1:48 "RUST assured, that IS the real deal!" 😂🤣
Hey Chris. Those who like the “patina” whether it comes to a rusty car or blue jeans are just trying to buy “blue collar” experience that they have not earned. You’ve earned it my friend.
I remember 20 years ago, Old Navy, sold Mechanix Jeans. Ones that had fake grease stains and ones that were distressed. I went for the distressed look. I was a hit with the girls in college at the time!
@@HighSierra1500that’s wild. I hate it when I end up somewhere social looking greasy.
I dont care mutch for cars. I startes to look on your boat engin repears and liked them a lot, and now i like cars also. You sir are a wisard with engins. Love all your videos. Thanks for sharing.
14:09 Jen to the rescue 🙂 oh and ,congratulations you guys
I like patina. The real patina. I've never understood why someone would fake it then spray shiny clear over it. On my 1967 Ford F-100 SWB it's got real patina and I'm gonna scuff it and spray flat clear on it and I'm done. It sat in a old man's yard unprotected for 30 years to get to the look it has.
You see I’m on the other side of that why not just kind of give us a good cleanup and then just do a cheap paint job so it doesn’t look like hell but that’s just my opinion. It doesn’t take a lot of money to put a paint job on there people make it seem like it’s so hard. It’s gonna cost so much but a guy could do it himself and be proud of it without spending Thousands… ask me how I know
Because when we spend 60 Grand on our truck we don't want it to rust away but we want the look
From South Africa, if i may ask, what do you guys use for/ to patina a car, is there a special product on the market?
Had a 67 Ford 500 , no rust . . put a Perkins 6354 in it , pushed the diff back to end of chassis as was planning to turn it into a tilt tray . . but just ended up putting a hiab crane on it . . actual resprayed it original Dulux red it came with that I got off from the VIN plates & had Dulux mix it up for me who understood the code
Patina is rust and shit paint. Plain and simple. It amazes me people don’t aim higher than that.
What you want for the bed electrics is called dragchain, it's a segmented loom guard. You've probably seen it already on forklifts and anything with an extendable boom. If you run a piece of C channel along the frame for it to sit in and run your loom though that should sort you out.
out of all the rigs you've had something about that rollback is just the coolest to me
I had a grey tabby named turbo too .
He was the best cat ever.
Very playful and nothing ever scared or startled him.
He would always hang out with me in my little shop.
Hey Chris, iirc that Jeep is a limited edition 'denim' model, that's why there's blue seats and decals
The seats should actually be covered in denim
Wheeler Dealers restored 1 a few years back
The LEVI Editions had denim seats. That looks like one! Super Cool blue and white.
I no nothing about cars but I like watching your videos. Thank you.
This is not the place to learn from properly. Drywall anchors is hack work. Best I can say. If you are going to do the job do it right!. Side of the road repairs aside. At a shop hack work is not what to do.
@@ClimptonDiddlehopper it's a rotted out 70s jeep. Chris posts a ton of vids and there's a ton to learn from, he does good work. Lets see your perfect barrett jackson restorations lmao
I'm a "car guy", and I really enjoy watching Chris do things right! So many TH-camrs cut corners and do some pretty sketchy things... and having the lovely (and talented) Jenn and the Gus man along just makes for a well-done channel.
I love the way u make things goods as new when they are good for the scrap dealer 🤣 i watch ur videos since years, it's always a pleasure, greetings from France.
Dang that would suck if that rig gets parted ,,even rusty. It would be a awesome trail rig !! 😂 i had a junky 304 3spd Laredo, it was great on the trails
A man that knows how to run a tap and die set I get so sick of seeing people on TH-cam putting sockets on the set ups and crank away with the impacts or cordless ones. Thanks again for sharing that with everyone. 😊
The rollback sounds great. I love the Gus man. I'm glad he's feeling good. I can't wait for Jens big news. I definitely will be watching her channel for that.
I think big news got patent pending on the cellar toilets mods with AMERICAN STANDARD
Hey Chris THOSE Denman GROUND HAWG TIRES ARE RARE & AWESOME! THAT CJ-7 IS WORTH RESTORING!
Hey Chris!! I've just watched Jens video and I want to congratulate you, you'll make an awesome father !! I hope you both keep us all updated on the pregnancy much love from the UK!!
