@Rob C. IMHO the Mazda 121 is peak '90's "bubble" design, and someday I will have one (not at the top of the list though, hahaha). Funny thing is that today I was waiting in a carpark (for my elderly mother whom was at an appointment) for about an hour and saw two bubble 121's come and go in that time (this is not typical though). they were pretty popular back in their day, and clearly, there are a few still in regular use here in Australia. Cheers!

Great to see the Y10 in there! Mainly because I had two in my younger days, a 1.0 FIRE in slightly-faded "baked bean orange" (think of the coulour of the sauce, not the beans) and then a white 1.3 GTie with a matching tailgate. Meanwhile, in the latest issue of Classic. Retro. Modern., Gavin Braithwaite-Smith has been wondering out loud if its successor - the 1995 Lancia Y - is a classic. Brought back memories and made me realise how much fun we had from 2000-2005 when we had a first UK generation (therefore LHD) smart and participated in events like that with 30-50 other smart owners. In 2003 we changed to a RHD cabrio, but moving the wheel to the other side ruined the car.
Friends had a heavily modified version which did in excess of 100mph and I remember a member buying the first UK Crossblade. I'd have a Roadster Cabrio Brabus in my dream garage.
About 6 years ago tried to relive the dream and bought a new Forfour manual and it was terrible! Turbo failed after 10 months so we got rid.

    A 2 door Mk2 Granny!
I've only ever seen one other before. It was iwbed by a German family that owned a holiday house in my home town. They would either come over in the Granny or a Taunus Esttate.

Overload of so many interesting cars! 😍
I think the Renault 15s and 17s have such lovely styling. Particularly from the front.
Re: 1990s Mitsubishi Sigma. I think from memory the hi tech saloons were Japanese built whereas the estates were Australian built.

You know, I really like the Renault 16. Dad had a TX in his Renault days, and Floride... sadly those aren't alive anymore.

I remember them mostly through a Matchbox one a friend must have had. Made the real ones really catch my eye when I happened to see an example.

Great video (I'm still watching) @11:23 That campervan rear looks a lot like a Starcraft Campervan made using a Ford Cortina of all things, I wonder if it's the same company?

Yes. It has a very similar vibe. Perhaps one copied the other?
