It was paradise, Catherine -- no other way to say it. Warm humid air, warm clear water, beauty everywhere, and lovely people. We will for sure be spending much more time there in the future! ❤️
I've been watching you both for years now. I keep realizing your enthusiasm level has not diminished one ounce. The Costa Rica tour has me wondering if either of you have trail names. If not, could be fun what others think, I immediately thought, Elish it is "Do-Re-Mi" a song from "Sound of Music." Adams is "ZBF." ~ Zero Body Fat. Continue being unique with fun.
Haha these are fantastic trail names, Phil, and thank you so much for sticking with us all this time! We love taking you guys on these adventures, and 2025 should be the most epic and interesting year yet! ❤️
Such a beautiful park with lots of wildlife.. And amazing Beaches.. Sure you have enjoyed so much... I know you are back in California, so take great care Elise... Have a great evening and weekend... 😘👍👌🥂
WOW! That is a new type of content on this channel! I definitely see how your transitioning into the full-time travel will bring all kinds of new and different kinds of adventures. Looking forward to your new vids!
Thanks so much -- very glad you enjoyed it! Yes we really want to see a lot of variety that the world has to offer, and of course to share it with you guys! ❤️
It's adorable how Elise's voice rises about 2 octaves when she talks to wildlife. :D Anyway...looks like a wonderful, if HUMID place to have a good time!
Thanks Pilar, that makes us really happy to hear! It truly was amazing. We are just in love with Costa Rica, and can't wait to show you some epic waterfalls next week! ❤️
My favorite place in Costa Rica, I have visited it many times, I have memories of when Quepos was just a small banana village. It is one of the places I recommend enjoying if you like nature. The titi monkey is an adorable little creature.
Carlos that is truly wonderful you've been able to visit so many times! We already miss it, especially the monkeys and the beautiful beaches on that isthmus, and are thinking about when we will be able to go back again. ❤️
Oh my gosh Mark the water was SO warm! Sometimes we were in the ocean for 2 or even 3 hours and never even felt slightly cold. Costa Rica is paradise!! ❤️
I love how you guys did all the trails in one go 😍 so many animals! What a fun hike! I’ve only been to the beach there but would love to go back to that park and do all of the trails at some point! Maybe on in 97 degrees 🤣 love you guys! ❤❤❤
That's good to know you love Costa Rica too! I'm seriously considering eventually getting a place there for our home base, to live in part time and of course have friends come to visit!! ❤️ --A
So happy you enjoyed it, Laura! It's really our pleasure to share this kind of video -- it was so fun to make, and we love taking you guys to interesting new places! ❤️
Thinking of you both, your former home, family and friends in Southern California. Thanks for sharing your beautiful adventure in Costa Rica with all of us.
Thanks very much -- that's sweet of you to say. Thankfully all of our friends in LA are healthy and safe, though four of them did lose their homes and nearly all of the great local hikes, including Temescal Canyon where we had our very first date, are now gone. ❤️
@@LiveHardxLoveHard It's so sad - and scary, even from afar, to witness such powerlessness in the face of the flames - must be 1000x worse there on the ground.

