The reason why Goten got to SSayian soooo young is because a Sayian's offspring is born stronger the stronger the Sayian is .... Goku had Gohan before he could even stand up to Radits, which is why they both struggled to become SSayian (imagine if Goku and Vegeta continued having more kids at their current level)... but, Goten was conceived when Goku had already gone beyond Ascended Super Sayian, this means Goten could have even more potential than Gohan ... and of course Trunks over Vegeta... PS: I loved this moment for Chi Chi, she was a fighter too and the fact she was training Goten all along was awesome to see
One of the best parts of Vegeta training with Trunks is that when he hits him, he actually feels bad about it. It shows his progression. He has never cared about hurting anybody, ever, in any way. Even Future Trunks. I think seeing Future Trunks die to Cell completely changed him and he wants to do things different this time. This Trunks actually has a good relationship with Vegeta.
In Martial arts particularly Tai Chi, or Hung Gar Kung Fu for example, what Gohan is basically talking about when training Videl is what is referred to as your Dantian or dan-tien which is an inch below your navel where you can more easily access and center your chi. It is also sometimes referred to as the "Sea of qi".
Another funny observation from the Vegeta and Trunks scene: Vegeta has an eternal rivalry with Goku, and he is now extending that rivalry down to their children. When he thinks "Only a bit eh? Well, we'll have to do something about that," Vegeta means that he wants his offspring to surpass Goku's, just as he himself wants to surpass him.
Remember, it took Master Roshi fifty years to develop the Kamehame Ha Blast. Which is "realistic" enough. Although saiyans have us used to develop an energy technique every other five minutes!
Vegeta's reaction when finding out Trunks and Goten were able to become Super Saiyan so young was absolutely justified, and rather tame if we're being honest. But it's not too difficult to see why the Super Saiyan form was so rare and legendary among the Saiyan race from before. Part of how Goku and Vegeta attained the form entailed A LOT of Senkai boosts from getting pummeled to near death, and and them reaching an eventual emotional breaking point. The Saiyans didn't exactly give themselves those kinds of conditions for trial and error. Judging by how Vegeta treated Nappa after he was injured by Goku on Earth, it's not too great a leap to assume the Saiyans probably did that a lot to Saiyans injured significantly in battle : "Oh they're weak, leave 'em or put 'em out of their misery. You're a disgrace to the Saiyan race!" Gohan was just naturally gifted. And Goten and Trunks achieved the form easier because when conceived Goku and Vegeta were way stronger in power level. Essentially the road to the Super Saiyan is either : a lot of training, getting beaten up and recovery and then experiencing a moment of severe emotional outburst... or being the child of someone who already attained the form when you were conceived. 🤷🏻♂️
What i like about Kid Trunks is when hes not around Vegeta, he acts like this tough rowdy kid that wants to fight but when hes with Vegeta he acts like the kid that he his and just wants to spend time with his dad. You would think it would be the other way around but it works
To me I always took the videl scene about the hair as sorta a test for gohan. Reason I believe this is because it is the first time that roles were reversed. In the school before gohan showed up, every guy in the school was drooling over videl because of who her father was. Gohan was the first guy videl liked because he wasn’t head over heels right away after finding out who she was. Also the fact that it took her figuring out about him and what he is about made him fascinating to her. As a bonus, Appearently being satan’s daughter allows her access to someone’s file to see where they live. Her cutting her hair is her attempt at showing gohan she truest likes him. I am 99.99999% sure no other guy in the school could of gotten her to cut her hair. Goten also helped by showing her ki, that is when she realized gohan doesn’t treat her with disrespect
Lets clarify bunch of confusion introduced by the English dub. When they are eating Videl says "Thank you for inviting me for a dinner." Chichi says "It can't be helped. We can't let you alone be without food." There is no mention of 'lady friends', because Chichi isn't still thrilled about Videl. Videl starts to eat and then says "It's good. Way better than our cook." Chichi "Cook? Your parents are running a restaurant or what?" Videl "No, cook we hired for our house." Chichi "You say your family has hired a cook. Does that mean your family is rich? How many rooms does your house has? 10? 20?" Videl "Hm, how many I wonder?" Chichi is intensely waiting for an answer. Videl says "around 50, maybe?" Chichi is shocked "50! You are very rich, aren't you!" Videl doesn't replay and eats saying "Really delicious". Chichi turns to Gohan and asks "When are you going to get married you two?" Gohan spits his rice all over Goten. Goten asks innocently "Brother are you getting married to Videl?" Gohan just says "No, no, no!" Videl just looks at Gohan and says nothing.
