Any tips for slim hourglasses? I don’t have a particularly large bust or hips but like you said, it’s the ratio, and I have a very very small waist. I find the fashion industry tends to think hourglass = plus size or stretchy fabric, which simply isn’t true.
Seconding this. I'm typed as an hourglass, but this always confused me because I'm slender with a long torso, so I'm no Kim K or Sofia Vergara. I also have hip dips so stretchy fabric doesn't work for me. All of the advice in this video still applies - the wrap dress, the bodycon, fit and flare 👌🏻
Ugh. Same. I’m 5ft tall, skinny (31, 26, 31). Its so hard to find clothes that actually fit me because petite size clothes seem to always be designed for kate moss body types.
Actually the traditional meaning of the term hourglass has always referred to a woman with distinct curves in her figure and just as she described in the video, a distinct waist that is smaller than chest and hips. Then, several years ago the term "curvy" started being applied to plus sized ladies as a more positive descriptor for their body size, but it is not an accurate descriptor of body type. Whether a person is a size 2 or a size 22, the foundational body structure does not change. So, if a person has more of a straight up and down body type, then when gaining weight that person doesn't suddenly become an hourglass because that's a completely different body type. They might, for example have a more boxy look with weight gain but they don't suddenly become an hourglass because that's a completely different structure that they were not born with. The opposite is also true. A perfect example is Halle Berry who is not plus size but but she does have a curvy hourglass figure. I've noticed in the last couple of years people seem to be getting back to the more traditional and accurate use of what is considered an hourglass figure.
I have a tip for finding best jeans: I always buy only high waisted, strethy jeans with a slim fit. Only style that I look nice in, without any tailoring. When I find jeans that fit my butt nicely, then the slim cut molds to my curves and jeans with stretch give me no problems.
Thank you! That’s very helpful for me because I am just starting to buy my own clothing and most of the jeans I have from when I was a teenager are very poorly constructed and just flatten out my bottom and look terrible. Always looking for good brands now.
I personally am 5’3 hourglass and I very much love the jumpsuits. So comfortable and you as an hourglass can do so much with them. I always get more compliments in a jumpsuit than I ever thought I would. Try it. You may love ❤️ it.
Yes, the Babydoll dress! I went wedding guest dress shopping with a gf. Tried it on, and felt I looked pregnant. Friend glared at me "no you don't" Grabbed the dress anyway, was on sale for $10. Tried it for the bf, instantly "No. Everyone going to think you're pregnant at the wedding" 😂
uhmmm...as an hourglass I find myself constantly on the edge when around other women and try to downplay my figure as much as possible. It has definitely been the spark of envy with previous friends, not saying that is your case, just leaving this in case :)
OMG, at 5'3 & realizing I'm an hour glass...finding pants that fit my butt & waist has always been a struggle... I was always modest & have found love in jumpsuits...Now I know why. I look prego in the big comfy clothing, lol. So helpful, to know what I'm doing well & what I need to delete from my closet.
I always thought I was a pear but I'm definitely an hour glass because everything you described always looks best on me. I'm so surprised thx for the info 👏
As an hourglass (42"-30"-42", 32FF UK) I've been loving the NYDJ Marilyn jeans. They have adequate stretch and structure. I've found that materials that are cheap in quality just don't hang right on my body and that paying a bit more is much more worth it in the end.
FINALLY!!! I can't thank you enough for these tips! This is the best thing I've found to date with all around accurate AND helpful information. Thank you, thank you, thank you ☺️
Lots of the advise is for full chested ladies, I personally have always been small in that area (33), but still have 36 shoulders and hips and a 27 waist. (Waist larger than it used to be as I'm 59; as you get older the body seems desperate to do away with that lovely -hip waist ratio!). I wear mostly fit and flare dresses.
I’ve found hi rise skinny jeans look best on me. I roll my bottoms up. My problem with jeans is it usually almost always shows my crack lol so I can only do hirise. Great tips!!! Also I feel like my top is small. I’m a 34 d with a tiny waist, hips are are 10. I’m 5”6 155 pounds.
