It is a institutions where they come to educate themselves with help of our taxpaying money. They have been selected from thousands of people who have applied for it and getting various benifit from accomodation to education for minimul fee. If they want to do any kind of activism or protest it should be outside of institution on their own.

They may be right or wrong but they definitely need to express their opinion. JNU has always been anti establishment but it still remains the number 1 University. Bright and creative minds will not just be good academically but otherwise too. They may go overboard at times but that does not mean they should not say what they feel. Where there is no dissent, there is no growth.