You two are the best. I can be a third wheeler and watch this show with you guys. However, I’m a super nerd with DBZ but I can keep the convo post-episode.
Not going to lie, it's wholesome seeing Vegeta concerned when he punched Trunks square in the face out of reflex. That's not a reaction you see on him often, and in his own way of apologizing he kept up his end of the deal without a fuss.
"Naturally it's a super saiyan bargain sale" is still hilarious lol. I'm excited to see the reaction to the next episode! Also, I see the Itachi wallpaper back there. Naruto next????
In the case of Goten it wasn't much about Ki control but the fact he has sooo much Ki that flying was a breeze for him but videl had very little which made it difficult for her to fly.
I think that Goten LOOKING so completely like Goku as a child made Chi Chi nostalgic and she kind of just KNEW that Goten would turn out like his father. Especially when you consider his level of innocence and wonder with everything around him. Goten virtually IS Goku all over again so giving him basic martial arts skills just makes sense. Also I am going out on a limb and guessing that "playing" with Trunks has helped him far more than anything Chi Chi would have done.
I love How Videl only gets angry because of herself. She likes Gohan a little and so the moment he says “your hair might be better short” she takes it as “you’d look better with short hair” and then when Gohan says nah not what I meant she’s pissed. Girl really got mad that he wasn’t trying to Rizz her up.
It’s amazing how relationships parallel in this franchise, Goku and Chichi and GOHAN and Videl. Ox king was wealthy and on of the strongest characters of his time (outside of Roshi). Both women are accomplished competitors in martial arts (you really think Goku didn’t teach his wife anything about energy control?). Also both Goten and Trunks SSJ transformations are my favorite Jaw Dropping moments in DBZ. Oh and Chichi may not be a gold digger but she is very much about the come up (financially). Think about it she has always been about Goku competing and winning tournaments because it provides income but he doesn’t care about money just the thrill of a good fight.
I've thought about why Goten and Trunks can turn into SSJ so young. It could be traced back to the SSJ transformation itself. The SSJ transformation must alter the saiyan's biological makeup on a genetic level. That's why Gohan wasn't able to transform as a child. Gohan was conceived when Goku hadn't triggered SSJ yet, and so his genetic makeup was different. Then, by the time Goten was conceived, Goku's genetic makeup had already been altered. Same goes for Vegeta and Trunks. It also explains why Future Trunks wasn't able to transfrom right away. Future Trunks must've been conceived before Future Vegeta had triggered his first SSJ transformation. Also, Gohan was born with a tail whereas Goten and Trunks were born without it. Gohan inherited his old man's default saiyan genes, whereas Goten and Trunks inherited their fathers' new and improved SSJ genes. It's all logical.
It's S Cells. They accumulate in the Saiyan body through training. Saiyans with a calm heart and gentle nature naturally have more S Cells. You build them up over time, and eventually when you have enough, the SSJ form is unlocked. Toriyama explained this in an interview a couple years back.
I saw a meme once about this episode saying, "Screw this episode for making us all think we can fly! Do they have any idea how long us kids just sat there focusing our energy!"
Yeah chi chi is full of gold lust. She keeps pushing goku to work while she does nothing all day. It gets worse in super. They get millions of zenie an are set for life and this witch says she spent it all. How? On what? Who knows. I don't know how she went from that sweet little girl to this horrible person.
I feel like the stronger Goku and Vegeta became they passed down their powers to their sons. Like when Gohan was born Goku didn't even know he was a sayian. Now years later and he became a super sayian then goten was born. Passing his strength to his son.