I kinda disagrees on shoulders should match the hips, if you workout the shoulder will be broader, an inverted triangle does not have hips, an hourglass have almost equal bust and hips with smaller waist ( mine has an average difference of 10 inches ( 36.5 bust 27 waist 37.5 hips) the curves shows from the side view too, a wide shoulders with flat chest doesn't create an hourglass look from the side
Ppl say that my head looks smaller compared to my body but after watching ur videos i realized that I am an hourglass shape and wearing baggy clothes makes me look wider in comparison to how I actually am and I love ur talking style. Very soothing 😊❤️
The guidelines are very helpful. It is difficult to find anything even in petite sizing or just something fitted to the shape so the video was very enlightening (I'm a petite hourglass...4'9" height and 23" waist, 33" shoulder and hip).Your videos are the most helpful thing I've come across so far in terms of styling so thank you so much. I know what to look for now. You're officially my savior 🤗 I wonder if size charts include extra-petite 😂
Hi Chi! I read somewhere that an hourglass figured woman could also have small breasts--as long as the shoulders and hips are proportionate. Thanks for all the information--I've also struggled with certain types of clothing. Now I have a better understanding of what to wear.
*You are so insightful, delightful and informative! I am not petite, at 5’7” so I Truly appreciate your more universal videos! I’m so Very glad to have found you, Thank you so much! Subscribed and Loving it!* 💕🤍💕
So true.. it is so difficult to find something that fits me as a petite hourglass. Mostly Italian brands.. or I just got to my tailor and make something exactly on my body. Very expensive, though..
thank you so much for this! i've been watching your videos for the past few days before i started shopping for clothes and it's helped me out significantly. i always used to get tops that covered everything but my neck and felt so heavy and my chest looked even bigger than it is. after getting clothes with lower necklines, i genuinely feel a lot more confident!
I've just subscribed to your channel and have binge watching your videos. The weird part is that I'm 176cm tall so very far from petite 😳 but I am finding very valuable information in every video
Hi Chi, Thank you, now I am sure that I am hourglass type. The babydoll advice was the most game changing for me! Before I thought that I look OK in this type of dress but I was frequently asked if I was pregnant:) I thought that something is wrong with my belly but now I know that I was OK - it is just a matter of dress type;)
oh man.....after watching this I realized I've been dressing the exact opposite of what is recommended. I'm 5', always wear high neck tops or boxy tops and skinny jeans. it just fits with my personal style/aesthetic more than anything low cut or wide legged (plus I don't like showing my chest!!)
Thank you so much for your wonderful and inspiring videos, Chi! You have made me understand why I was called "fat" when I was younger where I lived. I have tried your advice on wearing ruched dresses, and I must tell you that I am in love with my body and curves now! :)
My Measurements. Shoulders 44 Bust 42 waist 32 Hips 44 My Bust is smaller then my Hips, am I a pear shape? i originally been buying clothes to flatter my body for a pear shape figure. No one has meation shoulder measurements and now i am questioning my body shape. i am 167cm body length. alot of clothes all my life look like a tent on me, so i bought a sewing machine and i alter my clothes to fit my waist. Buying a sewing machine and learning basic sewing is the best investment for me. After watching this video i will be taking the fashion advice, maybe i have been buying the wrong clothes.
*Hi there, I am only 5'1 and have an hourglass figure. I have more problems buying maxi dresses than anything else, because I'm short lol I also love how the ladies in the comment section are there for each other because we all have these types of issues being an hourglass type of figure.*
I always thought I was a pear shaped but turns out I'm an hourglass. 😅 I love wearing tight fitted clothes however, wearing loose clothes make me look fatter! I wish I can wear loose fitted clothes..
