Hi Julie, My mom kicked me out when I was 17. When I was 40 she needed to live with a daughter due to health issues, and I stepped up to the plate. Part of me said oh now I get to treat her the way she treated me. Then I stopped myself and said to myself, no I need to be an example and show her how a loving family should treat each other. We were roommates for 13 years until she passed away from Breast cancer. I never received an apology for getting kicked out, but I believe I showed her more kindness and patience than she showed me. I paid a Karmic debt off.

Beautiful video. It made me cry as it resonated so much. I too, have come to the same conclusion as you, Julie. I dropped all my expectations of what a mother should be, essentially became my own mother & I now accept my mother for who she is. The hard part is when they think they have done no wrong & are a great parent. Its been difficult, painful, a long journey, but so much spiritual growth for me. I hope to be the one to break the cycles.

OMG, you just told the story almost exactly of my relationship with my mother beginning with being thrown out of the house at 16 years old and being taken in by my first husband‘s mother and then talking to my mother two years on and then two years off and on and on just like you. And then, three years before she died, I decided to forgive her and just tell her I loved her, although I did not physically take care of her other than being on the phone with her doctors, nurses and caretakers, etc. It was the end of a tumultuous and loveless relationship and she would even tell me she loved me because at that point she was on some good meds, lol. I hope the same for you, Julie!🥰

Julie I’m 7.5 minutes into this video and I’m just heartbroken at the treatment you received from your mother, she sounds like my mother, exactly the same, when my father left she had a nervous breakdown and was a nightmare to live with? I moved to live with my grandmother when I was 11 years old. My mother is a covert narcissist, they love to spoil every Christmas and family event. I’m going to keep listening and I’m sure I’ll learn something from your experience because right now I just can’t bear to be anywhere near my mother.

I've backed right off from her in the last 3 months because it became too much for me, too, so I get it. Stay away if you need to. Protect you. x

She never felt love in her whole life… from her parents or your Dad and you kids and grandkids. The touch on her arm with those loving words completely stopped her in her tracks.. what a beautiful moment ❤

Finally got myself to the best headspace to view this one. I, too, have gone through a similar trauma with my parents. My mom has been gone 10 yrs now, and my dad almost three, but I'm still unpacking the hidden bits of pain they left behind for me. I found consolation in your story--I'm not the only one then, am I? Sending a loving hug to all who have gone through this.

Beautiful thoughtful message. I am in a similar situation and there are multiple layers to sort through when the relationship is (or has been) less than desired. May we navigate through this chapter with peace.

Thank you for this really honest account of what life has been like for you. I hope that you will continue to have the strength to keep being a loving and supportive daughter, within your own boundaries. Your mother has been so fortunate to have you there for her, even though this was not reciprocated, when you needed it .

Ms. Julie, now it is even clearer to me why I'm following you. I have had a rocky relationship with my all my life. That is the reason I don't even live in the same country. Every time I try to come closer, always something or someone else has better ideas, or I'm just dismissed. Anyway, I'm trying to keep it neutral and not letting it affect me like it used to. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Julie, such beautiful messages. I am also in a similar situation, I am 69 and my mom is 93, that has become at times so demanding and critical of everything around her. She was a very caring and nurturing mother throughout my life, but it is difficult to live with her at times. I meditate and ask for strength to get through this. 🙌🫶🙏

I’m hearing that there will be something big, yet I really cannot get any other information about it. Could you please give us any insights, lots of love, thank you ✨
