    Distance between your face and screen seriously made a huge difference.
    I only found out I was miles better than I thought just by increasing the height of my chair, I thought I unlocked some new sense so I could read much better lol

    when you mentioned tip 5 it made me realise why I feel like I'm playing "differently" during ranked matches, I'm more conscious of the notes I tap while during solo and co op I'll usually daydream or play more sloppily

    You really called me out on the last one 😭 I know to alot of veteran rhythm game players this is like "Duh, obviously" but pjsk is my first so i struggle real bad with randomly tapping, and not lifting my fingers high enough... leading to bad taps and even misses. Keeping my thumbs straight and steady makes it so much easier, even if it's taking an embarrassing amount of self discipline to not do it 🥹 Thanks for the tip! 🤍

      if you’re an index player then use many fingers for a slider

    • @suolucarim_
      @suolucarim_ 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +15

      this was the case for me for months, but then one day i magically got better at them! so mainly i’d just say practice practice practice. don’t intentionally shy away from songs that have them, no matter how hard they might be at first.
      if it’s just not working, something i did was overcompensate on the distance i moved my fingers. often times i didn’t move my finger far left or right enough so i missed the note (especially since a lot of them are curvy). try screen recording the chart/filming yourself playing it, and see what part of the slider you’re missing. then, play the song again and try to correct it by going further left or right than you think you need.
      sorry for the paragraph lol but hope this helps.

    • @laoloserr
      @laoloserr  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +18

      A lot of great advice here.
      Personally for me I notice that because of where i’m looking at the screen(im trained to look at the very top of the lane), my fingers arent moving in time with the slider
      So for tricky sections I have to tell myself to move my fingers earlier than my reflexes want them to.

    • @friendlessfellow
      @friendlessfellow 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      This is what I do:
      just place 2 (or more) fingers on the general area of the slider. this might not go well in append or high level master charts but otherwise this worked good for me. if you only play with 2 indexes this might be a bit hard to get used to and if youre a thumb player then 💀

  • @onetime1337
    @onetime1337 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    a very specific tip what worked wonders for me was: as an veteran vsrg player,who is used to the timings being very strict (15-20ms marv timings). knowing that project sekai has 33ms timing window for perfects(yes some notes have slightly larger,but this is the most common window)helped a lot,this allows you to estimate how far off from a perfect you are when you get a great.
    you can also use this to fine tune your offset and scrollspeed,by playing songs on NORMAL . since if youre not APing those,one of those is very off.

  • @seb3082
    @seb3082 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

    These are some good tips! But my best tip is learn how to play using 4 or more fingers. Ever since I started the game I have been using 4 fingers and it has allowed me to AP many master 31s. However if you don’t play on iPad it might be a bit more difficult but it is still possible to use 4 fingers. Yeah so I honestly highly recommend it as it is basically necessary for high level play. If you can acc using 4 fingers you’re basically golden because you can just autopilot and high acc on like most charts in the game aside from level 34s and above.

    Tip #2, Your app will take some RAM to run, and (I guess that) if you leave it running for too long it will take up more RAM than usual, because every program needs to stock some temporary files in the RAM to function as it's 1000 times faster to get it from there rather than your disk (so the program runs fast). If you leave it open for too long it will eventually eat up all your RAM and lag, and then crash.
    Tip#3, It's never recommended to charge while using your phone because charging induces heat, and your CPU exudes heat while doing a task, and when there's too much heat your device will tank the speed of your CPU/GPU to get it to cool down, that's why your play will be more laggy. Also it will degrade your battery faster (because of heat).
    To improve in accuraccy imo your need to have good offset, and listen more to the music than relying on the visual cues of the chart, also Tip #4&5.
    You could also play on 120Hz devices for iOS : an iPhone Pro (13 or higher) or iPad Pro (11 inch all gens, or 12.9 inch gen 2 or higher, but only for rhythm games it's overkill) or for Android, most flagship phones will do it, just check specs on GSM Arena, I personally use Red Magic phones since it's affordable for the specs (horrendous cameras though).

    i'm a thumb player who plays on my cracked af phone but it works for me, i can consistently fc 30 and under and got like four 31 fcs lol (more jump more, alter ego, shinjinrui, and hiasobi) but i'm a very agressive and sometimes sloppy player (my friends commented on how hard i usually tap the notes lol) and i want to improve my accuracy bc there are lots of fcs that keep evading me, i don't really care about aps (ik i'm never gonna get them anyways plus no rewards) and usually i just kind of feel the rhythm of the song when i'm not quite sure how to read something and it works sometimes but i think tip #5 will help me get more fcs!! meteor pulse i'm coming for you

    Heres a semi professional explanation for u:
    Essentially if you keep the game open at all times even if the screen is off the game's ram (Random Access Memory) will not clear, which means all that temp data thr you loaded from your previous songs will stay on your ram. Ram is different from storage, or your primary memory, and ram stores temp data like area convo and song analysis. The atuff u dont need after you've seen it once. If it keeps piling up eventually the game doesnt have enough ram to keep everything in sync, so closing the game will clear the pjsk's ram usage.

    For me, I simply kept trying to ap a specific song and then moved on to ap another after I aped that. After aping like 5 songs on expert, the number of greats I got went from 15-20 to 0-5. I guess trying to ap things really improves your accuracy

    Any rhythm games are applied this like bang dream (my first rhythm game). My note speed from 10.7(new to the game)to 11.2. this was my years of playing its because I feel the note speed is more slower and the result is too many great/good taps. I didnt change my offset tho it tries to delay or advance your music unless you're using bt headphone.

    Hi! Wanted to ask a tip,
    With my current set up, I get very few greats (2-10), but all of them are "late", should i change my settings? Or leave it as it is

    • @seb3082
      @seb3082 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      are they flicks that are registering late? If so you might wanna flick faster as a slow flick might register late… if not then you might want to make your offset more negative. It’s also good to be conscious of unintentionally slowing down.

    do you have any tips for playing with more than two fingers? when i started playing project sekai, i was a thumb player, but i’m slowly adjusting myself to use my index fingers. however, it’s still kind of hard for me to also use my middle fingers. i was wondering if you have any tips for up getting used to it or any chart recommendations? 😅
    edit: just to clarify, i have trouble with deciding(?) when to tap with my index or middle fingers depending on how close the notes are to the edges

    This is off topic, but how do u know the difference between a large single note and a double note that is very close together? Sometimes the double notes hard to recognize quickly enough so I accidentally click it with 1 finger.

    • @laoloserr
      @laoloserr  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The easiest thing to do in that situation is to just treat both as a chord (multiple notes).
      As long as both fingers are in time when you press it, you wont be penalized by using two fingers
      But as you move onto higher level charts, playing like that might accidentally trigger another note coming down immediately after.
      So in that case its important to start studying. And memorizing certain sections of songs

    Lately, I have had some serious lag. My screen freezes/doesn't respond for 0.5-2s mid song on EVERY SINGLE SONG. It gives me around 5> misses. I don't know what timing I should have because I always have equal Late/fast at 0.0 timing, but I still have lag. I have good or above average wifi. I do restart pjsk daily. I don't understand, lol!
