It's good to see a 'non Asian' being deemed worthy to speak. I don't know what the demographic makeup of the NJ church is and I know our movement has a high proportion of Korean/Japanese, but apart from this latest sermon giver, if you scroll down this YT channel, you have to go past SIXTY videos before you come to a non-Asian speaker.
Hi. May I ask why this is important to you? You know that our movement started from Asia. It's natural that most leaders are Asian. Why is the race of the speaker important to you ? And who ever said that a non-Asian person is less worthy to give sermons?
@@JCE-isaac Your question is confused on several points. Firstly, our movement started in Asia seventy years ago and it's been in the west of several generations now. There is no reason why western members can't take leadership roles. Also, the messiah Sun-Myung Moon is Asian and True Parents are Asian, but the members in Asia in general come from Old Testament or pre old testament cultures (Japan and Korea). There is nothing 'inherently wiser' by 'being Asian'. And God expected there to be a synthesis of Asian culture and Western Christian culture. On that point, Western members did indeed humble themselves and learn from Eastern members, but Eastern members did not understand that they were also supposed to inherit and learn Christian culture from Western members. Being that Christian culture is superior to Japanese and Korean pagan and non Christian culture. Just because the messiah is Korean, doesn't mean anyone from Asia doesn't need to learn from Christian culture. Knowing DP doesn't just instantly leap frog you to the Completed Testament level. Also, your comment pulled the old passive aggressive trick of asking why someone is objecting to something that is wrong as if they should be judged for objecting to wrong things. I reject that framing. Next, your comment tried to reframe my comment as if I was complaining about Asian leaders giving sermons. There is nowhere in my comment where I object to Asian leaders giving talks. What I did was point out that western leaders should not be excluded from giving talks at church in their own western country. My whole point is that the race of the speaker 'is not' important. That's why I was saying that all races should speak. You are the one defending the idea that white members should be excluded.
This song remembers me 51 years ago. .