Baris, I’ve watched your emotions with the father-son scenes throughout, I myself as a young dad of 35 currently, with a 6 year old and a 4 year old two boys, it’s a handful. I find I draw off a lot of lessons from my own father, and draw lessons and discipline from him also. Goku was a great carefree father, something I need to work on also, as pressures of work, family and relationships build up on your plate. If you ever have children (I think you both will be fine parents) you’ll come up with your own lessons and strategies for rewards and punishments when they do the wrong thing. Also remember that vegeta would of learnt his fathering off his own cold father king vegeta, every generation gets a chance to be better than the last. 🙌
Goku's journey to become a Super Sayan took an entire first show and two sagas of DBZ. He trained with God and learned freakin Kaio Ken times whatever, and still fighting Vegita with it wasn't good enough. Vegita also died, but he never had a chance to train in the afterlife. He was stuborn to be the best and that drove him to push himself to the limit. He almost killed himself to become a Super Sayan. Future Trunks got his rage SSJ transformation very early on but he was living in a world dominated by evil androids where every day was a struggle for survival. He was training with Gohan and was taking care of his mom trying to live up to the stories about Goku and his Father. Still he was older than Gohan when he has his first SSJ transformation in the hyperbolic time chamber. Last but not least we have Gohan. From the very first episode untill the end of Cell saga he was like a hidden main protagonist of the show. Originally he was supposed to take over Goku as the main hero. And that would've been cool. This is like the natural way of life. Our parents are passing away so we can carry their torch for them and pass it on to our children. Speaking of childreen we have Goten, and Trunks. Clearly two side characters made for younger audience of the show. And they just like that achieved the level of SSJ because the show decided to strip itself out of logic and just go on with it taking a massive dump on its past. Regardless I still like to watch the Buu saga. It's got some nice moments, and nostalgia is definitely there, but the power levels are ruined to the point of no return further we go with the episodes, wheater if its DB GT or Super. For no real reason... Imagine how much better it would be if they explained it with a dragon ball wish. Anyways. In a few episodes the most pointless transformation of all will be ruined as well. PS: Love your reaction guys. Can't wait for the next episodes. Take care.
There is energy produced by the body. The energy surrounding the body can be felt. You two should face each other, put your hands up, palms out towards each other, palm to palm but leave an inch of space and learn to feel each other's energy signature. You will be surprised what you can pick up on.
Oh, as a kid, whenever we drove 70mph+, I used to hold my hands out the window and pretend I was Kamehameha-ing, and pretend that the air resistance was the power of the blast leaving my hands. I used to get in so much trouble 😂 Good times
Baris, you're not the only one who has tried "bringing out one's ki". but, if you think about it(in a funny way), every time you go across a carpet you build up static electricity, then accidentally zap someone, it's like a ki blast, but very tiny, lol
I remember as a kid thinking that Yamcha is arguably the only human in the group, Krillen has no nose and Tien has 3 eyes so they’re mutants, Chiaotzu is a Chinese vampire and everyone else is either alien or part alien.
Here is one interesting thing about Trunks and Goten. For one, they were born very close to each other, and have a very close relationship, much like brothers. And it is implied that they do fight together and they do have (as saiyans) a competitive interest in surpassing each other, much like Vegeta and Goku. And another thing, that is very comparable to today's age, when Goku or Vegeta were young they thought of the "Super Saiyan" as a legend, something of dreams that might not exist. But in Trunks and Goten's time that is no longer something imaginary, they know that SS do exist and are real and everyone that trains enough can get to that level. The same way kids and babies today learn to use cellphones and ipads so quick and adapt to technology so fast. That is because they were born with it existing so for them is as natural as air or water unlike us or older people that were introduced to technology as something new.
Haha Barris I think we have all tried to do this in our lives. Even today if I am doing something hard that requires physical intensity, like working out, I still sometimes will think to myself, “kaio-ken!”.
"if Krillin can fly, anyone can" Madison just be nonchalantly slamming the guy so hard. Also the wife and I love watching you guys, the sub has been overdue but finally given. Much support!
chi chi and videl are too parallel. They both grew up rich, both of their dad's are very strong, they know martial arts, both there mothers are gone, and most importantly, they ended up marrying strong guys.

