I wonder why GPHG need the watch brands to participate officially, they could simply consider all new watch releases, decide the ones deserving of awards and ship them their trophies. At least we'll have genuine winners.
@@watchestv-com No wonder they don't participate. Imagine paying to run an award function and they keep giving away awards to your competitor. GPHG should find another way to fund their event so they can be independent. Something like getting ad revenue by airing the event on TV maybe.

I think the copper dial 17.06 is some of their best work yet. I look forward to your exploration of Ming Thein and his brand. Perhaps this is where you can shed some light on some of the smaller up and comers. There are some small independents doing some interesting things. It would make a nice change from your coverage of the established companies and expose your audience to a whole other world out there.

I whish you could do us a favour by showing us who Ming Thein is. He is an absolutely interesting guy, worth exploring, and needs more exposure in the watch world. I am convinced that he too is a modest guy...

I definately think the watch industry deserves a great award show, But as long as GPHG is french speaking it wont achieve any international success. It just doesnt make sense to speak french at something that tries to become the oscars of the watch industry. As you also mentioned in the video it seems like GPHG is trying to please some of the bigger brands and that makes it difficult for the viewer to trust some of the awarded watches.
