Thanks for your continued experience. A world of knowledge and professionalism. Affinity is a massive fully featured program takes years of continual study and practice. I am currently in the process of automating a lot of my processes so LUTs, macros and presets are my interest at the moment. Cheers and thank you
Thanks for doing these videos. What is the difference in a LUT and doing a macro? they both seem to provide you a way of repeating a process. Also is there anyway of doing either in the develop persona. Thanks
You kind of can. The problem with the SpyderChecker is that it creates Lightroom Presets, instead of color profiles. So, you would either need Lightroom and then convert it to a LUT or you can use a software that can make a color profile from the spyderchecker datacolor photo.
A few years ago I bought a colour checker passport and got Affinity Photo bundled with it for free. I have been searching since then as to how to convert DCP to LUT, the infer LUT should work as I can apply DCP in a programme that will use LUTs and use the before and after images in Affinity Photo to create a LUT that is equivalent to the DCP. Thanks Olivio.
Is there a preferred place to save LUTS? We use Win10Pro-64bit and use all three of Serif's apps. In other words is it better to save them in one of the app's file structures; or, just anywhere?
Thank you. That was very clear and helpful.
Please show how to create LUTs in Affinity Photo for iPad - Version 2

Thanks Olivio! I'm not understanding the difference between a LUT and a preset...
Great as usual Olivio. Thanks.
Thanks for this video. Never focused on making LUTs really. This helps a lot. Simplier than I thought it would be.
You're very welcome :)
Enjoyed the explanation. Thanks!
thank you
Ok, I've been using your LUTs so far. Never created my own LUTs. But now I will.
How cool and easy is this?
Thanks again, Olivio!
Great to hear :)
I wonder if I can make LUTs for the colour checker such as Data colour SpyderChekr.

@@OlivioSarikas and I'm pretty sure Lightroom isn't too expensive, but I'm wanting to avoid anything Adobe if possible
@@KRGraphicsCG Like I said, there is software to do that, but I can't recall what it's name is. You would nned to look on google. Sorry

that could work. give it a try. keep in mind that you need the same unedited and edited image to do this
Absolutely fantastic, thank you.
For those that are confused, a LUT is a "Look Up Table"
I've exported my LUT and nothing happens when loading it to another picture. What I could be doing wrong?
Thanks for the tips in this video :)
you are welcome. part 2 coming soon

since 1.9 you can now import LUTs into the "Adjustments" Tab - however the LUT previews have been removed
so in the same way I can take a frame of my video, load it into Affinity and create a special lut on it
yes, that works great. i have done so several times for my own videos, because i simply know affinity better than my video software :)