I have been struggling with my looks for the most of my life. I didn't like what I saw but recently I've learned to love my body. Before I tried to hide my body and now I see it in a whole different light. Actually, I always thought I was a pear shape but then I did this test here on TH-cam and i found out that I am an hourglass and I was a bit shocked since it is so nice looking. I've been wearing the wrong type of clothes for almosy my whole life. But watching this video has made me realize why sometimes while I've been wearing a tight t-shirt or something really fit as a top, it has looked good. But I've always paired it with loose pants because I've been embarassed of my butt and legs. I'd like to ask, is there a way to dress as an hourglass if my butt is a little loose and saggy? Because like a pencil skirt does not make me look good when my butt creates sharp angles on the sides as it is hanging a bit.
Hi Laura- glad to hear! Best pants to balance wider butt/thighs are wide leg pants that skim over your hips and drape nicely down but not hugging your thighs. Avoid bias cut dresses or skirts.
This is a very helpful and concise video! Thanks! Kind of sucks because I am very curvy but I love the boxy cut / style, but I have learned the hard way that they look really bad on me! Thanks for helping me learn how to flatter and accept my curves.
Now i am sure I am a hourglas!!! The outline of my shoulers is exactly on the same line as the outline of my hips and my waist is 27% smaller than my hips. Your advice is very helpful! Personally, i dont like fit and flare dresses though, they make me look frumpy!
What can one do when your shape is strong hourglass, you're tall and you want to wear a fashion that almost exclusively caters to short, flat chested mild hourglasses/ rectangular shapes...?
Hi Chi, I have a question. My body type is a bit tricky. From the front I resemble mostly a rectangle shape. Or perhaps an inverted triangle. My hips look narrower from the front than my shoulders. But. My *measurements* are more or less hour glass... That is, I don't look like an hour glass from the *front* but from the side, that is, my silhuette does. I don't have curvey hips but I have a round protruding butt. My bust is full but collected in front, not flowing out to the sides. With regards to measurements I have 99 cm (39 inches) hips, 74 cm (29 inches) waist, 89 cm (35 inches) bust and 97 cm (38 inches) around my shoulders. I feel "fleshy" and like if I wear big shapeless garments I look like a giant pregnant blob so I obviously need to highlight my waist. But I've also always had a protruding tummy, regardless of weight, so I can never wear body con dresses. I also have a short torso/high bust and high waist...My total hight is 1,66 meter (slightly over 5 feet 5 inches) so I'm average hight I guess, but my torso is short/compact, so many v-necked shirts and blouses show waaaymore cleavage than they are meant too (as in you see my entire brah). So I have very limited chest space to show. I am not dissatisfied about my shape as it is. I have been in the past, but at my age (41, soon 42) I can't be bothered. But my problem is I can hardly find clothing that fit me. So I struggle to find out what body shape recommendations I could take?.. All in all, I seldom find tops or blouses that fit my shapes. The bust being to tight when the shoulder and waist measurements fit. The waist always falling at my hips rather than my actual waist.. etc. I can usually find jeans and pants in regular sizes. But for tops or garments that include a top part (as in a dress or coat) I try looking in the petite departments because then at least the bust and waist falls closer to my proportions. But... How could I otherwise think styling-wize? Go for hour glass shape tops? That flare/are not fitted in the tummy area? I can really wear a skinny jeans, makes my legs look good, but with some top covering my tummy... I'm just really confused! Am I a curvy inverted triangle perhaps?? Or a curvy rectangle? Or an hour glass??
I have the same body type as yours. I am a short torso hourglass with a full chest - 165cm, 100/76/100. Except my hips are the same width as my shoulders from the front. And I am also turning 42 this year. When I searched for tips for dressing a short torso / full bust separately, I got contradicting answers. Basically I have the choice of showing off my curves or looking 10kg heavier lol. Lately I have found videos of this youtuber very helpful - Jules Beth, as she has our body type.
my bust size has brought me a lot of insecurity in the past- i always felt like it made me look fatter than i was and no shirt would look flattering.. for years i only wore sports bras to try to cover myself up a bit
This is hard because I’m pretty sure I’m an hourglass shape - hips & shoulders are the same width, but I am a small chested woman & the fullest part of my breast doesn’t stick out very far. So some of these tips I’m not sure if they apply
Thank you for sharing and I like that you show on screen at the next thing you are talking about comes up great editor on you channel you doing great keep it up like your videos. Love XO
I have a turtle neck and it does make my bust look soooo much bigger. But it is a nice lemon coloured shirt tho so I think I'll keep it. I have V-neck and wide neck T-shirts and they do look especially good on me compared to the normal U-neck shirts. You thaught me many thing.