You're right about that, Larry -- we were spending between 2 and 3 hours in the water every single day! It's just so warm and beautiful, and the water is refreshing but not at all cold so we were in it as much as possible. ❤️
Oh my goodness Colby, it really was humbling. Adam was just bounding around everywhere because I think it's his natural habitat, but I was suffering once it got really hot. Fortunately, there was always water close by to jump into! ❤️ --E
Thanks very much -- yes Costa Rica just has the best chill vibes, and we are definitely going to be spending a lot of time there surfing, waterfall hiking, and communing with the animals! ❤️
The iguana was agreeing with you and saying he enjoyed you're company! Lol. Iguanas in Florida arent so chill. They run away. Nice trip you guys! Great shot with the bird over the look out!! I hope you guys are still coming out here next fall! I'm learning more and more all the time!! With how good you guys are at hiking and documenting with video and such I bet you guys could make the coolest video ever from around here! There are many videos of this area but its usually this or that thing or this or that portion but I bet you guys could do a giant trail and just show everything at once and maybe much more that anyone else shows. If you made a video here it would definitely be beautiful no matter what but in the vast area it may become viral and a go to video for all people who live here and the visitors!!
Haha he was strongly agreeing, Steve -- that was some nod! Yes we are definitely going to get over to Florida at some point now that we can full time travel -- it really would be awesome to do some Everglades adventures and other beautiful things there! ❤️
One of my most favorite places in the world! We seen so many monkeys and sloths there. You have to be really careful with those monkeys, never stare them in the eyes! I've seen them become extremely aggressive for food. He was ripping the bark off the tree looking for insects. We seen both 2 and 3 toed sloths right on the beach there. They can be challenging to see. We also seen quite a few howler monkeys. There were also wild scarlet macaws in the trees near our hotel on the beach. They flew past us several times each day!
Oh my gosh Jason, we're so jealous you saw the sloths!!! We really looked for them but never saw any. That is awesome. We did see some macaws, though, and a totally awesome toucan just hanging out in a tree by our favorite coffee shop! ❤️
Wow, I'm so glad you guys had a good experience there :) Sounds like the key is to get there early and hit the trails. Those capuchins were a terror when I was there grabbing food out of people's hands. Guards were indeed kicking people out for feeding them. That's the Manuel Antonio experience you want to have!
Exactly, Matt! You know how we roll. We were basically the first ones through the gate and we hiked pretty fast at first, so we had the isthmus and those first monkeys completely to ourselves. It was paradise. Later it got much more crowded of course, but by then we were already doing the less popular trails like Catarata, so it was a pretty idyllic experience overall. When you go back to CR, I'd def recommend that strategy for all the hikes. We had incredible places like Blue Falls all to ourselves by just being the first ones there. --A
Lots of fun ! Totally a different type of trail for you guys! I have been to M. Antonio and it was beautiful! The iguanas in FL are not as chill as those lol!
So glad you've gotten to visit this incredible place! We were totally blown away, not just by the animals but also by that beautiful isthmus. We spent about two hours just playing in that warm water and loving the fact that we were in paradise! ❤️

hi adam and elise, such tragic news about the la fires, do you have any friends or family affected from the la fires. was that near where you were living.

We were there when right when it opened at 7 am, and we hiked pretty fast at first so we were all alone for about an hour or so (except for the monkeys!) until we wrapped back around to the sloth trail, and then it started getting more crowded.
Oh my gosh Tom we were lucky that didn't happen to us because we left them in plain view when we went in the water! Those monkeys are so athletic, it would be impossible to catch them if they did steal something! ❤️
I just realized you guys haven’t been retired long enough to be taking a vacation. What’s the deal! 🤷🏻♂️ I think the rest of us have been doing this all wrong! 😀 Just kidding guys! I have been enjoying your enjoyment! You deserve some after all that climbing. Blessings guys! ❤️
Haha thanks Larry -- ya you're right it was mostly just a vacation from the cold weather! It sure was fun though. Hope you're staying warm out there, and having a great start to the new year! ❤️
Sure of course! We were there for the entire month of December, starting on December 2, and just got back. Elise, did you at least get a saliva sample from the monkey so you can do some genetic testing of it? Then you can compare it with Adam's to see why he climbs so well!!
Hahaha I think you've really hit on something here. Adam was so freaking strong and monkey-ripped in Costa Rica -- he attributes it to surfing almost every day, but I think it was just getting back to his natural habitat 😂 --E
Hope you two are including Volcano Arenal in your trip. Can't remember the name of the hotel, but stayed at one years ago, right across the valley from the volcano cone, and we could watch glowing lava flow down the cone at night.

Hope you two are including Volcano Arenal in your trip. Can't remember the name of the hotel, but stayed at one years ago, right across the valley from the volcano cone, and we could watch glowing lava flow down the cone at night.
That sounds awesome! We really want to see that. This was mostly a family surfing trip so we didn't make it to Arenal, but no worries we're in love with Costa Rica and will go back often and for sure do it on the next trip. We did do a couple of epic waterfall adventures we still need to edit for you guys though -- the waterfalls there are insane! ❤️
