You can tell that the painter in the 1st video is a pro just by how he is tapping the brush on the side of the bucket. He's been doing that for a very long time. His hands are so steady that takes at least a couple of years to know how to load a brush properly. The hands being as steady as they were isn't something you can teach you either have it or you don't!!!!

As a painter of 30 years I can fully respect those cut in skills. I took third place at the Sherwin Williams local, “Pro Show” competition here in Southern Oregon. It takes years of practice to get that skilled. Hopefully you’re working behind a great drywall person too.

I've enjoyed these videos for quite a while now. But I'm noticing that more and more of them don't stay running long enough to see what it's turning into, or what the point of the action was. Like at 1:59, I didn't see the point (or the skill) in drilling so many bore holes then tapping them out.

I am a trade qualified Painter and the one in this video would never make it if he was this slow doing his job, it shouldn't take more than about three minutes to cut in half way down the walls as well as to the ceiling in a normal sized room, the person doing the cutting in to the lower walls and skirting also rolls the walls and keeps up with the person cutting into the ceiling.
Sad to see such slow workers these days let alone the quality of workmanship has dropped so far that none of them could pass the quality test we used to have back in the day for Commision homes or all Government work

14:15 Car body builder from CZ: In Europe (everywhere i guess), those can be also sometimes a new original skeletons or it's parts. And having it just surface corroded is fine. All you have to do is to grind it all somehow. But he does it that way, so i wonder how will he make sure to make it dry in time now because it's just a raw metal. I don't know what will this "specialist" do after it got all wet, but i guess he has another idea. I personally have none, but there could be something. The water could be either destilated to make sure it's not an electrolite or he put some kind of magic coat onto it. Maybe he put some zink layer on it later, but that makes the risk of the underneath corrosion and maybe a bubbles anyways. If there's any fellow general mechanic and you know what is he doing, please tell me. I'm curious a lot.

As a farmer, I have been using a weed destoryer for more years than I should have, 5:53, but I never got paid enough to do what that man did. I hope he did, unless it's his own property and since it's inside the city then, he must do a better job than what I need to do on the fields on the mountains, that I clean, that only a handful of people are going to see. That being said, I go for a clean cut, for the dirt to be clearly seen, and not just trim the grass, which is why I broke my car's window once or end up with one or two bruises every once in a long while, even while wearing protective gear.

@4:15 No he isn't, that's just come out of a chemical bath for rust removal & he's cleaning all the toxic chemicals off it, you really do need better researchers.

I think you meant @ 14:15 but otherwise you’re not wrong. Part of me feels like the guy speaking is just making stuff up or taking an educated guess. I don’t think he really knows anything about the original clips. Majority of his commentary sounds like “filler” to me, but what do I know? 🤷🏻‍♂️

I love and hate cutting in, never used tape I'm just a diy'er. A good natural bristle brush, new paint & damp rag make a big difference.
