I’ve finally finished the game getting all tier Xs and now I’m slowly buying all the fun tanks again (T49, Bulldog, Caernarvon, T-34-2). And the IS-8 is definitely next on my list
@@NCA2212 yeah that and the KV-2, all the fun ones. I’m getting tanks now that have different game mechanics to make the gameplay interesting. That’s why I love autoreloaders, especially the new Italian TDs

I used to love the IS8, in which I have on of my highest WR, under its previous version. I'll give these changes a try but am not sure I'm gonna like them. I liked playing it like a heavium.
It is literally has similar DPM IS-4 now. IS-7 lines is much much easier to grind as well. For some reason I have no problem with it, but it deserve this buff. But quite disappointed that the hullarmor doesn’t get a buff too.

I just came back to blitz after 7 so months - and I remember when I was grinding the IS-7 on my f2p account I enjoyed the IS8 a lot. After coming back I heard it got buffed so I bought it back and oh boi... I didnt even know what was buffed I just heard it on the WG discord and yeah - the difference is real. I still play it as a Heavium though, although I now know that if I need to go the heavy route - I wont die in 20 seconds.
Is 8 is what a heavy should be … and the is 7 has been nerffed into oblivion and is one of my least favorite tanks …. It was at one time the best of the best
IS-7 is overrated, I dunno why people still recommend it as one of your 1st tier X's when they are so many better options out there. It has nothing going for it apart from the armor which isn't even that great if you have the skills to aim well and decent pen, it isn't even among the best armor at tier X. Also, the trash pen, mediocre accuracy and relatively low dpm the IS-7 has kills it even more. You'll only do well in it if the enemy is fighting on flat ground and are stupid, but since this is the hulldown meta, people rarely take the fight on flat ground, most opt to go on ridges and hills which the IS-7 struggles at.
@@RodneyWoTB At least not on the armor, but on accuracy, dpm, pen, it is way *above* the IS-7 on those stats. The gun is what makes the IS-8 more enjoyable, imagine having only 303mm of premium pen, only 2.5K dpm with gun rammer, combined with that mediocre-close to poor gun handling.

Lol, the IS-7 with rammer is just an example to show that even with the rammer it still loses out to the IS-8 even in DPM, but lets not forget it loses to accuracy, reload time, and especially pen. The alpha dmg doesn't even help it much at this point since the difference is only 40 dmg, and with an IS-7 running calli against an IS-8 running rammer(its pen is very good anyway), the IS-8 could reload almost 2 seconds quicker and gain almost 500dpm over the IS-7.

Fucking tank is horrible , not really fast, no frontal armour at all, meds penn you easy, let alone the heavies , they dont even have to aim. Yeah, strong turret, but only 5 degree depression . I don't know .

1:2O They nerfed the speed by 5km/h in a previous update. I kinda miss that 50km speed cause I like the heavium play style

Heavium was better. At first it was diffcult to play with, but after some „training” it became a beast in the right hands.
The IS3 was shit last time I saw yet Pantouf implied it was good. Did it get a considerable buff at some point?
No but it’s still good. The peek-a-boo play style works near perfect on that tank.
