    • @aron1332

      Its not the most devastating volcanic eruption. There are volcanoes that had longer volcanic activity. There are volcanoes that killed much more people like Tambora which killed around 90 times greater than Taal or even Toba that could have killed much more people than Tambora. You can't say that Taal is the most disastrous volcanic eruption

    Can anyone explain as this completely baffles me. If magma is melted rock heated to over 2000 degrees how is there a magma chamber? Surely everything would just be melted rock.
    Why is there liquid rock in a rock made chamber.
    I don't get how some rock can be heated to melt it but the surrounding rock doesn't melt.

    • @coliedeekenzo
      @coliedeekenzo 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I understand completely what you are saying! I have also wondered what is holding the magma or is it just deep under everything? What consists of the chamber?

    • @mattphoenix4702
      @mattphoenix4702 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are a lot of factors, and things like chemical reactions, gas content, fractures in the crust etc... but the simplest explanation is that different rock types have different melting points, and that the heat that melts rock is generated by pressure. The further down into the crust you go, the hotter it is, and the inverse is true as well. So when you get close to the surface, the less dense rock can melt while dense rock can remain solid. Sort of like how a limestone cave forms, the water dissolves the limestone but not the other rocks, over time leaving a vast chamber.

    Why they don't 'freeze' the lava? I can't figure out why they don't spray sea water on the lava and freeze it in place so that rest of it just backs up behind the frozen barrier. It was done in Iceland back in 1976 to stop the lava from destroying the city. They have all the water they need to do this so why is it not being done?

    Ini jelas Alkitab! James Cardinal Gibbons, Uskup Agung Baltimore (1877-1921), dalam surat yang ditandatangani. "Apakah Hari Sabtu hari ketujuh menurut Alkitab dan Sepuluh Perintah? Aku menjawab ya. Apakah hari Minggu adalah hari pertama dalam seminggu dan apakah Gereja mengubah hari ketujuh -Sabtu - untuk hari Minggu, hari pertama? Hari Minggu adalah hari pertama dalam seminggu. Apakah Kristus mengubah hari? Saya menjawab tidak! "Setia milikmu, J. Card. Gibbons" 2 Timotius 3:11Ini tahu juga, bahwa pada hari-hari terakhir masa berbahaya akan datang. Hari Ketujuh Sabat Dibuat untuk Semua Orang. Banyak orang Kristen menyebut perintah keempat Allah sebagai "Hari Sabat Yahudi." Tapi tidak ada ekspresi ini ditemukan dalam Alkitab. Hari ketujuh disebut "hari Sabat Tuhan," dan tidak pernah disebut "hari Sabat Yahudi" (Keluaran 20:10).

      Probably not but nobody knows for sure, very hard to study super volcanos because not much is known about the mantles convection. All it takes is fresh magma surging into the reservoir.
