The first half of the video is talking about 40% Silver Kennedy Half Dollars in general. stacking info is at 6:40 here is my war nickel video 👉🏽 th-cam.com/video/0o1Hn9lEl7M/w-d-xo.html 🔥🐉
Hey Silver Dragon you got a nice collection of half dollars there. I love the Kennedy Half Dollars. I don't see a lot in regular change even the clad half dollars.
When silver was 15$ I bought some as jjunk I hand picked then we're probably ms 63 they've gone up quite a bit bought some 90 s 2$ea earlier also unc .
Man you may want to do another look at these. They are the best thing going today for spot price value. Other Constitutional silver is like $27-30 over spot. This really confirms your video from 2019. These are good for stacking.
One of the great things about those 40%ers is that they are still out there in circulation. Unfortunately with all the coin roll hunters I haven't had much luck finding them since last year but I see many others are finding them still, Happy Hunting and Stacking! GD
I like 40% Kennedy's. Unfortunately, the low cost to buy means a low price when selling. They don't play a major roll in my stack, but I will pick up a few here and there.
I paused the video so I could break out my Kennedy halves. I have some 64's that are brilliant. It's a great coin. Fun video, I like the 40% but I don't have any. You make some good points for stacking them.
I’m looking to add some to my stack. I have two Eisenhower dollars I got from Dad. He passed last February. May he rest in peace. 🙏🏽 Spent the few Kennedys at the Dollar Store before I realized what they were. Now I’m researching every coin I find in his room. 😅 You’d think I’d learn my lesson after I spent the Morgan dollar Grandpa gave me when I was 11. Still have the one from Grandma. So I’m studying and watching as many vids as I can to understand these assets. Thanks for the info.
I bought mine to give to grandchildren on their birthdays! I give them the spill on how valuable they are and save them up. It’s something no one else gets them!
What's amazing about these 40% halves is the fact I'm still getting them from my local banks from time to time. It's as though people don't know these coins have bullion value.
Let me tell you people ! When silver hits $100/once fractional silver is great and this has finite mintage period - secondly , the only silver you would use to buy bread at your local Walmart , you use a Kennedy half before a silver eagle I’ll tell you that / third ... extremely low over spot currently $1.49 apmex at the time of this message - do not sleep on 40%- great size hefty and great value period
I agree with you. Well said. I think 40% silver at $2 over spot as compared to $8 over spot for 90% silver makes the 40% Kennedy halves a lot more attractive. After all, given the finite mintage of Constitutional silver, and that the US mint already can’t keep up with ASE demand, 40% junk silver might one day also carry a hefty premium as it could be the last & only US silver people can get their hands on if/when there’s finally a large rush into precious metals.
If you buy them on ebay, the shipping might be high as 7 kennedy 40% halves weigh a lot more than 1 one ounce silver dollars or 3 ninety % silver halves.
My local guy sells me these, Ikes and War nickels for melt or just under. He typically does not buy them from people but will if he knows I'll be around soon. His refiner won't even buy them from him anymore. So, a win for me.
Also don't forget, coins with silver ARE ALLOWED to be melted down, unlike copper pennies, etc... so if you have the time and hardware, you could buy this stuff and refine it down yourself (A LOT easier with the 90% stuff obviously) for poured pieces and save money.
Why don't you go through coins rolls? I wound up buying a box at the bank on a whim yesterday. I've only opened 8 rolls so far because I'm super confused. I've found 2 40% so far and a bunch of weird off cuts that I'm trying to figure out ♥
I like the 35 and 40 percent silver coins for when I am trying to get the free shipping off Provident or Apmex. Generally I have found is when it comes to these coins the shipping cost is almost equal. So why pay shipping when you can acquire a little bit more silver?
@@SilverDragons47 I find it amazing how his death affected the word at that time.He was making decisions of monumental happenings. Being Canadian seeing all the crazy shootings going on down there barely makes for minor mention in the news now. If Kennedy burped or farted the whole world would have paid attention. He got us started to the moon when the science was 1/2 of what it is no and worked for peace amongst other things. I have always wondered what he could have achieved if he had lived ? He is still honored to this day by the coinage still in circulation and collections. PS, I just got a call from my brother saying your letter has arrived and will bring it home tonight after he gets off work. Cool eh !
Never underestimate numismatic value… I stuck to rounds n junk silver bc I wasn’t speculating even tho I really really liked the 5oz atb coins n they cost way more than when i was looking at them…. If you see the numismatic value it may be worth it, esp if not something trivial like low mint year but something more unique like limited mint of a certain design
I really feel like I'm going crazy. For the longest time, I felt like whenever I was learning about silver half dollars, everywhere it said that 1969 was the last year they minted half dollars with silver in them. Now that I returned from a vacation, it's like that completely changed, and apparently 1970 was actually the last year that silver half dollars were minted. I'm not even messing around, I feel like my mind is playing tricks on me. I had collected so many half dollars this year, but I always thought 1970 half dollars were non-silver, so I just re-rolled them and took them to the bank to deposit them back into my account. But if 1970s do, in fact, contain silver, then I feel like I missed out on a lot of silver from this trick my mind played on me
This was a very good video I been trying to figure out how many 40% u needed to make a oz since I started stacking and don't fill bad I only have one 1970d but just cuz of this video if I run across one more I'm sending it to u you the man thanks again for making this video

Silver Dragons bartering is something which was used prior to money (trading of items which you well know) or without the existence of money. You are referring to the use of these coins as money in your example, are you not? If you give someone money with silver in it like in this example, it’s using the silver content to buy something. We all know silver has been used as money throughout history. Plus, I’m not seeing a scenario where we are in complete economic collapse and having to turn to precious metals as currency. If anything, you’re going to be selling those for their silver content when you hit retirement age.
I bought a bag of 20 Kennedy halves this weekend. 1965 through 1968. He wanted 3.50 each but I bought the bag of 20 for 2.25 each. I mostly buy bullion bars but I do enjoy buying silver coins.
I bought $21 of halves from my bank yesterday. 3 of em were 1964 and one was a 1963. About 8 more of them were 40%ers. So I'm guessing I had a really good haul? This is my first time trying this so I'm basically a noob.

Just a small note, they moved to 40% silver down from 90% because the value of the dollar went down, rather than the price of silver going up.
