    I visited this plane many times in Edmunston. Great video, thanks for sharing.

    So good to see this aircraft being given the attention it deserves. It was such a sad sight in Edmunston where I last saw KB 882.

    Very pleased that it will represent the postwar configuration and paint scheme. I saw it that way when I was a kid

    Fantastic! Thank you for this video.. I am trying to gather as much info as I can, so I can build a 1/48 RCAF Post War Lanc. Among other Lancasters.

    That’s a terrific video with commentary. Thank you very much. If memory serves me correctly, I recall staring at that particular aircraft while driving by in the late summer of 1967 on our way to Expo ‘67. I was 15 years old at the time and wanted to stop and look at her.but our timeline was short so…. This is 24 February ‘24….any chance of an update just to let us know how close you are to having it ready for 1 April ‘24? Thank you ALL again for your hard work. Mac

    I don't want to be a complainer or to disrespect all the work being done but as one of the few remaining Lancasters that have actually flown combat operations, should it not be restored to look as it did on ops?

      @@murrayhelmer8941 I actually didn't know that until yesterday, lol. However, I do believe that 882 is the only one that has the postwar extended nose, so it makes sense to retain the postwar markings.

    Hi, typo error on the aircrafts missions. 24th march 1945 should read Bottrop not Bottorp, I believe.

    6 .7 MILLION $$$ spent so far Holy crows IS this intended to be airworthy If so I must ask is it worth it you could build a brand new replica from the ground up for not much . More this is a case of diminishing returns

      We have 4 lancs painted in ww2 colours in this country. It is very important that this aircraft is painted like she is to commemorate her post war service

    • @murrayhelmer8941
      @murrayhelmer8941 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Peter.w that’s ridiculous. The airplanes whole purpose for being built was to fight in the war. Which it did. Not painting it in wartime colours is a slap on the face to not only the crews who risked their lives in her. But also the men and women who built it. Anything post war is moot!!

    • @Peter.w
      @Peter.w ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@murrayhelmer8941 your entitled to your opinion but she is fine in her postwar colors as she is the last one unchanged from that time and actually flew longer in postwar than wartime plus there were several postwar lancs lost with their crews so it is inportant to remember this time period.
