I hope he’s still playing in a place that we can only imagine. If he is, I hope I end up there and can afford tickets! Rest In Peace, Ivry. A great and kind persona, charming, witty, and always an individual.
really, this is so crazy, I watched Hilary, Garret, Perlman, Joshua H, Markov, and now this, all of them so talented, and me, I can't play music at all, wow, I'm impressed to death.
BigDaddyBen 21 I wonder some kids talk about master pieces...Markov is 10 times as well as kavakos...you can compare the bowing in caprice 5 caprice 16 and the hardest part ever in caprice 24 the double notes...Markov played undoubtedly completely in tune but kavakos played key off a lot
There is no best in Paganini, everyone is good and has a question of taste; technically I prefer Capricho 24 by Heifetz, but Paganini in general I prefer Leonid Kogan, it's incredible, and this Caprice 24 by Gitlis is my third favorite of all, very beautiful.
sometimes I do not understand, why journalists ask such questions ! They want to show more their own opinion than to wait, which opinion their questioner has. But very often, they are informed very bad. Like in this case ! And the Caprice being played in a factory with chains, disturbing the view, is simply disgusting !
Artificial Harmonics occur on the Major Third, Perfect Fourth, Perfect Fifth and Octave (rarely ever used on the octave because of the reach). Place first finger down all the way, and lightly press 4th finger on the major third, p4, p5 or Octave. Don't vibrate your fourth finger wider than your first finger or the sound drops out.
He is one of those one-of-a-kind violinists who inspire me to 'liberate' myself musically.

@Fletcher Warren don’t forget to concern yourself with wonderful violinist artistry
R.I.P. to a legendary violinist ♥️ thank you for your music and your spirit, Ivry
His heart is so warm...
RIP MASTERO .... best 24 I have heard
Rest in peace Ivry Gitlis ❤️
Incomparabile! Grande Gitlis
It starts at 6:25

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂😂
I have heard this hundreds of times, why do I feel like this is the first time?
So powerful...
Legend
Extraordinaire !
I think this is the version of paganini 24 that has the most story in the music.
A unique interpretation. But he still shreds.
thank you! music at 6:25, but the interview is worthwhile as well
A loving genius!!
Delightful!
♥️♥️♥️♥️🎻🎻🎻🎻🎻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻best best violin player
I used to place Kavakos #1, but Ivry just bumped Leonidas down by one.
The double stops variation seems to be the most challenging part as most of the players are not able to keep at the given tempo presto
Ivry playing Paganini like 😌, me trying Paganini like 🥵
perfect
The guy who make interview badly looks like Heifetz.
More like Adrien Brody in the film "The Pianist" by Polanski
Yes, Heifetz or Brody, but with a neuropathic hair and accentuated personality disorder...
What I like about his playing is that while he is quite as “perfect” as some players he is afraid to play dangerously which gives it unique character.
thank you! for japan! Very very valuable!!
Mabe you look like Heifetz!

he put a romantic flavor, sound so beautiful!!!
Kavakos is number one at 24 caprices.2nd place would have to be Markov
BigDaddyBen 21 first Markov then kavakos

after maxim vengerov's play... I like it best
The piano is messing up everything! Its a soup of sounds ... weirdooo
Are they that much out of sync? Or is it the piece that's written poorly on that subject?
Arjuna, It’s originally composed for solo violin
The only recording that came closest to the one by Heifetz.
he looks like putin
May I know which version (or modified by who) is this one please?
it seems like this is the video recorded exactly same as Heifetz version.
it’s the Auer edition (heifetz’s teacher, Leopold Auer)
@@VasChordum OK I found it! Thank you very much~ (but clearly i'm not gonna play it LOL
The only recording that came closest to the one by Heifetz.
I agree.
His virtuosity is absolutely amazing. I agree too.
What is the skill at 10:40 called? any tutorial on how to learn it. I am a self taught Violinist and Pianist.
Ello Oku flageolet (imitating the sound of a flute on string Instrument, also in a guitar) you play the overtones by tipping the cord softly
Artificial Harmonics
Ello Oku it is artificial and natural harmonica that are sub-divided
Artificial Harmonics occur on the Major Third, Perfect Fourth, Perfect Fifth and Octave (rarely ever used on the octave because of the reach). Place first finger down all the way, and lightly press 4th finger on the major third, p4, p5 or Octave. Don't vibrate your fourth finger wider than your first finger or the sound drops out.
it has much to do with the bow
