I find that this also applies to relationships with people - it's not always easy, but it should be a net positive.

Ahhhh, Dogs. Pure conduits of love. Read believed Autistics release loads of oxytocin with dogs in particular? I was non verbal (and just a handfull) til age four. Had Mommy and Nanny and 2 to six my dog. German shepherd. He was a net positive. Only found out later he was the neighbors dog, just stuck to me like glue I assumed was mine. Lol. Enjoyed cats most my life. Finally got the perfect dog. She is an ACD. Get to enjoy all that bond, love, is my room mates. Uh oh, he is NPD endlessly envious as she goes ape shit crazy for me. Myself likewise. His hardwired envy wrecks that a bit. Always, often some nonsense in life. I pet sitted a friggin hamster when 9. Cherished guy as survived infanticide. Their fault set up he escaped. They found him bloated, floating in an angel fish aquarium. No more pet sitting. I was not sad for that. Feel blue? Gift yourselves with a dog, magic.