I really like your videos. I like the jump cuts to other stuff. Town stuff and odds and ends. Keep up the great work!
i'll just say that my cousin had a cj5 with the 304 and he put side pipes on it. the sound was amazing.
Love the work you do with heavier duty trucks like the tow truck and now this rollback, maybe you’ll have to buy a dump truck to complete the fleet.
Marching band was a great 4 years of my life. Best thing about high school. And congratulations on the new little baby coming soon.
Also, the bed should have a spot that doesn't actually move for the wiring, run the bed and see what part doesn't move, I can go look at my rollback and see exactly what they do. Your bed doesn't sit down all the way cause the bed locks are bent from ppl raising before sliding it back far enough to clear the locks
Really like your style man. Buy more, built fortune for your children, you are a good man. Have children and build generation welth. You give us hope. Build a Family! MADE IN AMERICA!
I don't know where you got your skills, training or whatever but you have to be the best machanic on you-tube!
Only with a NNKH vlog do you get to see a classic Jeep and Mr. Gus but a marching band and the end. Great video. Thanks.
Chris, as far as I’m concerned you’re the best mechanic I’ve seen on Utube! You know all the tricks on repair! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻💯💯💯💯💯💯
My first car was a 78 cj7. To remove the roof like a pro, put some ramps off the back door. Crawl into the back, find the rough center and stand up. The roof will balance on you back and then just walk down yhe ramps.
Yep, the old turtle method. Helps if you don't have a back seat
Nice job on the roll back Chris, gotta love the rumble of the exhaust!
Congrats Chris!!!! Your life is getting ready to change in a major way!
I expected you to jump up and yell Ice Cream! When I heard the ice cream van music. Lol🎉
Hahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahaaahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gus steels the show again, glad he’s feeling better. Another great video Chris, loved it.
Chris, Watching your videos are like spending a day with ya! Love what you’re doing. Thanks
Heck yeah. I like all the videos you put out. I learn something new every time. Keep up the great work
Gotta love that jersey weather!!! Just ask Gus. I like them badges of that time.coolness Chris.
Great way to end the week with a Chris video, your channel just keeps getting better and better buddy, have a great weekend !!!!!
It amazes me every time I watch one of your videos as to the breath of your interests. Who would have thought you like parades. Your channels are so enjoyable to watch and you are one amazing mechanic. Thanks for sharing your interests with us and congrats to you and Jen.
WOW.... old school GROUND HAWG TIRES... and they look new...awesome!
Hey Chris ! Love your channel, it is my favorite Utube destination. Love your approach to the challenges that you encounter with your projects. Very excited for your news, a new little wrench turner will be a great addition! You and Jen will be awesome parents! Love your vacation videos too
I Love JEEPS! Any video with Gus and a Jeep revival is awesome!
Thanks so much and prayers to Jen, Chris, Gus and Turbo! Kirk from Louisiana, love you guys! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙋🏼✌🏻✌🏻
Hey congratulations to you both on the baby News! So happy for you both!
Congratulations on your upcoming fatherhood! Great news. I am sure you will be a brilliant father just as you are with your “ collected treasures”!
Awesome and outstanding content as always. Thanks for sharing and taking us along
Old Jeeps are wicked fun. Crazy ballsy to take the top off solo. I've never tried that with my CJ5. Not eough people run their Jeeps T.O.N.D. (top off, no doors) much less with the windshield folded down. Good to see you treating it right!
Gosh Chris, watching you with that top makes me think back to when I was younger and not broken and could one person K5 tops off without thinking about... gosh, where have the years gone
Great job Chris,Straight to the point like always.
CONGRATS to you and Jen and little miss to come
Man, 96k miles. Someone had a lot of fun with this thing over the years.
@@inverted311 Jeeps of that era had pretty thin sheet metal and were prone to rust. My parent's 1985 Jeep grand Wagoneer rusted out and so did my neighbour's 1977 Jeep CJ7.