Of course we all did try to grather our energy in this way or in Kamehameha wave :D I remember us yelling out: "Yeah, I can feel something! I think I'm doing it! Have you seen my veins poping out?! I must be doing it right!" Never ending screaming competitions and trying to turn into Super Saiyan xD All that happen to everyone who grew up with Dragon Ball 😁💪🏻👊🏻 We went even further with my friends and recreated all the battles fighting in half-contact. Those who were baby-crys ended up as best characters because they couldn't take punch and we did out battles how we though should've went thrugh, which means no standing on the side and watching! I was usually a villain because I could take some beating and my upbringing was almost the same as Trunks but there was no park as reward 😅
Dragonball Z is the only anime I ever really watched. Vaguely watched YuGiOh, and sporadic episodes of pokemon and digimon; but these were the childhood ones late 90s/00s that played. DBZ is the only one I consistently come back to (hence why I found you through recommended videos 😂) and Naruto, Bleach and the rest were always influenced by Toriyama and DBZ so I didn't see the point. I might watch it alongside you for the first time 😂.

You're a disgrace to the Saiyan race!"
Gohan was just naturally gifted.
Vegita wasn't SSJ when Trunks was conceived. I don't think he was at any rate...
the buu arc is one of my favorites. cant wait till yall react to one of my favorite fights in this arc. theres like 3-4 of them that are awesome.
Me back then: “This is ridiculous. This gotten get anymore sillier!”
Me before Tournament of Power begin, and sees Tingling on Back method: “I’m out.”
What i like about Kid Trunks is when hes not around Vegeta, he acts like this tough rowdy kid that wants to fight but when hes with Vegeta he acts like the kid that he his and just wants to spend time with his dad. You would think it would be the other way around but it works
19:49 i liked her long hair as well
To me I always took the videl scene about the hair as sorta a test for gohan.
When I was younger I literally tried to learn how to fly because of this episode 🤣
You're joking right?😑
4:15 I think any DBZ fan at the time this aired tried it too. I tried it secretly then learned that my friends and my cousin tried it too :D.
Trunks surprised Vegeta, that punch was more of a reflex.
Always like these episodes also it’s funny cause “goten and videl” is the same voice actor 😂
goes without saying that we all tried to do moves from this show countless times
@Dr.S Bruh I'm not saying ki control has nothing to do with it I'm saying it was easier for Goten because he has much more Ki then videl
@@ritster21 ik it's both I'm just saying saying it was easier for Goten because he had much more Ki in him
I think that Goten LOOKING so completely like Goku as a child made Chi Chi nostalgic and she kind of just KNEW that Goten would turn out like his father.
Girl really got mad that he wasn’t trying to Rizz her up.
every time i see Trunks go Super, and seeing Vegeta's reaction cracks me up every time, lol!
We don't know if Goten and Trunks were born with tails or not. We also don't know when future Trunks first became a super saiyan.
The actual reason given by toriyana: it was funny
It's S Cells. They accumulate in the Saiyan body through training. Saiyans with a calm heart and gentle nature naturally have more S Cells. You build them up over time, and eventually when you have enough, the SSJ form is unlocked.
Toriyama explained this in an interview a couple years back.
Makes no sense future trunks was already ssj in the manga they part in the anime special was filler
@@pc_buildyb0i935 Toriyama must have been high when he said that.
It was nice of Gohan and Goten not to eat like Saiyans in front of Videl 😂
If Hercule learned to control his energy he wouldn't be terrible
I saw a meme once about this episode saying, "Screw this episode for making us all think we can fly! Do they have any idea how long us kids just sat there focusing our energy!"
6:19 it actually was him you will see in dragon ball super😂
"No more tears! It's time to have fun!"
- Vegeta
Yeah chi chi is full of gold lust. She keeps pushing goku to work while she does nothing all day. It gets worse in super. They get millions of zenie an are set for life and this witch says she spent it all. How? On what? Who knows. I don't know how she went from that sweet little girl to this horrible person.
Goten meeting Goku will be epic for her I can't wait!
This is literally perfect timing
This is one of my fav episodes i love the way gohan and videl look here they are so cute together
This is the stereotypical Japanese family here absolutely no secrets or boundaries 😂 love it
Fun fact, Goten and Videl have the same voice actress.
I feel like the stronger Goku and Vegeta became they passed down their powers to their sons. Like when Gohan was born Goku didn't even know he was a sayian. Now years later and he became a super sayian then goten was born. Passing his strength to his son.
