Nice review Rodney, I have had my Strega for 3 months, they are great machines. This is my first espresso machine, I used to fill coffee to the rim of the filter but have started dosing 16 grams for a double shot, I find l16 grams is about right.
Excellent review. About to buy a lever espresso machine. I already own the GS3 and a La Marzocco Mini and am excited to have one of these as my home unit.
Just arrived on the little pallet my Bezzera, I went thru 1/2 of bag of beans trying to figure out the right grind, the handle so far wants to shoot up and does not slowly come up on its own, working grind like sugar but still cant seem to get that part down, I over ground a batch to the point I was pulling an oil out of the coffee and the handle was pretty much stuck down, so I know based on this correct grind is the issue, this has been a challenge
hey did you get any better? i want to buy this machine but this is a hang up for me. what grinder did you have? i have a sette 270 wondering if it's good enough for this
I have mastered it * 😎 & I love it I bought a ROK hand mill grinder I started buying coffee from a local roaster only ! turns out coffee after 3 weeks starts losing its crem, I stick to this roaster this hand held grinder no more over grinding ans.my.coffee is great my son also grinds his own * uses it with no problem like sugar same grind consistency but... make sure you keep a hold of the handle when you purge the water it will snap up fast without coffee providing resistance, aka after it heats up & if it's been sitting, pull down to activate the pump so it purges its old water both hands especially a woman 👩 the snap back is scary if you lose your grip, slowly allow the handle to come.all the way up * its ready to use no grocery store bean , local roasters are every where once.i started looking, we have become great friends he will say we grinded.on Tuesday ¡ good when they supply local espresso companies fresh is best!!

great guy with a great machine :) thx for the video...
In US you buy special handle and bottomless portafilter at 1st-Line. Definitely have to pony for those with this machine.

Great video and great machine. Are you from Navan? I m in Swords but I m italian, just got myself a brand new europiccola :)
Same question as Scotty. Where did you get the special handle? Is that a custom model ?
I know I’m late to the game, but wonderful video, good sir.
I was wondering after your shot was full, why did you pull away and let 1/2 a shot go in the drip tray, is that last part mostly water?
the last drops contain the most caffeine
Love the name of this machine :D
where did you buy this one? I see other models that do not have the handles you speak of.
have one at home. great video!
do you know how we can descale the strega
@@vasiliskourahanis5965 no descaling is required for this machine