Hey! I recently figured out that I have an hour glass body. I used to think I had a pear shape. But now I'm trying to collect new clothes that I could wear with this new body type. I just have a problem that I feel like always if I'm enhancing my waist or wearing a top that has a quite big/low neck line, I feel like I'm over exaggerating my femininity and going more so in the sexual side. Like these two things that I mentioned, they are really the best ways to wear as an hour glass and they suit me quite well but I'm also graduating as a teacher so I shouldn't be too much of the sexual side. Can you help me with this problem?
And also, I have another problem too. If I'm wearing pants and then I'd like to put on a t-shirt, it's hiding my waist. But if I try to tuck the shirt in to my pants, to like make the waist show, it looks a bit stupid. What shape of shirts should I wear if this is my problem?
Okay so continue watching this Of course you can try new stuff But only you can define your fashion Your eyes are the best judge of yourself So chuck all the self modification Because what matters after all is the original you😊
I’m super petite, and I have a defined waist. I’m not super voluptuous but everything is medium and proportional. Am I an hourglass? My second guess is a rectangle. 34-35 in shoulders 33 in bust 25 in waist 34 in hips
I’m a petite hourglass figure I’m struggling so hard to buy clothes that look right. My shoulders are exactly the same width and my hips, my waist is tiny. I can’t wear tight bodycon dress my butt is flatter than my driveway, can’t wear tight leggings top set ppl start getting concerned if I suffer from anorexia. I tried the oversized hoodie & sweatpants to compensate for looking too skinny now ppl are concerned about my mental health I look homeless and depressed 😭. My torso is pretty short I’m pretty much mostly legs I’m not that tall 163cm. I don’t huge full chest I’m like 32 D. Pants the fit my hips never fit my waist and ones that fit my waist can’t clear my hips. Outerwear goes way too long since my torso is so short everything I wear just looks disheveled. The v necks I don’t have enough chest for they go too far down. It’s so hard to dress nice
Great tips! Thank you!! I'm all curvy, between hourglass and pear, depending on time of the month. And my calves are really huge. Difficult to find proper boots... I look like a footballer in a skirt... help!!!
Hi I just did a video on "mixed" body types. For skirts, consider wearing longer length that bypass the widest part of your calves, and wear with boots in the fall/winter. Some brands (like Naturalizer) make wide calf boots and I find them quite comfortable!
I am 160cm I have a 24 inch waist, I think 35 inch bust and 37 hips? I dont really keep track of the others. My body shape developed not long ago, After I came went back to school ( because of covid) I would catch boys looking at me all the time. My uniform has a vest and my friends like to make it tight so my small waist shows. Caused a ton of problems for me. I am going to do the exact opposite of what you advised because I do not want men to look at me. everything you said was quite relatable. And jeans, I gave up on those ages ago. I usually wear a palazzo or culottes now. ( I am sorry for not taking your advise ;)... )
My waistline is the same size as my hips. And I have hip dips. And also, my school's dress code is VERY strict, we only have just gotten leggings wearable at the beginning of this year and we can't wear straps or anything sexy. And I'm only 14. Can you make a video about how to flatter your hourglass with chubby parts and strict dress codes? I need to be sure I look beautiful, but don't get dress coded..