That isn’t how biology works.
David! Thanks for commenting! I just read this entire comment out loud to Madison 😁👍 best of luck on parenting! Hope the kids are watching DBZ 😎
Regardless
I still like to watch the Buu saga.
When Vegeta said the quote "Super Saiyan Bargain Sale" count how many Sayians/Hybrid Saiyans can transform
This is how Baris will train his son. Vegeta style
It’s crazy to think chichi never learned how to fly
Oh, as a kid, whenever we drove 70mph+, I used to hold my hands out the window and pretend I was Kamehameha-ing, and pretend that the air resistance was the power of the blast leaving my hands. I used to get in so much trouble 😂 Good times
Same here!! 😂😂
"Even a toddler can do it." Oh my God what an adorable line
Baris, you're not the only one who has tried "bringing out one's ki". but, if you think about it(in a funny way), every time you go across a carpet you build up static electricity, then accidentally zap someone, it's like a ki blast, but very tiny, lol
I remember as a kid thinking that Yamcha is arguably the only human in the group, Krillen has no nose and Tien has 3 eyes so they’re mutants, Chiaotzu is a Chinese vampire and everyone else is either alien or part alien.
8:26 2 tons each (4,000 lbs.) x 4 = 16,000 lbs., then 10 tons each (20,000 lbs.) x 4= 80,000 lbs.
It's a Super Saiyan bargain sale is the best line of the series.
I tried that energy thing every time I watch this episode
Me too bro. I also tried going SSJ3 a few times in the past but ended up shitting my pants. Don’t recommend it to anybody!
@@BarisTeeAnimeReactions Well you can try Ultra Instinct. That's actually possible. Bruce Lee did it and talked about it a lot!
@@BarisTeeAnimeReactions lol relatable
@@BarisTeeAnimeReactions 🤣😂🤣
18:41 considering what vegeta will let us know later on this is very rare for vegeta to do
You guys are great. It feels very refreshing to watch some genuine enthusiasm and reactions to my all time favorite anime. SO wholesome. DBZ FOR LIFE✨
Videl is all of us attempting to fly. Stretching out on our toes 🤣
Super Sayan on Z was so majestic...
Much support!
keep it up love seeing people enjoy dbz for the first time great videos yall ‼️
chi chi and videl are too parallel. They both grew up rich, both of their dad's are very strong, they know martial arts, both there mothers are gone, and most importantly, they ended up marrying strong guys.
It's kinda funny when Goten says it's a waste of time teaching Videl to fly because they're both voiced by the same woman.
Vegeta hitting Trunks is no different than Goku hitting Gohan. And literally kicking the crap out of gohan.
2:12 Videl seen it at the Cell game video's...
4:10 its true we all did that, but in real life its called chi from the chinese back from way idk, 1000 years ago, its called meditation. deprives you of all your problems so you are calm. so to ruin this comment, smoke weed and be calm unless you have the ability to be calm yourself. :)
Of course we all did try to grather our energy in this way or in Kamehameha wave :D I remember us yelling out: "Yeah, I can feel something! I think I'm doing it! Have you seen my veins poping out?! I must be doing it right!"
Never ending screaming competitions and trying to turn into Super Saiyan xD All that happen to everyone who grew up with Dragon Ball 😁💪🏻👊🏻
We went even further with my friends and recreated all the battles fighting in half-contact.
Those who were baby-crys ended up as best characters because they couldn't take punch and we did out battles how we though should've went thrugh, which means no standing on the side and watching! I was usually a villain because I could take some beating and my upbringing was almost the same as Trunks but there was no park as reward 😅
5:55-spit-take? Would that be a hotline to call if situations like the one Gohan was there in arose?
Wait until Madison sees the way Vegeta treats Bulla. LOL
hi, that frog was capt. ginyu
7:00 you forgot tien... then again his 3 eyes and 4 arms make him seem something else lmao
This was a fun episode/reaction 😂
I did to as a kid. Even throwing cds thru the room screaming Destructo disk
Threw
LMAO
4:15 yo dead ass I was like I don’t know if I should drop a comment on this video that I really tried this as a kid until you mentioned it 😂
Dragonball Z is the only anime I ever really watched.