Er... I just watchedJen's video... CONGRATULATIONS!!! I noticed for a long time, that you were both missing something from your lives... and I wasnt thinking of some extreme type of rust bucket...🙂 Now... you will have to have a NNKH 3 channel so we can stay on top of latest news... 🙂 Again..congratulations and I'm so happy for both of you!
had a 76 cj7 304 3 speed in highschool, it was completely rusted out too
Just love this channel ,you always find the right solution to fix yet another problem .Plus the added input from Jen and the Gus man ,greeting from the Scottish isles 👍👍
Always nice to see bro making a appearance 👍
Jen swooping in to help👍( my girl would watch me break my back then laugh🤣)
Going out to eat in the quiet spot with the secret entrance to the kicking spot . So cool 👍
All round great video
Im still driving my 4 X 4 Opel frontera 1995 ...heavy duty and off road job ...!
Great video, exhaust sounds amazing. Thank you for posting 😀
Thank you so much for your content! Perfect for Friday evening viewing. Best channel on the Tube.
Thank you very much for tuning in! Wouldn't be able to do this kind of thing without you
Man, you and Jen make the best videos. I really enjoy watching them from beginning to end informational as well as funny as hell most of the time. Keep up the great work
Thanks for the kind words and greatly appreciate you tuning in!
Congratulations to you both! The most challenging yet most rewarding thing you’ll ever do. Can’t wait to see you both as parents - you’ll be great. God bless you and your family.
Thank you for sharing! I am glad that the Jeep is going to be fixed up. Those old Jeeps with the 304 are perfect stock trail rigs. I love the Torino and I hope the new owner enjoys it as a daily driver, I love to see those cars on the road.
Chris and Jennifer you’re video always make me smile, thanks
Dude. You rock. That's the nicest exhaust system I've ever seen. Fun video. Thanks for the update.✌️
Nice video as always! Jeep will be great off road as is. Rollback is shaping up nicely, love the stack also.
I don't comment enough on your videos but man I'm such a huge fan of what you do. In about 25 or so years when I retire, I want to do exactly what you do 😂 I daily drive a 35 year old Mitsubishi truck and keeping it going is so satisfying. Love the content so much and congrats to you and Jennifer on the baby girl!
Can't watch it now 'cause I'm stuck at work. But thanks for giving me something to do on a Friday evening. Gonna make popcorn.
Can't thank you enough for tuning in this evening! Enjoy the rest of your day
Awesome videos and you are one of the hardest working people out of all these car video channels. Also you are a daredevil skateboarding through Philadelphia at 1am in the morning, walking around Newark in Jersey which is deadly, and going inside of a NYC subway tunnel. You must have a guardian angel following you around. Keep up the great work, take care and god bless
That K30 sounds amazing brother. Hell of a job doing so. Keep up the great work and much love to ya from Maryland❤❤❤
Great video as always. I am always amazed when I see how much rust you guys up north have from the road salt. So glad we don't have to salt our road down here. My Dad's 73 Chevy Blazer that has been in the mud at least 50 times a year since new looks like new compared some of your vehicles. Keep up the great videos.
Chris is definitely one of the best in the business!👍🏾👋🏾💪🏾
Yes, congratulations to both of you on your great news..Your lives will never be the same!! Mark my words!!
Good video Chris (as always !). It was good to see the Jeep going to restoration. It was still a cool vehicle to have for summer fun. My cousin had one from new in upstate NY, he used to talk about the gallons/mile !, very thirsty machines.
Seeing the Torino depart was very sad, it was the very best vehicle you had 😢
From what I seen with tilt beds is a coil of wire held to the bed with a large spring with a sleeve on the wire that the spring attaches to. I don’t see why yours won’t work maybe just attach a spring to hold it up out of the way. awesome video as always!
I just love your content Chris😊! Looking forward to you and Jenn's next adventure.
Amazing news on Jenn’s channel!!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
He is one of the most smartest mechanic fiquiring out ways to fix stuff .. blows my mind. That’s why I wish I had a dad to show me ways to fix stuff he passed at an early age.
Chris: I really enjoy your videos because you get directly into the content. Congrats to you and Jen. I wish you guys the very best. Keep up the great videos
Great vid! All sorts of fun tid-bits in there, although I am a little sad to see the Gran Torino Elite go away. But then - glad it is going to some folks who want to drive it, and give it new life. Cool upgrade on the big truck. And I loved seeing the Memorial Day parade. Especially the re-enactors / Colonial era soldiers. Perfect timing, since I am currently re-reading 1776 - this time on audio, in my truck. Anyway - ALWAYS great to see Chris & Jenn doing their thing! 2 great young Americans!