I’m not sure if I’m an hourglass shape or a pear shape.. but either way I’m petite and I don’t have a full bust so does this make a difference on any of those tips? 🤔
Even i am not sure as well, i have 37-34-37 inch measurement, but i have thick thighs comparitively to my smaller bust🤷♀️🤷♀️ its just experimenting and finding outfits
I started off thin as a beanpole with no curves before I had kids then, bam, out popped my hips and suddenly I had curves! After breastfeeding I kept a little meat around the bustline, but I'm still smaller on top. I've always been athletic and active, but I've struggled with a small lower roll I can't get rid of so I don't want to do a french tuck and have hesitated to use a belt on my waist. At 50+ I just discovered wrap dresses. They're great, but without a larger bust I always end up pinning them shut at the neckline. Could never figure out if I was more pear shaped or apple shaped. If I gain weight it doesn't go to my thighs, but more to my belly and hips. I have a rounded Latin rear, though not huge. Thought I might still be a rectangle, but now I'm wondering if I am actually an hourglass?? I'm just under 5'4", short to proportionate torso. Longer slender legs. Shoulders and hips are both 40. Waist is 32, chest is 37 (I wear a 36B. That could be the wrong number size for me?). Please help me to figure this out!
i didn't knew i was an hourglass i assumed myself as rectangle or triangle body shape but today it just hit me like truck to just know my body type and when i measured my body turned out i've 34shoulder-30bust-22waist-34hips which i believe is close to hourglass i'm 5'1 tall and currently weigh 42 kgs honestly speaking i've always struggled with clothing either the dresses i wore were too tight to my bust or too loose to my waist, lowcut jeans would just never fit me now i know why it did so imma just dress according to my body type
Hello. Just came across your channel and love it as i'm 5' 0" (:-)) You now have a new subscriber. However I have to say if there's any way to film somewhere else as the lighting behind you is so very bright that would be great.
I think I have an hourglass figure, moreso than any other body type. My waist is smaller than my hip and bust measurements but not at 25%. My hip and bust measurements are the same, and my hips are the same length as my shoulders. I thought I was a pear shape, but my hips are not bigger than my shoulders. Is the emphasis on the waist measurement being 25% of the hips for all people, or is it more looser than that?
I checked properly yesterday, and turns out I'm and hourglass. All this time, I wore non flattering outfits for me and got conscious of it lol. Imma trying to change it all.
Good question... I heard there's some exercise you can do, and if you wear straight or wide leg shape jeans or pants, they will not be very noticeable.
@@PetiteDressing thank u for the advice..not that I have a problem with hip dips..but I just feel that if in some dresses it is not too noticeable then my figure would be enhanced...❤️❤️ loved ur video
Some vlog says that bust waist and hips but sometimes it's shoulder waist hip ratio. If follow bust waist and hips ratio Im going to be pear. But if I see my shoulder and hips it's same width and I'm going to be hourglass. How to know your body type correct?
Do you have any tips for 22 in waist? My chest and hips are 33 in, which means I’m a S on the chest area, but around the waist it’s loose in tube tops. I’m an XS on the hips area, but even XXS is huge on my waist. Everything makes me look like a square because of the sizing issue.
Always dressing herself carefully To bring out her best appearance For the day is something very important And appropriate fitting blouse and skirt Is something sought after to wear by her Making sure it fits and looks well always She doesn't believe in wearing bra and panties She gladly chooses to go without these things This her fashion that she and I both enjoy
I am flat chested but i have wide shoulders that is quite similar size to my hips. Could I consider myself as an hour glass shape or I have a different body shape? (I hope you answer my question. It's gonna be a big help for me in changing my wardrobe. Thanks.)
How is your waist? Are you thin overall and your waist is significantly smaller than hips? Hourglass don't all have to have full chest. Some hourglass are skinny.
