As I was listening to their stories, one thing struck me the most--the desire to be wanted, appreciated, loved. Many of us are desperate to fulfill this desire that we compromise our values and do whatever it takes to satisfy it. Unfortunately, no human or material intervention can satisfy the deepest longings of our hearts. Only GOD can do that. “You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in you.” -St. Augustine
I'm heterosexual, and decided to watch this due to a online group where one of the members is homo, and is attempting to find Jesus Christ with all the insecurities that entrails; this documentary being highly recommended for a starting point. Nothing beats >30 years of experience, people who lived it, their sentimentality, struggles and how they made the conscious effort to leave a, dare I say, hedonist lifestyle for something more. This documentary reverberates and can reverberate within everyone.
I will ALWAYS love this documentary. Still moves me to tears after all this time. The stories were so real and honest, and I found that movies don't quite have the same appeal to me as they have before. Real stories of people trying to walk towards the Lord is where it's at. God bless all who were involved in this and reading this comment. Praise be to God! "Contentment comes with the sense of peace and wellbeing. And I have a sense about my life that... I am safe and.... I am home." Sniff.
God's beauty is beyond measure. The good that he does to Souls strengthens my hope and faith in him. Makes me hunger for him more and more. Amazingly, he fills my cup and it continuously overflows! Blessed be Our Lord Jesus Christ, his kindness, his tenderness, his generosity, and his mercy towards all of us sinners. Thank you for sharing your story with us. May the Lord continue to bless and guide the souls living with same-sex attractions.
That was very powerful. Thank you to everyone's courage, humility and the grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ and His Mother Mary. May Margot RIP. I have a similar story.
My priest recommended this movie to me, and I’m so grateful to him. As someone who has struggled with homosexuality, I can really see how God works in everything to save us. I’m only 20 years old, and I’m about to start serving as a choir member at the church soon. I’ve been in gay relationships before, even one that lasted 3.5 years, but I always wanted my boyfriends to go to heaven, and I hoped we could be in God’s presence together. Now there’s someone I can’t stop thinking about - an Italian guy, but not in a sexual way at all. I remember us praying the rosary together, and I guess that’s what always made him stand out to me. I still pray for him all the time. We've parted ways, but I’m happy to see that God has created a path that could lead him to heaven. Please, God, help me. I’ve been in tears as I write this. Please help me live a faithful life ✝️⛪
In New York in the 1980s and 1990s when I lived there, you could not really talk about "it." "It" was AIDS, but also the who, what, where, when, and how of AIDS. Now you can't talk about it anywhere in the United States. I knew people who died and who were living with HIV. These were not happy people. But as I say, you can't talk about it in any meaningful sense in most situations. This film is courageous given where we are as a country. The film "Philadelphia" is not an honest story. Moving, but not really the truth. The Archbishop of New York, John Cardinal O'Connor, set up an AIDS ward at a Catholic hospital. He visited every week, but was vilified by the yearly Pride parade on Fifth Avenue which stopped in front of the St. Patrick's Cathedral to mock him in the most graphic ways. (The police were instructed to "stand down.) Inside, at the end, his face was bloated from chemo. He was dying from cancer.
This narrative implies that the experience of a few people is sufficient to provide moral direction for all of humanity. The premise established by the film is that the subjects lead lives which are not satisfying and which leave some fundamental human needs unfulfilled (connection, belonging, belief, health, purpose). They then found that purpose by embracing a Catholic ethic. However, in light of the following (and other) counterexamples, the reasoning is at best inconclusive: 1) People who began finding ways to meet these needs by embracing their identities and letting go of religious ideas which had prevented them from doing so 2)People who do not experience these "attractions" but are still dealing with these unfulfilled needs in their lives. While there is no way to prove or falsify the individual experiences of the people in this film, it would be foolish to assume that these experiences create a substantial and convincing argument for embracing a Catholic view of being gay.
Where does it claim to be 'conclusive'. No one hour, 3-persons'-stories, documentary can explain, define, solve, prove, etc the subject of sexuality. The documentary is three people sharing 'their truth', which, at least yesterday, was a highly touted activity. Not when someone's truth leads them to THE way, THE truth, and THE life, aka Jesus Christ? Live and let live. Me thinks Ryan K doth protest too much. But I love you Ryan K. God bless you and yours!

This documentary brought me to tears. There is nothing that God cannot accomplish if He finds a willing heart. ❤️
You said it God!! God bless you Jacqueline Larsen. Keep the prayers going. :)

Even as a heterosexual person I found this beautifully filmed documentary so impactful. Well done to all involved and thanks for uploading it!
Love the documentary. The part where they talk about loneliness was meaningful.
Please pray for a member of my prayer group, he's really struggling with same-sex attraction and doesn't have access to Courage.

God's Mercy is awesome and so are these people who are brave enough to confront their weakness and see God's will

Muito bom! Quem tem Deus nada falta, Só Deus basta! Santa Tereza D,avila
I wonder what happened to the original on TH-cam?
I don’t get the title
Da li nam možete staviti titlove na hrvatskom, njemačkom, slovenskom jeziku?
A stvarno jest dobar film, mozda ima na internetu?
Jesus was speaking for us when He called out to His Father on the cross - why have you foresaken me? We often wonder that.
Eve ate of the fruit but by their fruits we will know them.

This film is even moving for heterosexuals who have lived unchaste lives. The message rings true to anyone who makes an idol out of a person.
