Today I go hands on with the Sternglas 38mm Automatic NAOS.
This watch is 38mm in diameter by 43mm Lug to Lug making it a great all-around size for anyone looking to purchase their first Bauhaus watch.

Main argument why this watch is probably the next one I’ll buy is bauhaus design. Taking that into consideration, what is your opinion, automatic or quartz version?

I’m a fan of mechanical watches so I think the automatic is more desirable especially since you also have the see through caseback.

If it's your daily watch get the automatic, if it's just one of ten and it only is worn once per month get the quartz. This is because you don't want to be constantly resetting the time. I would use this as a daily watch and get the auto but I don't know your situation

Good review. I havent worn a watch for decades and recently saw the nomos and loved it. But, what if I decide I don’t want to wear watches after all? So, a less pricy substitute seems smart, and I do like the looks. I saw one for 269 that looks like this. Was it a non-automatic version?

It's not a simple watch, but a watch with minimalistic design. At this price you don't find often mechanical watches with sapphire glass

⁠@@coldpizzawatchreviews You mean the Naos Pro? That is a much better watch but proportionally likewise too expensive for what you get. This is no match for something like a Hamilton or Tissot in the same price range, neither from a technical nor from a prestige standpoint.