Not sure if I’m a pear shape or hour-glass but here is my measurements: Shoulders: 37 in Bust: 32 in Waist: 27 in Hip: 37 in Torso: proportional Height: 5’1 I’m a petite gal 🤭

Thanks for this video, I have always been admired coz of curves but am not full busted So does it mean am not hour glass, my hips and shoulders measurements are equal tiny waist but my bust is small 😔
I love turtlenecks so much 😭😭 and my school uniform blouse is the boxiest piece of shit I have ever seen but I still have to wear it as well as a long skirt that doesnt even sit on my waist
I am 95 cm on the chest, 65 cm on the waist and 92 cm on the hips. Would that be hourglass ? People always say I have such a nice figure when I wear form fitting clothes
When I dress casual clothes people can tell I am skinny still, but only I wear form fitting clothes do people look in awe. I never thought much of it. When I gain weight, it goes up and down and if I am not careful when I am little heavier, I can look much heavier because of the clothes.

Curvy jeans work well for hourglass -ie. American Eagle curvy or Ann Taylor Loft curvy jeans
Hi Ilysiana, thanks for sharing!
Ilysiana I really hate American eagle ones, they over stretch ridiculously fast :v

I am a petite hourglass figure, 5’2 .... I always thought I had an inverted triangle shape lmao.
Same girl
Same bruh same!!
Ppl say that my head looks smaller compared to my body but after watching ur videos i realized that I am an hourglass shape and wearing baggy clothes makes me look wider in comparison to how I actually am and I love ur talking style. Very soothing 😊❤️
Great to hear that! Thank you for noticing my talking style! ❤️
About the jeans was totally true! I usually get one that either fits the waist or the butt, never something that actually fits evenly.
Yes jeans is harder for hourglass
you made me feel proud of my body shape, I never paid attention to it tbh.
You're officially my savior 🤗
I wonder if size charts include extra-petite 😂
Thank you Rene! Glad you like them!
Hi Chi! I read somewhere that an hourglass figured woman could also have small breasts--as long as the shoulders and hips are proportionate. Thanks for all the information--I've also struggled with certain types of clothing. Now I have a better understanding of what to wear.
Hi Carol- that is totally true, I have heard quite a few viewers mentioned they are hourglass with average size chest!
Yes, me!!!
Wow, glad it was helpful! Lower necklines really make a difference in your outfit!
I've just subscribed to your channel and have binge watching your videos. The weird part is that I'm 176cm tall so very far from petite 😳 but I am finding very valuable information in every video
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it, Julie!
You said to wear a fitted top? What if your stomach is puffy? It makes it look worse. What do you recommend?
Hi Chi, Thank you, now I am sure that I am hourglass type. The babydoll advice was the most game changing for me! Before I thought that I look OK in this type of dress but I was frequently asked if I was pregnant:) I thought that something is wrong with my belly but now I know that I was OK - it is just a matter of dress type;)
Thanks for sharing!!
She’s making me feel really good about my body!!!
And I love her for that, have a wonderful life, Chi
Thank you! You too!
oh man.....after watching this I realized I've been dressing the exact opposite of what is recommended. I'm 5', always wear high neck tops or boxy tops and skinny jeans. it just fits with my personal style/aesthetic more than anything low cut or wide legged (plus I don't like showing my chest!!)
I love your heart for petite size women ☺️
Thank you so much for your wonderful and inspiring videos, Chi! You have made me understand why I was called "fat" when I was younger where I lived. I have tried your advice on wearing ruched dresses, and I must tell you that I am in love with my body and curves now! :)
You're welcome! So glad it was helpful!
My Measurements.
Shoulders 44
Bust 42
waist 32
Hips 44
My Bust is smaller then my Hips, am I a pear shape?
i originally been buying clothes to flatter my body for a pear shape figure.
You need to based the calculation between your shoulders and hips vs your waist, a difference of 8 inches between waist and shoulders or hips
You're hourglass its shoulder and hips vs waist
*Hi there, I am only 5'1 and have an hourglass figure. I have more problems buying maxi dresses than anything else, because I'm short lol I also love how the ladies in the comment section are there for each other because we all have these types of issues being an hourglass type of figure.*
Thanks for sharing!! I just did a new hourglass video, check that one out as well!
