Contrary to popular believe, the origin of Udubonch Music is not traceable in any village in Igbo land. It is a traditional folk music that originated in Coal City back in the early nineties by underprivileged inner city Teenagers. Their basic instruments at the time were palm wine bottles. The bottles provided the traditional beats that backed the main Singer and his chorus group. As the music evolves, the bottles were replaced by old plastic buckets and other nonconventional instruments, for the mere fact that the Teenagers could not afford the conventional African traditional instruments that the music required. Driven by the zeal and the determination to take the music to a more acceptable level, the Teenagers started venturing into Palm wine drinking parlors that had African traditional instruments. Gradually the music started Spreading, and eventually became fixture in palm wine parlors. Come 27th November, 2017 is another visual of PAMMY UDUBONCH VOL.8 Album titled Kanyi Jee Adoration Marketed & Distributed Nationwide by ZODO MUSIC NIG. Show some love, like and Share.
