought process of mine has been revised after thinking about it more quote from what I said on the thread about it , “something occurred to me as I’m reading this post in the typical manner that the rift works, anyone who enters the rift through the breach remains stuck inside however… Julian suggests that Oruo was able to both enter and exit the rift, which should be impossible before the wizard portal was made but of course oruo has been trapped in the catacombs, so he CANT enter or exit the rift through the wizard portal I dismissed Oruo being a precursor, but after this admittedly kinda obvious discovery I think it’s back on the table (since the only other method to leave and enter the rift is the Seeing Stone which Kaeman controlled, and before that it would be in the hands of the precursors (read my latest lore thread for more info on that), or maybe Oruo ventured into the catacombs to get to the seeing stone and got locked in their by Kaeman when he returned?), I’ll mention this in my lore thread since I think it’s worthy to write down for future purposes”
oh yeah it’s also completely possible the blessing of time is strong enough that it allowed oruo to travel directly to the mountaintop and leave that way, since people who enter the breach typically can’t leave because the distortion creates such a large distance that it is physically impossible to travel to the mountaintop, kinda like a super massive black hole’s time dilation
Something interesting of note - in Ouro's dialogue he says "I have lived many lives. I have learned all there is to know." We know very little about Ouro, but I think it's totally possible one of these "many lives" was as a Precursor. Talking a bit more about Ouro's dialogue, in dungeons itself his name IS actually in dark red, but to be honest I don't think this means a whole lot, because there is plenty of colour inconsistencies throughout all of Skyblock.
I wish I went more into this into the video, but I assume a lot of precursor stuff might have been dedicated to the automatons, as there were most certainly more variants of automaton than just the iron golems we see. The automaton prime is in the city, so it's possible there were other automaton primes and other automaton variants that inhabited the cities.
It s these types of videos that makes me love skyblock even more as you discover there is way more than "just" builds and some impressive coding. The actual story of skyblock is much more complex and is quite passionating. We can expect great things in the future. Amazing job on the montage too, gg !
what if precursors have been in our sign the whole time? what if its someone or something we've seen? maybe in rift? well, Julian probably entered through the real entrance and not the portal which explains why hes out yet and stays in the oubluitte. when mountaintop is released i predict that Julian will have his own individual quest where we are given more information about the precursors and help julian get out of rift.
new mountaintop teaser might confirm this idea now that the requirements scrolls randomly between a few things, one of the is infinite time and another is the end of time
Man if this is accurate then I really hope we get a Dante-style server wide boss fight in the hub, maybe the precursors would have a fight in the rift but then have a scripted win, then a fight in the hub. Maybe afterwards the rift could be ruined for awhile like the hub after the Dante fight.
Because of bacte in the rift I think it’s possible that there are alternate versions of Dante, but I doubt the admins will ever reuse his character in any significant way.

big and greedy ahh video
So they are basicly kryptonians who cant fly
Legends say that the entire lore will be revealed in 3-5 business days 👀

love your videos haxr
you need more views and subs your animated videos are just the best. Top 3 best skyblock youtuber.

VERY funny that we had the same observations completely independently at the same time.

No bro the castle in the hub was used a center for magic for the mage faction when Jythar and his army attacked and the jythar created the breach.
Bro has a vid better than 99% of sb creators and still somehow has only 1k views, mad underrated

The beautiful visuals and the storytelling is enough to make me happy that you drew it out to 8 minutes, ondrae content for us
Very underrated! well put together. Most people often don't care about skyblock's lore but it sure is interesting.
I wonder why the precursor city is just like
not fit for giants

The portal in unincorporated is similar to their builds also pretty sure there’s 2 giants one on each side so that might be connected
looove your style

Imagine 1.0 launch being the precursers coming to the world
Honestly underrated and well written.
edits go insane
imagine that precursor DLC tho new gear maybe a new MF grind or smthing, new questline and bosses. I'd start playing the game again ngl
Finally i have been waiting for this! W video
lets go skyblock lore
This video gave me the motivation to wait for the updates
I theorize that for mountain top when it releases we would need blessing of time that Julian mentioned to attain infinite time
wait ur right
new mountaintop teaser might confirm this idea
now that the requirements scrolls randomly between a few things, one of the is infinite time and another is the end of time
Man if this is accurate then I really hope we get a Dante-style server wide boss fight in the hub, maybe the precursors would have a fight in the rift but then have a scripted win, then a fight in the hub. Maybe afterwards the rift could be ruined for awhile like the hub after the Dante fight.
they went to the mountain top and we will meet them when the 8th time charm releases-> my guess
same
This is so exciting
chat is this real ahmadting
Finally a lore vid I can watch.
Do I hear Lemmino's music in the background?
Precursors eye is... An eye so there is no reason to not be specific to one precursor + city was build for 2-3 blocks high people not giant
will dante have a comback????
Because of bacte in the rift I think it’s possible that there are alternate versions of Dante, but I doubt the admins will ever reuse his character in any significant way.
Another sb lore video🎉🎉🎉