I always thought I was a pear shaped but turns out I'm an hourglass. 😅 I love wearing tight fitted clothes however, wearing loose clothes make me look fatter! I wish I can wear loose fitted clothes..
You can try a combination of fitted top with relaxed bottom, or vice versa!
this is the video i've been searching for my entire life
I have been struggling with my looks for the most of my life.
Hi Elena- glad you find it helpful!
Now i am sure I am a hourglas!!! The outline of my shoulers is exactly on the same line as the outline of my hips and my waist is 27% smaller than my hips. Your advice is very helpful! Personally, i dont like fit and flare dresses though, they make me look frumpy!
Thanks for letting me know!
What can one do when your shape is strong hourglass, you're tall and you want to wear a fashion that almost exclusively caters to short, flat chested mild hourglasses/ rectangular shapes...?
Tailoring the clothing seems to be the only option 🤔
Belt everything
Love this! Very thorough and easy to follow.
I love your channel madam you are a professional you really got me with the kind and choice of wears to wear for my hourglass shape.
Thank you so so much! ❤️
my bust size has brought me a lot of insecurity in the past- i always felt like it made me look fatter than i was and no shirt would look flattering.. for years i only wore sports bras to try to cover myself up a bit
this video was so healpful to me, thank you so much.
I found some Democracy jeans that fit so well. The only thing is that they got loose quickly. I really enjoy your videos!!!
This is hard because I’m pretty sure I’m an hourglass shape - hips & shoulders are the same width, but I am a small chested woman & the fullest part of my breast doesn’t stick out very far. So some of these tips I’m not sure if they apply
Can you do types of straps for petite women
Of course! I'll post about that soon! ❤️
Thank you for sharing and I like that you show on screen at the next thing you are talking about comes up great editor on you channel you doing great keep it up like your videos. Love XO
Thank you love, as always!
I have a turtle neck and it does make my bust look soooo much bigger. But it is a nice lemon coloured shirt tho so I think I'll keep it. I have V-neck and wide neck T-shirts and they do look especially good on me compared to the normal U-neck shirts. You thaught me many thing.
Hi Sonia- glad to hear!
How about a wrap dress? It flatters your curves but not too low or tight?
Try a French tuck
@@PetiteDressing Hmm... I'll try these. Thank you:)
@EastEndery i don't get it. Who wants?
Okay so continue watching this
Of course you can try new stuff
But only you can define your fashion
Your eyes are the best judge of yourself
So chuck all the self modification
Because what matters after all is the original you😊
I’m super petite, and I have a defined waist. I’m not super voluptuous but everything is medium and proportional. Am I an hourglass? My second guess is a rectangle.
34-35 in shoulders
33 in bust
25 in waist
34 in hips
Yup you're definitely hourglass
I like fit and flare. I avoid the bra wrap(banddo? Misspelling*) because the bra keep sliding down and makes my full chest droopy.
As someone who has 91.5cm shoulders, 78.5cm bust, 58.5-62cm waist (depending on bloating) and 85cm hips and is 155cm tall, do I qualify as hourglass?
Just what I was looking for!
Thank you so very much! 💕💕💕
Kim k is not a celebrity!! Love your videos ❤️
Another great job! Thank you
Good American jeans at Nordstrom has saved my life✨
I’m a petite hourglass figure I’m struggling so hard to buy clothes that look right.
All my tops are crew or turtle neck, and boxy. Ugh! Now I know why it looks great on the model but not on me. Thank you.
Glad to be useful Betty!
Great tips!
Im the same. Check out simply be. They do different calf fittings for boots.
Only place I can find boots that fit.
This is such a good advise... I now realised why some good shirt looks bad on me.
Great video, many thanks!
Lincoln outfitter jeans great price and looks good, fits properly
Your advice is like gold❤️
Hello. Just came across your channel and love it as i'm 5' 0" (:-)) You now have a new subscriber. However I have to say if there's any way to film somewhere else as the lighting behind you is so very bright that would be great.
Thank you for the feedback, Sharon!
