The first room band is AnnenMayKantereit the guy with the deep voice and the second room was the band Giant Rooks is with the other singer. I love the way there voices work with each other different but works so well together. There both German bands as well
Henning May (pronounced “My”) is the singer, AnnenMayKantereit is the band (the other members are Christopher Annen, guitar, and Severin Kantereit, drums).
The song is a cover of Suzanne Vega's Tom's Diner (1987). This is a collaboration of two German bands: In the first room AnnenMayKantereit are playing and Henning May (deep raspy voice) is their singer. And in the second room Giant Rooks are playing, Frederik Rabe is their singer. A little later AnnenMayKantereit join them. AMK does mostly German songs, Henning can also sing without that rasp, his voice is amazing, but I like Frederiks voice even more. Giant Rooks do English songs, even though they are Germans as well. One reason why I love Frederiks voice is their cover of Life On Mars (David Bowie): th-cam.com/video/slIG7Aes7DM/w-d-xo.html. And my favorite original song of Giant Rooks is Nightingales Of The Walled City: th-cam.com/video/4u5pPzAq0i0/w-d-xo.html . It is a live performance because they haven't released it.
next song of AnnenMayKantereit you must react is: "Roxanne" all what the guys are doing ist brilliant: the singing (voice), the sound, the musik, the accoustic, the locations, the kamera. everything is worth an oscar or a grammy! My favorite song is their first smash-hit "barfuß am klavier" (bearfoot at piano).
HENNING MAY POWERFUL RASPY BARITONE VOICE. ANNENMAY KANTEREIT started as a sreet band in Germany and now fill huge arenas. You should check out covers of classic rock songs in English:: COME TOGETHER, ROXANNE, Bruce Springsteen's I'M ON FIRE, JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE'S CRY ME A RIVER. JAMES (ST JAMES INFIRMARY) from Live in Berlin concert and Valerie a duet with Natalie Findley. . ORIGINAL SONGS IN ENGLISH FROM 10 OR 11 YRS AGO: LEAVIN, SOMEDAY SOMEWHERE, WAITING AND YOUR DOOR (, THE DRUMMER S. KANTEREIT IS PLSYING A PERCUSSION INSTRUMENT CALLED A KAHONE WITH HIS HANDS. THEIR GUEST IS PLAYING A STEEL DRUM. IT'S VERY COOL.
Great reaction video. Such a fun video to re-experience with someone new to it. You might like AnnenMayKantereit x Milky Chance when they cover "Roxanne"...

AnnenMayKantereit has a video of them in the woods and he sings Sometimes I like to lie. Amazing, a real treat.
my mans was stun-locked.
There is just something about real instruments that just elevate a song.