The rollback sounds awesome.👍
Great content as always and inspires me to get out side and get some work done in my project!!!😊
Yeah .I remember a lot of Jeeps having that kind of rust issues when working at the gas station...and nice shot of the orange Willy's...good content and thanks 🔧🔧👍
I'm not even into cars, I think I just love this guys passion and his knowledge plus that lil wiener dog lol. Subbed!
Great video maaan!! As always there’s no lack of motivation 💪🏼
45:50 Turbo looks more like turbo lag..!😂. Who doesn’t love a chill day turbo❤!!! I wonder what the big news could be…😮
My favorite channel on TH-cam hands down! The name of the channel says it all...NO BS!
Hey Chris, congratulations to you and Jen for the pregnancy, I'm really happy for you guys, it surely is gonna be something to see a lil one join the NNKH family, great great news!
Dude. I’m 13 minutes in and you just cleaned out the caliper. I really appreciate you showing us stuff like that because it could really help people in a pinch. I didn’t know you could clean it out like that. I thought you had to remove the piston and hon the bore and all that stuff. I know that you are just doing a quick fix but in a pinch that’s all you need. 👍🏻👍🏻
Coming from a dry climate with very little rust it is so hard to see the rust buckets you have to deal with. Great video!
Back when Jeeps had some character. Not the current $100k garage princesses.
Ugh, right? My boss in addition to one of my coworkers had 2019-ish era Rubicons that I'm sure were like $40,000 off the showroom floor. They then dumped at least another $25k each on aftermarket parts, lift kits, hideous wheels, winches, etc. Time spent on any road surface rougher than the gravel parking lot at the weekly farmers market? Zero. So effing ridiculous. I have an 01 TJ 4.0 that I daily drive, absolutely no hesitation at getting her muddy. Oh yeah - $5,000 hahaha.
I think the new ones still have built in character, but most owners do not use them off road... Rubicons and modified Wranglers are definitely no exception, I think most people just buy them because they look cool. Oh well... in the future when these Jeeps are affordable parts will be plentiful.
That stiff turning is probably the wheel joints, the u-joints located right by the wheels. I’ve owned some junk and that was pretty common. Easy way to test it is lock the manual hub with the jeep in the air then try to spin the tire with the vehicle turned all the way one way or the other. If it spins fine unlocked but only moves a few inches before it stops locked its that u-joint
I believe 1980 was last year for 304 in CJ. But the 304/360/401 will bolt to the bell housing in any 258 six CJ. New engine mounts and your good.
Good to see the Jeep going to a new home. The rollback sounds awesome with a new exhaust, Michelle's spring bushings help a lot too. You always doing something amazing work dude 👍 keep it up and the awesome Content ✌️🇺🇲
The stack sounds great! Congratulations to you and Jen!
Love the exhaust system!!!! Friggin nice to cruise and blat but also comfortable with being able to talk lol
Man you a bringing back memories! I had a 79 Renegade with the 304 many, many, years ago.
To engage the 4wd easier, you let off the clutch slightly right at the engagement point to "rock"the jeep back and forth. 4wd will pop right in effortlessly!
I love the rollback. It's such a sweet rig and totally useful.
CHRIS! Just saw Jens video! Congrats Bro!!! 👏 You guys are gonna make awesome parents!!
I think Gus should have been called Turbo, lol. Speedy little fella! Nice work Chris, good video
I like all the mechanical stuff and then you add in a parade! Thanks.
Thank you great video. Excelent mechanic, great trades . Hard trade you chose for yourself, you make working on cars and any thing else that has an engine look very easy .Even diesel engines. Keep on making great entertainment
Congratulations on the new baby in development - selling your vehicles and looking at property were some big hints - in any case all the best to you and Jen - you'll make a great family. Keep up the entertaining videos.
This channel makes 45 minute videos feel like 5 minutes. You just never want then to end.
Thats why i push / encourage 1 - 1.25 hour videos yet the sentiment seems to always be " oh no, this video is getting too long " ... -_-
I agree his videos are never too long