I love your videos!! Thank you!!
Thank you love!
You deserve more love from more viewers! ♥️♥️♥️💋
Thank you so much Aicia!
I checked properly yesterday, and turns out I'm and hourglass. All this time, I wore non flattering outfits for me and got conscious of it lol. Imma trying to change it all.
This is really helpful! The only thing is that I'm really modest and I don't like low cut shirts or dresses that will show my cleavage easily. :(
Modest v neck looks good too!
Thank u so much... All the right advice..I had been waiting to hear..but I had a doubt..what about hip dips??
Good question... I heard there's some exercise you can do, and if you wear straight
or wide leg shape jeans or pants, they will not be very noticeable.
Pls provide some tips for petite hourglass shapes
Great video! Very useful tips. Also thanking you for toning down the music in this video =)
great advice thank you !
Can you be hourglasses without a full bust? I always considered myself hourglass, (Before having a child). But I was never blessed up top lol
Well explained 👌🏼
Thank you Vidhi
Do you have any tips for 22 in waist?
My chest and hips are 33 in, which means I’m a S on the chest area, but around the waist it’s loose in tube tops.
I’m an XS on the hips area, but even XXS is huge on my waist.
Everything makes me look like a square because of the sizing issue.
Same here 😔
Always dressing herself carefully
To bring out her best appearance
For the day is something very important
And appropriate fitting blouse and skirt
Is something sought after to wear by her
Making sure it fits and looks well always
She doesn't believe in wearing bra and panties
She gladly chooses to go without these things
This her fashion that she and I both enjoy
Chi what type of back pockets should I look for in pants to hide big hips?
I am flat chested but i have wide shoulders that is quite similar size to my hips. Could I consider myself as an hour glass shape or I have a different body shape? (I hope you answer my question. It's gonna be a big help for me in changing my wardrobe. Thanks.)
How is your waist? Are you thin overall and your waist is significantly smaller than hips? Hourglass don't all have to have full chest. Some hourglass are skinny.
@@PetiteDressing well my waist is 24" then my hips is 33". My shoulders, 34". My chest is only 28" 😅
Not sure if I’m a pear shape or hour-glass but here is my measurements:
Shoulders: 37 in
Bust: 32 in
Waist: 27 in
Hip: 37 in
Torso: proportional
Height: 5’1 I’m a petite gal 🤭
You do sound like an hourglass, given the slender waist and balanced shoulders and hips!
Petite Dressing thank you so much for responding back :) I appreciated it ❤️
Girl how do we have the exact measurements 😅
@@ingridmaubane1567 lol! Really? Nice to know we are so similar body wise :)))
I now understand why I have been struggling to find pair of jeans that fits me well. I am an hour glass.
Glad to hear Pauline. Some brands now have a "curvy" line designed to fit the hourglass figure better.
I have an hourglass body
Do you recommend wearing corset?
yes!
Hi Chi - I always have felt "fatter" than I actually am due to boobs and butt. I realize I have been dressing wrong. Getter better with your advice - thank you!
Thank you so much! Glad I could somehow help ❤️
Thanks for this video, I have always been admired coz of curves but am not full busted So does it mean am not hour glass, my hips and shoulders measurements are equal tiny waist but my bust is small 😔
Thank you so much, such a good video
You're welcome! ❣️
Am I a hourglass figure
Shoulder - 94
Bust-78
Waist-68
Hips-86
Your shoulders seems to be broad, but the rest seems to be hourglass (full bust, hips and small waist).
Thank you!
2:14 As an hourglass, i sometimes feel insecure about my thighs and upper-arms
thank you, this video really help me.
Glad it helped Leyda!
Yes!
When I dress casual clothes people can tell I am skinny still, but only I wear form fitting clothes do people look in awe. I never thought much of it. When I gain weight, it goes up and down and if I am not careful when I am little heavier, I can look much heavier because of the clothes.
Top hourglass suggestions waist is less extreme to hips as it is hips
