We've just stumbled across your channel (as you do). We are sitting in our motorhome at Salisbury C&CC site. We walked to Old Sarum today and plan to walk into Salisbury tomorrow. Thanks for the directions!

I was born in Salisbury and at 6 months old moved within walking distance across the fields to stonehenge where i spent 16 years before moving to Hampshire. It was so much better back in the 60s when you could go to all them places for free. The cathedral, old sarum, stonehenge . It would have been great to have a motorhome back in those days in the area😢😅
Hi Ron, We can just imagine the freedom with a motorhome back in the 60s as things have definitely got harder.
It seems everything that once was free has now got some sort of charge. We will go back to Old Sarum and check it out as we wouldn’t have had time that day before they closed. It's a lovely area.

We have a Ford Swift Voyager 594, which is 7.85m long. We got a recovery breakdown policy with the RAC, who now covers any size motorhomes.
The RAC also included twelve months membership to the Camping & Caravan Club.

When Lee mentioned texture of food I just wondered if he can taste?
I know he can't smell, I ask this as last year I had a traumatic brain injury which has left me unable to smell or taste, I just wondered thanks both xx
Hi Chrissey, Thank you very much Jodie had a great birthday and it was a great campsite.
Unfortunately for Lee after his head injury his smell went which has affected his taste. We found out after that smell is a big part of taste.

It took me (Lee) about 6 months to realise I had lost my sense and it's been a hard learning curve ever since. The food I like and dislike has changed even what I drink. On a good note bad smells are no longer bad but if i could have my senses back that would be amazing.
Hopefully you may get your senses back as I was told it's possible up to a year unfortunately for me it's gone past that and this is my new normal. I hope it's not the same for you ❤️
@lifes4touring I so appreciate your help, it's been very hard to accept, I'm getting there and realised I've been very lucky (could have been permanently disabled etc) but it's 6 months tomorrow since I fell from height and landed on concrete, throughout the day I've been getting chemical smells (nasty one's) but they don't think I'll get my sences back, if I could choose one it would be smell too as a safety thing, I can't even remember what things used to smells like now weird I know.
